The artificial devil fruit was a failure since the color of Momonosuke's zoan form(pink) was not similar to Kaido's (azure)(which was the original version) Vegapunk was a perfectionist.
other fan theory is that Zoan fruits have spirits inside of them, which will inhabit user after cunsuming fruit, and grant them basic info of they powers, and yes it was stated i manga, during luffy awakening, that zoan fruits seems to have will of they own,and since Vegapunks was created, it didnt have spirit inside, which is why momonosuke did not knew how to use his abilities after consuming it and had to learn it on its own

@@Tekau1 It’s not how it works, true "Devil fruits" don’t do anything to a second eater, it is "Smile fruits" that can give their bad side to multiple eater (wich comprise the inability to express any other way than smile and laugh, and also the swimming part). Also, true "Devil fruits" have a bad taste, but "Smile fruits" are said to be delicious.

The tree that grows the fruit they talked about at the end (every 50 years) was part of a one-shot before One Piece was written. Oda's had the ideas for his story since he was a kid, building it over and over again. He had a couple of early one-shots that played with the world and ideas before he actually got into Jump and started the story we know and love today.
It's probably already said, but the reason devil fruit users sink is because the sea literally turns against them and refuses to hold them up anymore.

@SwayFred That would arguably be a net loss, depending on the power gained. They would lose their ability to swim, making their racial advantage of breathing and fighting underwater null and void. So the tradeoff would have to be pretty significant to make it worth it.

We don’t know how Blackbeard does it it’s all theories. But he waited for Whitebeards death before he stole it. His primary fruit is the darkness fruit which completely nullifies any other devil fruit abilities, and is able to act as a blackhole. Most would say he has the best two devil fruits in the series: the power of darkness, and the power of earthquakes.
Ge said in the video that devil fruit’s powers reincarnate to the closest fruit when it’s users die, so maybe Blackbeard knew and did this with Whitebeard. Or it could be an added feature of his darkness fruit we don’t know.
I heard that Blackbeard has three personalities or different versions of himself within his body. So maybe that is a reason. It can make sense but then not really. But it’s one piece. So In that logic it makes sense.
Devil fruits do not respawn to the nearest fruit idk why people think that but it respawns randomly somewhere in the world

We can't neglect the fact that htey said his body was different in some way and that was likely a factor as to why he could use two devil fruit abilities.

Zoan fruits are said to contain the souls of the corresponding fruit. Because of this, they are compatible when it comes to infusing them into objects, due to them not having souls.
The video, while good, is a bit misleading, cuz Chopper's Monster form has never been confirmed to be an awakening but for some reason people have concluded it to be.
Also, Carnivorous is not an actual sub-category of Zoans, we only officially have 2: Ancient and Mythical. Some people got confused cuz a character in the show mentioned someone being a Carnivore-type zoan, and assumed that was a sub-category.
I never thought about that in the end Blackbeard maybe took the power before it became a fruit so like they didn't clash in him possibly

Kaido's original Fruit is the mythical zoan fish-fish fruit, and though it has not been stated in the Canon, his Awakening was most likely having turned into a dragon... just like in Pokemon when Magikarp become Gyarados.

I don’t know if an awakening is necessary. Momonosuke was able to transform into a dragon but then again his fruit was artificial. So, maybe Kaido started off as a fish, then awakened into a dragon. Maybe Kaido was always a dragon or maybe Momonosuke had an awakening with his fruit not enough info to be sure

You don’t learn the name when you eat the fruit at all, this myth comes from a bad translation of the manga.
the artifical devil fruit also has a failure rate meaning a large portion of the ppl who eat it die, as for blackbeard i believe its the yami yami that lets him wield the 2 devil fruits but i also heard a theory that he might have 2 hearts & that lets the two devil fruit curses stay apart last but not least there is also believed to be 3 god devil fruits 1 being the 1 enel used the other got recently revealed but i wont spoil it
This is wrong, the artificial devil fruit aka smile, does have a failure rate, but it doesn't cause death. When someone eats a smile fruit, there is a 1/10 chance that they gain a zoan ability. So if you had 10 smile devil fruits in front of you, odds are only one would grant someone an ability and the remaining 9 are failed duds. If you eat a dud, you will lose the ability to express any emotions except for a smile.
It's not that they die. People who eat failed artificial Devil Fruit, which are also known as SMILE Fruits, are rendered unable to exhibit any emotion but happiness, and have a permanent smile etched on their faces.
As far as things go in the series with the Devil Fruits, the main reason from what we were told in the manga as to why they make you unable to swim is because they are considered an insult to nature. Some people in the One Piece world according to Vegapuck, wish that they could do something else to further their evolution and the Devil Fruits are the manifestation of those wishes.

The way the 'anchor' no-swimming penalty effectively works by draining the user of the strength in their body. No longer able to even move their fingers, they can't keep themselves afloat and so they sink.

Ok, after hearing the last bit of the video, i have to wonder what Devil Fruit would be the best to have in the bedroom.
I'd say a strong contender would be Whitebeard's Tremor fruit because you could essentially become a human vibrator.
Though perhaps Foxy's slow fruit would also be good. Hit your partner with it, do your thing, then 30 seconds later they get hit with the sensations of all of it at once. Devastating if you're actually any good.
Also most devil fruits aren't known about completely by the world or users either by not having enough information or the World Government withholding information. Many people were confused when Luffys DF wasn't the Gomu Gomu fruit and he didn't know despite previously during Enies Lobby Kaku and Khalifa were told they'd know what fruit they got once they ate it. I think it's obvious they only know the powers they got based on the changes in their bodies. Luffy never lied about his fruit. He became a rubberman and the official name of the fruit was the Gomu Gomu fruit. This was due to the government covering it up. The only thing he said about his fruit that wasn't true was when he told Momonosuke he wasn't a Zoan which is most likely due to his stupidity as well as what Zoans are usually. Zoans are usually transformation based and Luffy before Gear 4 didn't have any transformation. He knew he could change his body however he wants, but most likely thought that's just how rubber works which is also shown with his culverin attacks in Gear 4 and Snakeman where his attacks bounces on air which as stated by Kaido shouldn't be possible by just rubber. Also continiously accelerating his python attack against Katakuri is also impossible with just rubber. And unless you make a hole which Luffy obviously didn't he shouldn't be able to inflade his bones. Especially considering Bones aren't hollow and therefore can't work like balloons. Muscles and skin could work like balloons if they were rubber and have holes in which to blow air into, but not bones. So multiple times Luffy did things that only worked because he imagined it would work showing he has properties of rubber, but that's not all.

they didnt actually say you instantly know the name, rather you learn the nature. which could be interpreted as you learn how to activate your power and generally what it lets you do by default.
you then probably come up with the name yourself, which explains why kaku called his giraffe fruit a cow fruit, he just thought giraffes were a type of cow.

Whitebeard is called Whitebeard because in japanese his name, Shirohige, means "White facial hair". The japanese doesn't have different names for facial hair like beards or mustaches

You should start reading One Piece, brother! I know it seems like a long journey but if you binge the chapters and just read a bunch at a time then it isnt too difficult. It's a trip!

The two fruit thing was kinda explained in the series like this: Each devil fruit contains a "devil" that grants a power. When a second fruit is consumed, the two devils begin to fight until the consumer dies, releasing both back into the world to emerge as fruits elsewhere.

The first statement in the video is wrong. You dont learn the name of the fruit you ate magically. Its a misunderstsndkng. And further in the story it is shown by some people using devilfruit powers but calling it "magic " since they dont know they ate a devilfruit. Theyre isolated from the rest of the world and are not aware of their existense. Furthermore another user has been given falsd information of the name of his fruit and he believes its that fruit. If he knew the name by eating he would call out the people telling him the wrong name.
The ones who eat the artificial devil fruit amd actually get powers can't transform at all. They just mutate into a person with animal parts.

Yes it is a logia. It's the only logia who can be touched because according to his own word '' darkness absorb anything ''. Not only does blackbeard absorb damage, in doing so he also feel more damage than normal people would. We don't have real numbers but for exemple, if you attack Blackbeard, he would have twice the damage.
