@@benhogan6482 Yes, we agree with you. Snakes are not animals that are beloved by everyone. But we try to show people that snakes need respect. It is sometimes difficult because many people fear snakes and some of them got bitten before or somebody from their family died after snakebite.
There are many islands with birds, only a few in the world with many snakes. We were on the island just for 24 hours, but we saw 6 cobras and filmed 3.
Living in harmony with hundreds of cobras in such a tiny island is just an imaginary stroke of hallucination....these brave fishermen are desperately in need to make a living and running the risk of being bitten by a very deadly snake
Have you been there? So what do you know? Have you spoken with fishermen? They think that cobras are spirits of the island, they let them crawl around. When we handled these snakes they were asking why we are doing that. All of them came to see that we are releasing them. They will not allow anybody to take the snakes away.
No, I have never been there and I won’t put my foot on that island even with a gratis ticket....as elegant and sweet to cohabit in harmony with nature; cobras are neither pets nor spirits ....that was a crucial missing piece of information on the video: it didn’t emphasis on the number of fishermen who have been killed by the cobras spirts ???
@@MKT1584 in the video, it says "no one has yet to be bitten by a snake on snake island" or seems their harmony the fisherman and snakes share, are beneficial to them both, in order to live peacefully on that island. Also, it was also said, that the cobras have lost most of their defensive danger. You must keep in mind, this has probably been going on for many generations and from the looks of the fisherman, they didn't seem bothered by the cobras. In fact, they will just sit there and watch or even move out the way of the snakes. Thwir way of life seems to be working fine and if people were constantly getting bit, I doubt the fisherman would live there or may have done something about it. You must understand, this is their way of life, not ours. Just because you may not understand their way of life, doesn't mean they are unhappy and etc.

Yes, it was amazing to see how they respect snakes!
because birds shouting to those snake rowrowrow the boat
They only care about dumping their trash and polluting the island and lake with their garbage
My Uganda the pearl of Africa 😍😍
Yes, it is a magical country!
Nice vlogging, keep up a vlogging....
Thank you for watching!
Who else sent here because of Quarantine?
There is a huge abundance of frogs, birds and trash

Interesting and worthwhile video.
Glad you think so!
Great video!!
Thanks for the visit!
Amazing video! Its like Dry Tortugas with a twist. Also 6:58 is exactly how I feel when I go to a coastal park and hear masses people...
Thank you very much!! We are happy that you enjoyed watching it!
Excellent content. The videography was brilliant. How many people were part of the team? I noticed that the birds stayed in the deeper part of the island and humans were only in one corner. It must have been dangerous to take the shots of the birds and nests given that it is a snake Island.
Thank you so much!!! Our team had 4 people. Cobras could be anywhere, so we had to be careful. But this island is amazing place.
Imagine your boat has sunk and you are swimming for a land. Suddenly see this island😱😂
There are plenty of fish around and also many birds. Better than being on an island without any food, no? 😂
Seems like there are people living in there with houses
@@worldpeace5853 Yes, people are living there because they have jobs there. Just men.
Sunk
Rob Soucy thanks
Woah!!! This is like a birds park!!! Awesome!
It really is! Birds are easier to find there than snakes :D
@@LivingZoology I would like to invite you to subscribe to my channel. You might like diving as well. Thank you very much.
Very great chettha video...
Thank you for watching.
The people on the island respect the cobras, so the cobra's almost lost their defensive behaviors. I wonder what the cobras were like with defensive behaviors?
Forest cobras usually hood up very quickly, try to strike, etc. Check out other Forest cobras from the mainland: ruclips.net/video/XQJsDLtKOFU/видео.html
Snakes don't lose nothing . It reacts once you trigger it .
Even spiders around my lil garden ..chase me down when I get to close or attempt to kill some cases .. I found out some can jump and even grow bigger when you let them..pros. they help with the pest..because that's their diet I let them be .. thank God ..and appreciate nature..just like tree need our breathing we survive from their existence..rest of natural applies
Now this is what I call very necessary info .....much needed fam
Title: Snake Island!!
video: 1 snek 😂😂
Read the comments before you make uninformed remarks😉😉
Kiss Of Fire That makes no sense dude lol the video had one snake Hahahaha I’m dying 😂😂😂
1 kind of snake not 1 snake.
Allan kisembo the description literally says “full of snakes” hahahaha
@@gggnarly Yh full of snakes, like one kind..
Awesome 👍
Beautiful island with one 🐍😍😂
Thank you 🤗 There were 3 cobras in this video and we would be able to film more if we stayed longer than 24 hours.
RUclips: How many ads you want?
Living Zoology: yes
Sorry if too many ads appeared, sometimes they do.
"This is a rare example of people living in harmony with nature"
Shows a snake crawling through a yard littered with plastic trash.
Well, at least these people don't kill snakes and tolerate them. There is plenty of rubbish in many places in Africa, nothing strange.
@@LivingZoology loving venomous snakes is not normal. I'm not saying slaughter every one. They serve a purpose. But loving them and allowing them to live that close is not normal at all
And rather fascinating that they believe these things are spirits.
@@benhogan6482 Yes, we agree with you. Snakes are not animals that are beloved by everyone. But we try to show people that snakes need respect. It is sometimes difficult because many people fear snakes and some of them got bitten before or somebody from their family died after snakebite.
This island found in my country unganda
Yes it's in Uganda
"Women are not allowed on the island"
That's a WIN right there.
This is awesome. My favorite cobra specie
Awesome, thank you!
Another gem of a video, who would of thought of a place like this in the world besides India?
It is amazing place and hidden gem for snake lovers! :) Thank you for watching!
Perfect places to settle down and live peacefully 😂😂😅
Haha 😅 For those men it is probably like that!
That’s so amazing 😍
Me: Hey I think I'm moving to the island
Natives: No woman are allowed here
Me: Taxi!!
This is amazing!
Thank you very much! 🙏
Definitely a Bird Island
There are many islands with birds, only a few in the world with many snakes. We were on the island just for 24 hours, but we saw 6 cobras and filmed 3.
Happy to know about this island. But humans dump waste everywhere and making it unfit to live after some years
Humans are messy everywhere. In this place, the wild animals live in that mess and thrive. Very special story.
Hahahahahahahahahahah thrive in garbage!? Humans may thrive in garbage but animals do not
Living in harmony with hundreds of cobras in such a tiny island is just an imaginary stroke of hallucination....these brave fishermen are desperately in need to make a living and running the risk of being bitten by a very deadly snake
@@MKT1584 u seems jerk to me

But I love snakes. They are so cute especially their eyes.
@@che-maticschemistrymathema7044 We agree!!! Snakes are very interesting and cute animals! They deserve more love from people!
2:31 This dude's wearing sandals... I'm surprised he can catch fish you'd think the weight of his balls would sink any boat.
People wear sandals there as there were no cobras. They are there but no accidents, it is amazing!
great to watch
Thank you!!!

A video about snake island but it shows mostly birds dnt watch this waste of 10mins you only see one snake tht the camera has followed about
You see there 3 cobra individuals :D :D And if you cannot recognize adult from youngster then what should we say! It is a complex story and we covered it all with all inhabitants, so sorry!
Ciara Markie tell me about it
I see more birds than snake, shoulda change the title to birds island
Like.. Who felt this is birds Iceland.. not a snake Iceland..
Snake Island or bird lsland

Btw those fish they catch in Lake Victoria are Nile Perch. They can grow up to 6ft and well over 200lbs but due to over fishing of the lake the large ones are rare.
You are right, those are Nile Perches.
but we saw a single snake in different angles, is this the single snake there
bro this was captured during the day wait at night when ur sleeping u will wake and find six or more in ur bed without them doing any harm to you
It is not possible for me to live with a venomous snake, all that i met I killed. Not my friends sorry
Your an uneducated stupid fuck. Snakes are a vital part of the ecosystem venomous or not. Dont kill any animal..
Lennart v I appreciate your kind words, but I will be fine so sending them back to you enjoy
There. are many rats that appreciate your actions.
Looks Very Beautiful And Peaceful 👌👌

This is true example of coexistence 🤗
We haven't seen any other place in Africa where people tolerate venomous snakes around them like that :)
