Ave Maria (Schubert/Vivancos)

Beautifully arranged by Bernat Vivancos for choir. A different melody for this well performed song and will give you a breath of fresh air. We all know Franz Schubert well and it takes a very creative composer to bring a new dimension to the well know tune.
Born in 1973 in Barcelona to a family deep in music, Vivancos studied in Paris and Oslo, influenced by both avant-garde European music in Paris and the well oriented music from Norway. Vivancos went to become the Artistic Director/Conductor of Escolania di Monserrat from 2007-2014. Thereafter, he concentrates on composing his music.

With this beautiful song, Maestro Porte and I really wanted to enhance the acoustic of Victoria Concert Hall and we played with different layouts of the choir. We came to the conclusion the layout you see in the video best magnify the different sound level of the choir. Those of you that were there experienced something unusual that day. A live performance is always better so remember to go to a live concert when available.
Music is not a privilege, it's everyone's basic right.
