Another good catch By you both in answer to a comment further down The Hst trains are at Wsr for several weeks to free up space at laira depot Plymouth. While that depot is being tasked with the accelerated withdrawal of hst from front line services both GWR and cross country trains. In Return for this the wsr was given permission to use the Hst this weekend.
Hi Mike & Val. I Droned the same Train between Dunster & Bluey on Sunday... Your video starts where mine finishes. I'll upload later as having problems with the Audio I recorded.
We are looking forward to seeing that Percy. While away we went to the Valley of Rocks near Lynton and saw two people perched right on the top of the rocks. We thought one could well be you!
A GWR on the WSR ❤. 43042 I have this very loco in Hornby 00 scale in the (I believe) first 'First Great Western' livery of Purple ( or is it blue? Colour blind so cannit tell) with the white cab sides and gold bar with The First logo on the loco side. Lovely to see it's still plying it's trade with GWR but at a more sidate speed for an OAP ❤. Many thanks for sharing at my fav WSR station.
What time was the HST Mike. I’m wondering if it was the one we was on? Ours was very full. We were in second coach from the front. So heading back We left Minehead around 2:30 was back at lideard about 4:00ish?? Is my guess. It was great to be on this! HSTs are my favourite. Also yesterday Andy & I watched Bahamas, at Yatton station & I seen it last night at Worle station. And we all got pretty soaked, those of us who braved the weather to venture there for 9:45pm.
Loved the HST train unusual and the lynton Barnstaple videos kind regards to you both ❤
Thank you Mike. I shall be uploading the final part of the L & B video this morning.
Great Sounds & Video. !!! Thankyou !!!
Many thanks Nick!
@@ADMIRALSCORNER Your Welcome Admiral.!!!
That was good of you both to get there to see this unusual but pleasing HST stopping at WSR stations, thank you.
We were lucky to get there at the right time Terry!
Hi Mike, I had a great day yesterday riding and filming the HST.
We should have one on the WSR, after all they are now Heritage units !
I shall look forward to seeing your video Mark next. I agree the HST is a real modern day classic.
lovely station, great to see the older buildings still being employed
We are fortunate that the railway was saved from desolation by those early volunteers when the task must have seemed formidable!
Long live Mr. HST.
Definitely Kelly.
Glad to hear that is a diesel you quite like Kelly!

Oh Thank you. That is a question we have all been asking. It would be good eventually to have one available on the WSR for occasional use.

I love that little grass viewing area at Blue Anchor ...
...I can't say I'm a fan of diesel electric locos ... gimme old puff puff any day 😀....
Ha! Ha!
Nice one Mike. Its great that the railway has given them a home. I hope that the set stays with you for a long time.
I am pleased about that too ; See the comment from Paul Francis below.

The train I videoed at Blue anchor was at14-46 so I recon you were on board this one. I am glad it was dry for most of the afternoon anyway!
Two power units and 4 coaches makes it a HST=Half Size Train
That's certainly big enough for our WSR!
Wow, what à difference from thé. 0-6-0 Tank of my youth! Amazing
Yes Indeed!
Is this HST traind a temporary thing and where are they running to and from Mike.
We are grateful to Paul Francis above, who answered that question that we have all been wondering about.
