I think those of us that have been quilting since the 1980's suffer from PTSD due to the Quilt Police and quilt judges! Lol. It's hard for me to not have my seams match. I really enjoyed the show! Please do more of these.
I absolutely love the way she sews. No perfection or worrying about how exactly things fit. She’s so so right that the final product is perfect with all its imperfections- I always say a mistake in any of my creations is my signature.
Very interesting! I would have loved to see a closer look at the living room quilt on the wall and the little pieces in the basket on her cutting table! What a sweet lady!!
Originally from Mumbai I can relate to your stories. Loved your presentation. Like you matching corners and squares is stressful. I like free form and mainly art quilts.
Rob this is an amazing video, it has inspired me to my next quilt. I will be using a 10" squares, I didn't know what to do with them. LOL I just fell in love with them when I got them.
This is how quilting was in the beginning, use what you have. Such a lovely lady, her head is set on right, seeing all she wants and feeling all she likes. How fortunate to be able to live like that!
What a beautiful lady and artist. I really enjoyed watching the video, thank you. I don’t quilt with patterns and I do my own designs as I sew and depending on the fabrics and who it is for. I really feel it’s relaxing with earbuds also:)
Love this video! Sujata is such an amazing woman! I took her Kawandi Class through our Guild.

what an inspiration to do more free form piecing versus percision....love the simplicity of cutting and piecing but stunning results!
