I was going to put this one in the 1U Chia farmer that has the 9200 currently, but it's just so damn stable I really don't want to touch it. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

would mention id definitely not install this card permanently on a riser like yours, these LSI cards run EXTREMELY hot, worth either attaching a fan directly to it or position it better so that your airflow will properly pass that heatsink.... @HomeSysAdmin

I found this video very helpful as I have purchased a controller with LSI9217-8i IT mode firmware.
Can I put a link to this video on my blog?

Does this work on any brand of LSI 920x cards? I See other "off brands" with much cheaper cards that claim to be 9207 or 9200 and I'm not sure if there will be any issues flashing it. I also see a dell branded 9200-8e card but i'm nervous that the flash utility wont work. Anyone have experience with those other similar cards?

I just used the exact same procedure on an HP-branded LSI 9217-4i4e without issue.

"We all ready the agreement" - LOL. Your console font is way small. Could be better videos with an increase. And where is your ground strap? Thanks for sharing

I haven't seen anyone use a grounding strap since 1995 lol. How are you viewing the video that the font is too small? I scaled it down to 480p and it's still readable. Is it a phone?

I worked for Harris/NASA in 1995. They made us wear them. I still use mine out of habit. Using Chrome on Winders10. I can zoom in with control++. No worries. Saw all that white border around the window. Thought increasing font would enlarge the console? Same view on phone. Don't change. Bigger fish to fry. Thanks

This does not work for UEFI systems.

I don't believe so. It's best to do it on a BIOS-based system.

very dangerous manual. some controllers are NOT compatible with latest FW and after erase all you will get a birck. be carefull when you giving advices!

    • @HomeSysAdmin
      @HomeSysAdmin  3 месяца назад

This is taken directly from the LSI documentation. If you're not sure, I suggest reviewing the instructions from the manufacturer for the card you have.

@@HomeSysAdmin I sugest you to turn on the brain. Maybe manufacturer LSI wrote instructions before B0 revision released.
this doesn't justify dangerous advice in 2024

    Hi Bro,
need your help. Split Tunneling is enabled on the OpenVPN server but it seems my system is missing some configuration which is causing internet not to simultaneously work when VPN is connected I want the internet to be working on my base system as well & I should also be able to connect to my work network as a lot of websites are blocked inside the work network.
Can you please tell me what settings I need to do on my laptop VPN to make this work. Kindly help.
There is an ovpn configuration file in which details are given. But still after doing below settings the internet on my ubuntu machine disconnects when connected to VPN
