Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2 with Dansk ”Race” Muffler

Sound comparison of a Carrera 3.2 with a stock Euro pre-muffler and stock rear muffler versus the same car after a Dansk pre-muffler bypass (aka cat bypass for those with a catalyst) and Dansk ”Race” 1-in-1-out muffler were installed.

I went with a Fabspeed and Cat delete. Very good sound.

What setup are you running currently? And do you have any chance of attending a meetup or meet 1-to-1 with other SC or 3.2 owners to hear their (different or refreshed stock) exhaust setups? Always better to hear in person to get perspective if you want to go same, louder/more agressive or quieter / stay stock…

Great comparison video. Was that the 70mm or 84mm Dansk pipe? I’m looking to improve the sound of my stock Carrera 3.2.

Thanks! It was the 70mm variety. But since the fit / angle of the exit did not look great (which may just be visible early in the video) I actually had the shop fabricate a custom exit pipe with a slightly thicker slip-on finisher.

Näyttääpä siltä että tuon race-version tuotanto ehkä lopetettu koska en enää itsekään löydä sitä Danskin sivuilta tai mistään verkkokaupasta. Ennen oli siis vaihtoehtoina Standard, Sport ja Race - nyt ilmeisesti vain Standard ja Sport. Liekö sitten liian äänekäs tuo Race…

Acarsfault Now that I have had this on for a while I think the sound has opened up even more. Especially at the top end. This setup really screams at wide open throttle after 4500rpm. I can imagine some considering it too loud in that scenario. I am actually personally also considering swapping the ”race” silencer to a ”sport”. That, together with the bypass is probably the perfect combo at least on a reasonable budget. If you want yours loud, then the ”race” silencer is for you 😉
