That Pantene commercial is iconic...”don’t hate me bc I’m beautiful”😂 My fave tho is Andie McDowell “You know what’s real tacky? When your makeup looks like someone baked a cake on your face and you feel like a jerk” 😂 Oddly i remember these commercials yet can’t remember last Tuesday...well played Madison Avenue 👍🏻😂

There was joy in every level of society. Reflected in the commercials, the sitcom theme songs, everything about daily mundane living was tinged with joy, happiness, contentment, optimism. Now everything is filled with misery, anger, satanism, hatred, pharmaceutical half hour long ads. Or if you find an ad that uses music, they pull out a throwback song from the 80s. Now...next point coming...

    • @csf7773

There was a Chinese Emperor, I don't know what dynasty but it was ancient, that would monitor the wellbeing of his many provinces BY THE WAY THAT THE MUSIC THEY PRODUCED SOUNDED. If his emissaries went to a region and the music was melodic, harmonious, rich, peaceful, or joyous, the emperor knew the people were doing well overall. If the music was cacophonous, dissonant, melancholy, angry, and just no beauty in it, the emperor put his focus on finding out what was wrong in that region, and then sending his people and resources to fix it. Pretty interesting

I was the sportscaster at the station and he would always have some tidbit of advice for me when he came to town. The best piece of advice was “only call the touchdowns”.
Essentially, we never know before the play whether it would be a big play or not. So treat every play as if it’s going to be the big play and you’ll always be ready when it happens. It just good life advice.
