Frozen was basically based off of Lion King and Lion King is basically a rip off of Hamlet.

xXSilver146Xx OK, it never really needed to be explained since it was so obvious, but here goes. Magic exists in the frozen universe, magical beings are seen, witches are purported to exist. it basically means frozen is a fairly low magic world where humans don't really get exposed to it on a regular basis, some might never see it. Barring some kind of ancestry, say she had a magical great great grandparent or something, the answer is then obvious. She is a freak, as in she is just an anomaly like someone born with a tail or 6 fingers, which is why the x men thing is so apt. X-men's mutants are a more commonplace version of her, since the x men universe itself has been shown to have magic powers through juggernaut and all abilities likely stem from magical reasons or draw on magic to function. This is like a medieval mutant story with only 1 actual mutant.
Long story short, Elsa is just an extremely powerful mutant, like magneto level or more. In her world its rare but clearly happens. Narrow sighted people probably kill most though.
Holy fuck I was kidding.
Not to mention Frozen was also very rushed. It would have been much better as a 4 hour movie, so we actually know what's going on instead of jumping from one scene to the other.

Actually Anna’s memory of Elsa’s powers were removed so instead of Anna remembering Elsa conjuring Olaf in the castle she remembered making a snowman in the snow outside so Elsa seemed “normal.”

The "song" in the beginning of the movie does actually make sense. It is inspired by a native norwegian "joik"
yeah but it's never used in the movie ever again until the ending of Frozen. so NO it doesn't make sense. In the Lion King, they used African instruments and got an entire choir to sing in Swahili, a language in Africa. So the music and songs all fit with the setting of the Lion King, using African instruments and Swahili vocals for EVERY song, unlike Frozen. If they really wanted this to be the next gen Lion King, then they should've put more effort in the plot, and the music.

frozen has such a huge problem with it's story.
*1*: Elsa didn't hurt Anna because she couldn't control her power, Anna was being careless.
*2*: Elsa is told that fear would be her enemy, while at the same time blaming her for hurting Anna, thus making her scared.

4: And the whole issue of the film would neber happen if this was a real life situation. Because NEWS: people talk to each other and ask simple questions. Plus Anna was like what? 16? 18? Elza didn't tell her 16 or so year old sister about her powers and kept them hidden because... reasons!
5: Where did her powers come from anyway? They couldn't do a simple logical backstory for her? Why? I mean that couldn't have taken more than 2 days of thinking it over to come up with SOME story, and 2-3 weeks of work to do the additional work to put it into the film.
I know it's just a film but geez...
