Watching Illinois football for the last 55 years, I cannot come up with a better performance than John Paddock's 2023 end of season run as our high powered QB. So incredibly fun to watch that young man sling the ball. Somebody in the pros needs to give him a shot.
Such a shame Illinois football coaches are so inept at talent evaluation. Paddock clearly was better than Altmyer in every way. Altmyer will sink this Illinois coaching staff in 2024…he is absolutely terrible.
If he gets a real opportunity, I think he will actually make the team if they want to get rid of Taylor Heinicke, or at least the practice squad if he gets a real shot.

I think he sticks on practice squad . Learn playbook and next year is the Qb3 and when Penix takes over Qb2.
