that's funny enough is absolutely worthless idea for electric vehicle. They use so much power that solar panels are all but useless. Always not enough surface area.
@WhyRequirePleaseAcquire These days solar panels are cheap as dirt yet vehicle manufacturers do not use it. There is a good reason for it. Its not wort it at all
@WhyRequirePleaseAcquire You are aware that fast car chargers use water cooling for cables? That gives you some idea how much power is needed. Now if you ever seen wires going from solar panels you know they are good for powering calculators not cars (for the available surface area)
Several times during this video the range is touted. 240 miles with a 5-hour wait to charge is a killer for travel. For city commuting, this could be a dream. For Sunday afternoon drives, this could be fun, but many people ride motorcycles because they are experiencing the outdoors ... I know it's a new idea, R & D is expensive, but you can't recover all R & D costs on the first buyers or there will never be any more buyers. Lots of good ideas die because they are not sustainable in the marketplace. I like it, but only with a quiet 1200 CC gasoline engine with a range further than a long walk.
Motorcycle riders prefer aggressive looking vehicles, for the most part. I understand that's obviously not who the vehicle might be targeted though, but it would be good to see something created with that in mind. Also, loud engines increase road presence and safety whilst using a low visibility vehicle like a motorcycle or this. When I had a ninja 650, cars occasionally pulled out on me or even attempted to move into my lane almost pushing me off the road. On the FZ1 with an akropovič exhaust, this has NEVER happened and I've never been involved in a crash since having it. Obviously there would be more factors that contributed, but being heard is a great safety feature. Ask any seasoned rider. Great concept though. It's pretty and cute.
@@GlobalIPTrust The carver trike is enclosed and would be a good alternative. In most countries, motorcycles aren’t used for basic transportation. They’re a form of recreation mostly, for use in good weather. In countries where they are used as real transport (eg Southeast Asia), low cost and nimble agility are valued, neither of which this thing has. This thing is the size of a small car, and someone looking for economical transportation would more likely choose a small car. I think it’s cool, it’s very interesting, but for a very small niche of users.

3:47 in the event of an accident, the driver will never face a frontal collision?? thanks to its hard endurable and egg shaped cabin??? I'm sorry, but that's not how physics work. this thing will smash into the front of another car, just as any other motorcycle.
Indeed. And if one wants to drive around in a small 2 passenger enclosed vehicle, one could get a smart car or similar, and have the same experience for 20% of the cost.
It's a great concept the development of which I have been following for the last 30 years. I'm sure it would be a fabulous toy for those that can afford it. However, there are some practical problems inherent in the design. Low seat means in traffic the driver can't see past the vehicle in front. Because of its small size and low height other road users may be unaware of its presence... until they crash into it.
@Skibidoop Yes it is longer than a motorcycle (except the most rediculous of stretch busas) but I have no idea why you are on about that. It has completely different visibility issues to motorcycling (motorcyclists have an excellent PoV for vision), and their shoulders/helmets can often be seen above traffic (important for self driving systems). So no the issues are not similar at all.

Probably a rear view camera.
