CRAZY Colored Snakehead Caught Fishing NEW RIVER System!

- These fish are BEAUTIFUL!! Brother Max had to move his boat to a different marina (the old marina closed). This means finding New Snakehead spots!! This was he first time he had his boat in the water in 2024. The maiden voyage to find Snakehead was a SUCCESS! We both caught some beautiful fish. We return a few days later after a big cold front and I caught the most beautiful snakehead I've ever seen. This fish was Purple, Blue, Green, and Yellow! I'm guessing the color change was from spawning? Beautiful fish!!

Fish bite better in the rain- they hide under the boat to get out of it!
Fish are known to turn off when the barometer bottoms out and starts to come up. The rain turning on and off says to me that you were originally fishing ahead of a front and it passed by during your fishing trip. Fish feed like crazy until the barometer stops falling and begins recovering for some reason. I don’t know everything but I’ve been running offshore charters since 94 and my toughest days are the days that the weather is recovering from a low pressure moving slightly past my location.
I was to send you a reel to use. You would think I knew how to email you. I’m a Hoover Boys fan that found out you love fishing 🎣.
They had a pic of a kid catching a 13+ lb bass the other day. When I lived in Florida there were tales of really huge bass 17-18lb+ being caught at some reserve near Pensacola.

Yeah I still haven’t gotten one in the fly… it’s a bit tricky running a trolling motor and casting but I’ll make it happen at some point!

Want a Challenge ? Find a Fly Rod in #6 or #8 'weight'. The weight designation
determines rod flex, stiffness, etc. These weights for Bass & Salmon. Popping Bugs,
streamers (imitate a minnow), frogs and even mice............ jus sayin'

It was slow. Lot of smalls. Ended up with 20 keepers in 2 hrs. They were delicious!
