2022 Tesla Model Y 7 Seater First Impressions ,Features and Highlight

- After owning a Tesla Model 3 for a few years; and having just picked up my Model Y, I finally made my first Tesla video. I picked up my #Tesla Model Y 7 Seater 2022 edition just a couple of weeks ago. Because it was so early in the year, this did not include any of the refreshed updates that we've been hearing about.
This is not a full review, just my first impression, comparisons with my previous Model 3, and some feature highlights.

In the 7 seater you can actually slide the 2nd row forward to also get more storage space in the back if you need it, which you cannot do in the 5 seater. Obviously not huge, but it could be handy if needed.
I ordered this exact configuration !!! My delivery date is June 😢
I end up ordering a 5seater Y. Here is why, the 3rd row for friends' kids only. Even they would bump their skulls hard on the rear glass if rear ended hard. No air bags there. I also have much less influence of who might rear end me. So even with the diminished risk of such accident, I would rather they find another ride somehow.
I definitely considered that, and kept flip flopping between my decision, and ultimately decided to go with the 7 seater as a ‘just in case’ situation. Good to know your experiences. 👍🏼
We have a 7 seater on order, the back row will come in handy for our two small dogs while my son has the whole second row to himself for longer road trips; also think it’ll be a great “good to have” for the occasional shuttling of him and his friends after school or hanging out on the weekends. 👍
Waiting on our 7 seater since placing our order in September. We have 2 kids so nice to have the third row option when parents are in town.
Went with white on white with a tow hitch. Also went with Gemini wheels,it’s free. I can get after market rims and keep the Germini as a winter rim here in Vancouver Canada (yes, we do get snow)
Our order been delayed many times. Hoping April eta is correct this time
Im waiting until they deliever the new Model Y’s with the new battery structure from the Giga berlin to Sweden so i can order it.
Thanks for this nice video! Could you share some data about the real world range on a road trip and hoghway driving, have you tested it?
As of now, not yet as I just got it, and no road trips yet especially since it’s winter.

you get to seat 7 people instead of 5.....duh

Third row is a joke. I'm getting one but I doubt I'm making the right choice.
The seven seat config makes no sense… the model y is only rated for 390 kg / 860 lbs, so each person must be a dwarf for the seven seats to be usable
Ours is rated for 525 kg according to the sticker.
It makes sense for some who want to drive extra kids. What do you think they're for? NBA players? 😂😂
I don't think the seats are leather
You’re right,it’s technically not leather. Their “Vegan leather” version is synthetic, but feels like the real thing.
