Just by looking at his actions towards Sophie one can alledgly believe he is short tempered and always rough with Sophie. He never apologizes for anything Sophie calls him out. Maybe if he acted like this behind closed doors then we might believe him.

@littleangel8955 It's the stuff he was saying and if you have to scream and yell everytime you argue and you can't just talk that sounds pretty bad. Bc you can disagree without yelling it doesn't make sense why it would be yelling every single time. Every once in awhile sure. But everytime is weird. My parents used to scream at each other like that and physical abuse usually followed it and they yelled at each other everyday so I really don't think anyone would think it's healthy to "need" to yell everytime you get into an argument.

@littleangel8955 It depends if you feel like you are going to be physically harmed. Sophie did and hid in a closet. Generally, men are physically stronger. I guess that doesn't mean that a woman couldn't be physically abusive.
If your husband and you just yell at each other, that's a little different than alluding to you being such a good person 'cause you won't beat him up. Rob did that to Sophie.
The first thing in an abusive argument is that usually the abuser tries to take the phone so that the "victim" cannot call for help if s/he doesn't feel physically safe.
Rob was trying to take Sophie's phone. When she didn't give it, he threatened to take it or break it, and he berated her for not paying for the phone. It was a gift and that's another thing a truly abusive person does: threaten to or take back gifts. In the abuser's mind, the person no longer deserves any gifts.
It is the ultimate goal to try to reduce the person's self-esteem and cry for help. The abuser also tries very hard to block ANY attempt of defense from the "victim."
This may have been a one-time thing for Rob. But, this behavior, if kept up, leads to worse consequences. Sophie is staying.....

Of course, he is going to do some damage control. Who wouldn't. Is he mean with Sophie? Yes, absolutely. But Sophie is not without blame. She has lied and kept secrets. Runs away from her husband and involves everyone she knows in her relationship. She is very immature and wasn't ready for marriage. Rob should have looked past the physical and realized this. I hope they go their separate ways and we never see them again. If they are on the next The Last Resort, I will skip their segments.

Sophie isn’t without blame but Rob should’ve NEVER responded the way he did. He is manipulative. Sophie prob didn’t say most stuff to protect herself which is still WRONG but not nearly as bad as his actions. She should’ve never married his defensive crazy ass

Don't be so sure about how confident women are just because they are social around men or in a relationship. I'm 44 years old and I grew up in Los Angeles partying down the Sunset Strip and Hollywood Blvd as far back as the early 90s underage and drank my ass off so I was definitely uninhibited and lots of wild nights but to this day I still get very nervous for a while into a relationship, even living together I have never just walked around naked or across a room. I didn't even like doing that in gym class around women and I was perfectly fit and in shape. Some people are just more self aware, prude, or private. It takes a very close bond to feel totally at ease to just lay around, trust and security and comfort. They don't have any of that. In reality, half the time these people are strangers despite lengthy online courtships. None of that could reach closeness or comfort. Plus, when you're always on the defense and licking wounds from fighting girls get guarded and not as much shy as stingy. We don't want you touching us, making us feel more vulnerable, we are thinking of unkind words and feel like we don't really like you in moments you might feel tender so she may have played coy but was either not turned on or just had walls up. Women are complicated. You're a confident guy, I would not expect any of this to resonate with you but there is some insight. I doubt other women don't know what I mean, at least at certain times. Men misread women and women try to front one thing on the outside to get certain reactions. There's some inherent manipulation in that kind of behavior, it's like a little girl doing a pouty face to get her way, for example.
They are both abusers and take advantage of each other. They don't know any better. Where would they learn better from? There isn't one worse than the other, the lessor of the abusers, it's both of them highly toxic and dysfunctional individuals who together, are going to be nothing short of explosive and toxic hell. Their life, their choice. Both of them need to seek some serious psychological support because there isn't one thing right about them, until they get right on their own.

I don't completely disagree but I think it's weird that you're saying Sophie is abusive she stays calm when Rob is mad and she's able to talk about how she feels and what she's thinking without yelling. So I'm not diminishing your opinion or anything I guess I just don't see it. Bc he always freaks out when he gets upset its like he can't just chill out for a second and then make his point without yelling. And he knew she wouldn't be able to work right away when she came over here but in that video he was acting like it's her fault that she can't help pay for anything. Abuse as I am sure you know comes in multiple forms but yeah, they are both toxic and to be honest, it's not even their fault. That's why I said their families have failed them, particularly the parents because they have Absolutely No concept of how to navigate healthy relationships and that begins at home.

Psychological abuse comes in vast forms. I was with someone who did just that. There were moments of rage like Rob, then moments where he shut completely down and they don't speak. That's a form of gaslighting which is abusive of another person.
Sophie also does similarly, she will continue talking and talking even more over him then she controls the conversation by walking away. Neither of them have been guided properly, they both lack coping skills which are taught at home when you are a child. Her mother was apparently to busy into herself and her addictions which is as selfish as you can get, to be bothered with maturing up as a mother and guide her child, make her the priority and help her build self worth which is where you find self esteem/confidence.
Had she done so, Sophie would be able to decipher between toxic and good relationships. She would be able to disconnect without guilt from her mother and Rob too! That's why I said above that Sophie and Rob both have been failed by their parents and the way they navigate relationships is really not their fault.

That said, the phone in his hand didn't ring so they called a different Rob phone and she felt it vibrate. So at the end of the day he does have another phone.

If i went missing for 2 days and my husband didn't know where i was, if i was safe, who i was with or what i was doing i can tell you his response wouldn't be good. Sophie filmed a few seconds of an argument and its been made out he's so abusive. I don't agree with either of their behaviours but how would anyone react in that particular situation. I think Sophie is used to a toxic environment and she fosters that. Its heartbreaking and Rob needs to be very careful cause she could get him in serious trouble. Unfortunately there are people who create trouble then involve the police and it can look like someone should be arrested when in reality they don't know everything. Rob needs to learn to not feed Sophies disfunction and walk away. I don't condone his attitude but I also don't condone going missing for a few nights and your spouse not knowing where you are. I also do not condone going for a few months and disrespecting your marriage, I also don't condone the name calling that's gone on. Yes Rob is wrong in his delivery but his frustration is understandable and its easy for some women to do the pretend crying and fear routine. To show such a small part of the argument was meant to discredit Rob and paint him in a certain manner, it shouldn't ever have been seen as we don't know the whole story. Im in no way placing blame on anyone individual because they all need to grow up and seek help, my point is i believe Sophie, sadly, is comfortable in disruption because thats how she was raised and she will create that to feel comfortable. The whole thing is very sad and everyone, including Rob, has a breaking point. I hope they get help separately and get off this silly dangerous merry go round they're on

Rob and Sophie, I am sorry your relationship is in chaos. Please don't allow friends to put their influence in your relationship. I have 3 phones. I have one number that I give my employer because I can turn it off after I call out sick. One phone for family, my children's schools and friends. A phone for the Bills and Utilities. An additional phone does not mean that he is cheating if he has one. As long as there is not any violence or aggressive talk, Sophie go home and LOVE your husband. Put it on him really good and tell there will be more as long as he behaves.

Well in the newest episode after they left the ligere shop he did as she asked and tried talking it out but she didn't want to understand each other that he should just tell her she's beautiful and make her feel good that's it. She yelled at him yelled over him and refused to discuss calmly or even hear his side. She was like a 16yo fr. I think there's a side to her that we don't see n that 90d only shows his bad moments. I have a perspective that might surprise you I have body dysmorphia and was burnt on my stomach at a young age and I had a kid. I absolutely love and trust and can be myself around my fiancé but we’ve been together 5 years he has never seen my stomach lol so it’s very possible to feel uncomfortable in a relationship even if it’s committed
