- Early morning Milton Keynes commuter Central - you'd think they'd have a recorded message for that cri de couer. Next into Platform 1 is Tornado, with the Armistice Day special to Canterbury. It's great to see the train bringing smiles to people's faces. Out onto the open road, but on this racetrack speeding Pendolinos come and go in surreal fashion through the swathes of steam.

Excellent video. Tornado looking in great form. As you say quite surreal with the steam and the Pendolino 'cruising' up on the inside even though Tornado is going at a fare rate by then. Would like to see Tornado allowed up to her top speed she was built for. Thanks for posting, Dave.
Will I have watched and listened to this video a number of times now. The departure from Milton Keynes and the sounds you captured are really nostalgic. A steam engine being driven properly. Thank you.
Very nice video, with a great contrast between the modern railway and its passengers and this example of an earlier age
"The next train from platform one will be a REAL train"!
Nice one Will. Great to see Tornado speeding down the WCML. Barry

@EMuksteam - great day - with 3 hours in Canterbury...good museums! Invicta (Canterbury and Whitstable Railway) and Ivor the Engine (Oliver Postgate was a local) under the same roof. Couldn't afford the cathedral though!
