No two singers, ever, in any musical group whatsoever could even come close to the insane talent of John and Paul when they put their two voices together!!!
There’s just something about John’s delivery that nobody has ever been able to match. And it’s not just when he sings high-and you can hear the pain in his voice (like “Mr. Moonlight” or the chorus of “This Boy”)… He could take the simplest vocal parts-and turn them into something magical. A perfect example: On this song, during the part “and from the first time”… It’s like the words are just _oozing_ out of his mouth. 2:11 -&- 2:25 But it just fits so perfectly with the song. Or on “Girl” - Those breathy inhales make the song so intimate; And the way his voice has that brassy tone, that somehow, literally sounds like it is aching. Or on “A day in the life”-You can literally hear him going through an existential crisis. Everything he did made the song intimate and real; And he was an absolute Genius when it came to Vocal Phrasing. He was like the ‘Daniel Day-Lewis of Singing’. He completely absorbed the character that he was portraying.
In Look up the number Lennon would act as an old lady, and the in Hey bulldog he would act a dog. He had a great act and a great voice for rock'n'roll, and attitude. He made some songs totally unreal.
I agree 100% and find it so fascinating to this day. JL literally transcended singing into pure speech. Meanwhile any other covers, they sound like “singing” hence partial why the original can’t be matched
Pure soul singing - depths of happiness and sadness, channeled all at once, at every second, real and raw. And his lyrics are so direct and haiku with just the right words - no more, no less
Gives me chills to hear them like this. Hearing John take a breath before belting it out just brings peace to my soul. There will never be anyone like them ever again. Lennon-McCartney was a gift from the heavens
Hello Beatlemaniacs! I've been uploading (and I hope I can continue) Beatles Isolated Tracks, with the only purpose of share to all of you and enjoy in a different way the masterpieces that The Beatles gave us. If you can please share with all your Beatles fans friends, It could help me too much to continue doing this. I'm very sure that all of you will love the tracks like me. Greetings from Mexico!
This is nothing short of intense. It's liberating, emotionally stirring, and poignant, on so many levels. John & Paul were saying goodbye to their fans, and hoping they had not let us down.
i've always been a fan of Lennon's voice like it has that oozing character and honesty when he sings..and yet I'd always have this great appreciation for Paul doing the second voice/back vocals (sometimes with George) bec it takes a very good ear to have that skill to harmonize with the main vocals, and it also adds color to the vibe of a song when singers do harmonize..gotta love the Beatles!!!
And to remember way back when, these awesome men performed this song - Live- on the top of Apple Studios for all to hear !! Wow !! I could tell it was a sad time for Ringo that day. He never really smiled much.. He I am sure, was sad that they would never be the Beatles again.. But what a way to go out !! and also with Abbey Road !!! A long 56 years from Beatles's 64.. Thank you all good men and your lovely companions, and families, for sacrificing so much for us !!!
I can dig it John. Impeccable harmonies from Paul and John Like no orher.. Just around five years after I wanna hold your hand on Ed Sullivan. They were in such a hurry to mature musically that they in advertently did it overnight. It was a hard days night though and probably in Hamburg
Sin duda, se complementaban muy bien. Además ponen todo su esfuerzo en las notas altas. Como si recién hubieran llegado a la fama, cuando ya eran los mejores del mundo.
It’s hard to really let your voice out in front of or with others it’s a personal thing. These guys were close and knew just letting it go would be alright. Most people are too embarrassed to scream like that.

Paul screaming his soul out, on John's song. He really gave it all, everytime. Best vocal combination ever.
