A08041988 he wasn't scared he was just angry when men are angry they tend to lose themselves and try and stop themselves from losing it or blowing up/out out of anger he was finding it hard to produce his words because he was angry was trying to maintain his anger so that it wouldn't get out of control fast and he didn't want to blow up and hit someone or do something serious or much worse
Cruella's voice actor is incredible, what a despicable and hilarious presence! She was the Disney Villain that freaked me out the most as a child. I had little 101 Dalmatian toys when I was young and when my mom made me clean them up, I would never put the dalmatians in the same box as Cruella because I was afraid she would scare them.
+Annabel Lee One of the things I love most about the character of Cruella is that she is the only Disney villianess who is NOT an actual witch; not in the true sense of the word. She has no super powers and doesn't cast spells. All she really does is bully everyone who crosses her path and drive fast. She's a spoiled rich bitch who is used to geting absolutely everything she wants w/money and intimidation. Cruella actually does have a background. She is the daughter of a very rich man; dead of course who left her an unreasonable amount of money. She is the perfect juxtaposition of fashion plate and scary skeleton; almost as if she was once a model but clearly, her evil ways and uber-greed have taken their toll on her looks from the inside out. Betty Lou Gerson was on two of my favorite 60's sitcoms; The Dick Van Dyke Show and the character of Cruella actually does look like a grotesque version of Betty.
To say someone is throwing shade means to talk shit. And I was referring to the part where she was talking about Roger and his songs. She was throwing shade by laughing and making fun of him
It’s really a testament to Cruella’s pettiness that Roger’s small act of defiance was enough for her to literally pay ex cons to rob their puppies. Especially since she bought the other puppies and if she needed an extra 15 could’ve just bought them. But because Roger said no, she had to prove that no one denies Cruella DeVil
Did anyone else find this scene to be hilarious? I remember as I kid I never laughed at it but once I got older and saw this for the first time in years I remember laughing hysterically at this scene, Cruella is just so funny.
I love it 🤣🤣 when she says, fine do what you want with them, drown them! 😂 And when she says you, you IDIOTS and slams the door so hard the window shatters and the thunder and lightning 🤣
Cruella is one of those villains who embodies Love To Hate. She's a horrible old hag who is rotten to her core and has no redeeming qualities whatsoever, yet you can't help but enjoy every moment she's onscreen, either for the sake of seeing her get what she deserves or just for how delightfully hammy and insane she is.
Cruella is perhaps the most realistic villain in Disney animated films. Yes people like her do exist and have been cruel to animals. The fact she is on high society is also pretty terrifying, cause she has enough resources to do things like that.
What makes cruella such a cool villain is the fact her and one of the main human leads have a history. They were old school mates. So every interaction they have feels very real, despite cruella taking over the conversation. And they keep it real with each other. Cruella being straight up that they're struggling, and Anita telling cruella about the spots coming in later. She's shown to be human to some while a villain to everyone else. Not many villains can say that. Also her design, voice, and animation is phenomenal.
You sound like AI almost. If you’re not AI, you need to stop watching so much TV. Deadass, you’re either AI, or have severe autism and your obsession is cartoons.
Cruella De Vil used to always scare me when I was little, including the live action version played by Glenn Close. She is just so insane and psychotic, that she is a freaking nightmare. Me too I remember my parents wanted to take me to the movies when it came out but I didn’t want to go because I was scared that she would pop out of the screen lol
+MorganTunny Mine too, mostly because she's one of the few Disney villains to EVER not be punished in some serious way for her misdeeds. Seriously, she wrecks into a snowbank and yells at her incompetent minions. At the very most she'll get ticketed for driving recklessly. That's a LOT better than most movie villains, who - y'know - wind up *DEAD*.
MorganTunny And on top of that, Anita and Roger have literally 0 idea of her involvement in their grief. Dogs in this particular version of the Disney'verse can't communicate with humans, so it's very within reason for HER to charge THEM with puppy-napping, since 84 of the puppies were bought and paid for...

I thought cruella de vil was just a woman with anger management issues but dammit she's insane. a woman who wants to make a coat out of dalmatian puppies. that's like making leather boots out of horses or cows.
Cruella De Vil is truly unreasonable. It's like no matter how hard you try to tell her something, it just goes from one ear into another and comes out on the other side. Her way or the highway now.
Narcissistic personality disorder encapsulated on film. They are charming if they think they can manipulate and get their own way, if not they reveal themselves either openly, or by some form of revenge.

I mean, people talkin shit about Cruella for being so bad to Roger while he was there... Roger quite literally SANG and PLAYED a song completely dedicated to calling Cruella the devil while she was downstairs
Always love how both Roger and Pongo have the same expression of being very pissed off and then once the ink goes all over Roger they both look alike still angry.
Cruella's mannerisms, diction, and shade are so lovely. Her accent makes her sound so rich. I love the hand flourish she does when she tells Anita that she and Roger can scarcely afford to feed themselves.

I think he's numb and in shock. shocked at how he mastered the courage to stand up to her and was probably shitting himself whilst she went on that rant
One of my friends said he could always defend a disney villain's actions. Whether it be the bad guy from Mulan, Mother Gothel, or Jafar. I asked him to defend Cruella. He just couldn't. She's the only disney villain he couldn't defend. To me, that makes her the most evil of them all. Because how on Earth do you justify stealing a bunch of cute, innocent puppies in order to kill them, skin them, and make them into a fur coat? You just can't. And she doesn't even care how it happens. Whether they're drowned, bashed in the head, or worse. Jesus. Now that's evil.
Kristy Frost I actually have sympathy and feel sorry for all villains. Ask yourself this, when someone is born, they aren't automatically good or evil...so, how and why did they choose to become villains in the first place?
@sagaofsarahrose and for his music career, which was insulted whereupon he got his revenge when the song went on radio (especially the radio on Cruella's *wrecked roadster) *wrecked in the climax
That is a fair point actually. The point I was trying to make, though, was just that we tend to look at things like this through modern eyes, but in the late 50s, early 60s, it really was just taken for granted that you could smoke virtually anywhere, and if anything it was probably seen as rude to tell someone not to. That said, things like butting a cigarette out in a cupcake probably would have been seen as rude in just about any era.
XD funny. Bet most of us think that when our pen doesn't work and give it a good smack until an absurd amount of ink bursts out and soaks everyone and all calm down and write out while casually talking about the weather. Also, I wish Disney movies would go back to these kinda themes; a good movie with some dark brooding themes not how its watered down and all kid friendly.
I came here because I had heard that the voice of Cruella was based on Tallulah Bankhead's voice. Now I see it wasn't just based, it was a dead on impersonation of Bankhead...and I had never noticed it before. very cool.
I honestly thought she jumped through the window when I was younger, now I realize she just slammed the door reaaaaaaaaaaallly hard LOL

1:02 “Come now, I’m being more than generous”. 😂
1:04 “ Blast this pen. Blast this wretched, wretched pen, ahhhhh”. 😂
1:37 this is my favorite part of roger saying no
You’ve gotta love her laugh 😎😆
"You fools! You....YOU IDIOT!"
" PH ROGER YOU WERE MAGNIFICENT DARLING!!" LADY THE POOR MAN LOOKS LIKE HE SHAT HIMSELF 3 BLOODY TIMES, IN PROUD OF THE FACT THERES NOTHING DRIPPING DOWN HIMS LEG THE POOR MAN
Um, doesn't Pongo have enough spots on him already?
Michael Glickman That's probably the point of his annoyed face.
Johnno9989 I was being sarcastic.
I prefer this version to the 1996 film version.
Amen to that, and let's just pretend the DTV sequel is non-canon.
thegeezerdan i love the 1996 film Glenn Close do a fab Job at playing Cruella
thegeezerdan
thegeezerdan The way Glenn Close says "you idiots" is way different than this one.
thegeezerdan everyone does
2:16 I love how Roger's still stood there like that, even after Cruella left XD
I think he's numb and in shock. shocked at how he mastered the courage to stand up to her and was probably shitting himself whilst she went on that rant
Cruella De Vil has got very good vocals. Especially when she yells at people. Makes her even more villainous, hateful and fearful as a villain.
Maria Fox hearing her yell always frightened me as a kid. 😨😨
@@princessrose1671and to think her voice actor also narrated the intro for Cinderella.
Got to roasting roger and his songs 🤣🤣 0:48
At 1:09 Roger and Pongo look like twins (same expression and spots) XD
Both do had the same brows and eyes
One of my friends said he could always defend a disney villain's actions. Whether it be the bad guy from Mulan, Mother Gothel, or Jafar. I asked him to defend Cruella. He just couldn't. She's the only disney villain he couldn't defend. To me, that makes her the most evil of them all. Because how on Earth do you justify stealing a bunch of cute, innocent puppies in order to kill them, skin them, and make them into a fur coat? You just can't. And she doesn't even care how it happens. Whether they're drowned, bashed in the head, or worse. Jesus. Now that's evil.
Of course she's the most evil. I mean, she SMOKES. For a Disney character, that's pretty hardcore.
themeatyouworkwith You were sad that she didn't get to murder a bunch of puppies? I mean, to each their own and all, but...damn.
themeatyouworkwith That would make for a very interesting Disney twist 😐
themeatyouworkwith No problem. I do that all the time too. But I figured it was for me anyway ;)
Kristy Frost I actually have sympathy and feel sorry for all villains. Ask yourself this, when someone is born, they aren't automatically good or evil...so, how and why did they choose to become villains in the first place?
2:13 - Pongo is like "And don't come back!"
cruella is every difficult customer ever
I REMEMBER THS SCENE I MUST'VE WATCHED THIS AT LEAST A DECADE AGO OMG
Me splurging on chicken nuggets and drinks: "how marvellous, how marvellous..."
Me checking my balance: "how perfectly- eurghh!"
Roger was scared stiff but handled that like a boss!
The best touch for me is the way he stutters in standing up to Cruella.
@sagaofsarahrose and for his music career, which was insulted whereupon he got his revenge when the song went on radio (especially the radio on Cruella's *wrecked roadster)
*wrecked in the climax
1:16 That's it Pongo, you give her the evil look! lol
i like how thunder randomly roars as she walks and leaves lmaooo
This movie was my favourite when I was younger
I love Cruella de Vil's evil laugh 0:53
What a brave man Roger is standing up to Cruella saying she cannot take the puppies 1:39 -1:46
You know a person is bad when think they can smoke in any building they like without permission.
It was 1961, and Roger is a pipe smoker.
@@kirkengstrom917 It's roger's house though, not Cruella's, that's the point I was making in case it wasn't clear.

How I reacted in the morning when I expected bacon and eggs for breakfast, but instead I would find oatmeal and apples on my plate.
It kills me everytime I watch this scene. The way she does a quick 180 when she sees they're spotless. "Horrid little white rat ugh!" 😂😂
Roger's single act of defiance is what led to Cruella hiring Horace and Jasper to kidnap the puppies, along with the rest of the story.
I came here because I had heard that the voice of Cruella was based on Tallulah Bankhead's voice. Now I see it wasn't just based, it was a dead on impersonation of Bankhead...and I had never noticed it before. very cool.
makes Cruella likeable lol
LMAO, all of them were shook when she appeared
2:13 it's like Pongo is saying "You stay away from our kids! And don't EVER come back!"
Don't mess with a daddy and his babies
@@niahart8028 they can but in their own way
Have you seen the movie Up?
Never mess with a father who loves their children trust me you don’t want to face an angry dad!
0:53 when cruella de vil makes an evil laugh, I laugh pretty hard every time I hear it XD
Dats what i call rage quit xD
+sparkshadowtiger Even before the phrase was invented, if you think about it... She rage quitted like a queen. xD
I couldn’t help but laugh when she started laughing!
The voice acting is impeccable.
Is nobody going to talk about how Nanny completely owns Cruella at 0:19-0:24?
She's like a little kid standing up to a parent right here.
