Are you sure of the 350 000 liters in every truck ? Isn't that more like 35 000 ? A really big truck is about 35m3. So this is not 11 millions liters a day, but 1,1million.
Switching back over to glass should at least improve the situation, though I'm aware that glass has its own issues, such as higher cost, glass shards ending up in animals' digestive tracts, etc.
Do they clean all those pipes?? Hot water process or do they just leave them?
