thats a great question. so the higher the image quality DOES mean that you can sit closer to your TV without straining your eyes. but you can also increase your viewing distance as well. so higher resolution TVs benefit viewing from both spectrums.
Guys, i can't sleep anymore, i want to buy oled 4k and i am over and over thinking about this distance and the size of tv, i want it for my bedroom, between tv and my eyes would be around 9 - 11 feet, with middle of 10 feet average, could you give me any advice about this please ? What size of tv do think would be good for this distance, i also wish to use for playing on the playstation but watching movies as well, thank you in advance !
My 43 inch television is like 7 feet away. It's perfect. I must the only one who hates a huge television in their living room. People seem to forget when a huge television is off in a small room its just a huge black square.

65 inch. You could go 55 inch, but 75 inch would be too big for a bedroom, imo. 65 inch is perfect for 9-11 feet distance
