I thought the first squirrel was a photo it was so still. It got me a little when it moved 😜. Great work all around. Love it.

Always a pleasure to see a new video from you, Trey. Love your approach. I agree, animals are more difficult for me and I’m not very good at it 🙂

I appreciate it 🙏🏾🙏🏾 yeah it’s very difficult at times and I guess that’s what makes it more rewarding when you finally get a good shot of one

Nice video! Great to see you branch out. I am a "Walker" myself and while I enjoy just walking around with my camera and seeing what I can find, my best pictures tend to come when I just hang out in one spot and some animal I didn't even know was there shows up (watching ducks and a kingfisher shows up, or looking at deer and a little red squirrel runs right at me unaware I am there.) Those are the good moments and they come with being out there lots. Problem is that I get restless when staking out one spot. . . Also, smaller local parks where animals are more used to people and less skittish might work well.

Thank you 🙏🏾🙏🏾 I’m the same way, I hate sitting in one spot for more than 20 minutes because I feel like I’m missing out, but I have been doing that lately and it has paid off

Nice photos and video. I find myself, more and more, shooting anything nature. Wildlife, insects, macro, landscapes, etc.

Hey there! Great shots! I might talk about this in a video, but one thing I do is note if I see a certain animal during a specific month/season at a specific place and go back there every year. Like, there's a really active and chill red shouldered hawk that gets really close during the fall hunting for crayfish and lizards and it never fails. When you're able to identify reliable subjects, it makes things worlds easier.

I appreciate the tip. I’ll remember that one when I’m out taking photos

Nice video! I really like the music and general pace. For me I shoot a lot of dragonflies and insects in summer, and then swap to birds in winter. While more skittish, I've found that with birds you need to be patient and wait for them to approach you a lot more, vs Dragonflies or insects that you need to approach yourself.

Thank you 🙏🏾🙏🏾 and yep that’s what I’ve learned in the short span that I’ve been photographing birds. Gets really frustrating at times but it’s very rewarding when you finally get a good shot of a bird

Great crossover from macro to wildlife photography, I'd be more than pleased with any of your squirrel shots - if we had squirrels in NZ. Maybe consider plant photography for your next out of comfort zone experience. They're stunning and fascinating in macro, great in landscapes and tend to stay still a lot longer than things with legs. Great video as always, keep them coming.

Thank you 🙏🏾🙏🏾 I did do a lot of wildflower macro last year and that will continue when spring comes back. I want to get into photographing mushrooms this year

Looking forward to seeing your mushroom photos - especially if they're as weird as those insects you have over there. Although mushrooms kind of nail weird wherever they are.@@Xx7trey

You have a real talent for composition and 'getting a good shot', great video. Love your macro work too, I'm 64, tried your techniques but can't do it freehand like you, I 'shake' a tad too much 🙃

Amazing shots! As an amateur wild life photographer, I think my ratio of good shots is pretty similar to yours. But it's nice to spend the time out in nature.

I find macro is more difficult. Wildlife is fairly easy if once you have your camera setup correctly.

I believe wildlife is harder to photograph than most macro subjects.
