  • Ugandan authorities are expressing concern over the move by Kenya to deploy a contingent of 50 armed security officers to the disputed Migingo and Ugingo islands. Ugandan vice president Edward Ssekandi and deputy Prime Minister Eriya Kategaya have termed the move by Kenya as one that was causing unnecessary tension calling for patience in dealing with the situation as they wait for the outcome of a survey report on the disputed islands. This coming after Uganda responded in kind to Kenya's move by increasing the number of police officers on the island from six to thirty six. Willis Raburu with the latest developments.
