I was engaged to a narcissist for years and lost my kids, She emptied out my bank account, and I spent years trying to please Her just to spend time with my daughter. My daughter literally believes I abandoned her because of this. I don't think I'll ever be able to repair the relationship. I've tried. I wish I would have known sooner. God knows I wasn't perfect but I tried. I even worked Her job and mine when she got sick after the baby so she wouldn't lose her job. I came home when day and she was cheating on me and said it was cause I was never home.
Sounds exactly like my experience. Unfortunately, they’ll never change and you will never be able to repair the relationship. The only thing you can do is accept this, walk away, move on and make them pay by living the best life you possibly can without them (i.e. be successful, take advantage of the freedom to do all the things you always wanted to do, find a better woman, etc). I know it’s so incredibly hard when kids are involved but all you can do is try and keep some access and then as they get older expose the mother for what she really is by showing her how everything she fed the child was lies. Mine put me off wanting to ever go near another woman and wanting to marry and have kids again but 9 years later and I’ve recently married a wonderful woman who treats me properly. You can have that too.

This “lack of empathy” thing is my NUMBER ONE concern during these modern times. But, I am noticing that a person can show complete lack of empathy towards one person but be totally empathetic towards another person (selective empathy).

I wanna talk to other people Can we be FB friends Admitting to going on a date while with you but saying nothing happened. Mixed messages. She had a best friend going to bars . And playing tennis early in the morning How she misses her x boyfriend Asking to use the phone but having her x text message on display while they snatch it away with a grin and go across the street to talk . Stuff like that 😢

'You're too sensitive', 'That was just a joke' (it wasn't until I called her on it), walks 30' in front of me everywhere in public, talks to strangers on the street nicer than she does to me,, humiliates me in front of friends, complains about food choices, backseat drives on every single trip, never an apology, controlling and micromanaging my life, gaslighting, outright lies and false accusations to force me to take up a defense of things that never happened. My serenity is glorious now that I went no contact.
8:30 My father is a dark tetrad type. He fake charms people in public, and in private he behaves like Vigo the Carpathian. Once he cools off after doing something really outrageous (breaking or stealing things in a tantrum) he’ll send a book (self-help pointing out what you did wrong) and/or a letter stating “I hope you’ll forgive me for what happened”, which history has proven translates to “You have to let me do this to you.”
A narcissistic cousin I have unilaterally decided to cut down the inheritance I was due along with other cousins for her own benefit. When busted, she acknowledged doing it by text, which I didn't respond to since it's my evidence now, but she didn't apologize. This is just one of several things she had done that were inappropriate over the years. Her theft, however, is when I decided to ghost her. Now, I am trying to acquire a copy of the will of my grandmother as further evidence of the inheritance hijacking.
@@RebeccaZungEsq we broke up at the end of November 2021 but have 3 kids together (one is autistic). This means co-parenting with a narcissist. It was hard at first but now after following Dr Ramani's advise and I follow a channel called @mentalhealness. He is a diagnosed covert narcissist but goes to therapy and gives insite to a narcissists mind. He wants to get other narcissists into therapy and help survivors of narcissistic people. He has helped me be able to deal with her while not giving away my power and remaining neutral. This benifits the kids a lot and helped me heal from her mental abuse. I was with her for 15 years so the neglect and put downs etc run deep. I now have to work on fixing my own self gaslighting that I now realise is her voice in my head. I'm slowly getting better.😁
There was a huge moment for me that lead to our separation. He raised a fist to my dying dog when he urinated accidentally. It was this huge psychological menace to me. I BEGGED for an apology. It affected me to my core. Never apologized
March of 2023 I was Almost Driven to Take My Own Life because I was Accused and Belittled by My Narc Wife (escaping soon) of Not Caring About Her Because I couldn't Go to Her Cancer Doctor's Visits (she's in remission) I dropped Off and Picked Her Up I got PTSD from Navy Injury (Not asking for pity) I did attend some visits and stayed for her Surgery. Yet I was Accused of Not Caring All in front of Company. I felt so ashamed I wanted to Take My Life but PTSD Golden Retriever (Myla Stringer) Saved My Life...I now am trying to escape....I am Sharing Because it helps me thru my Pain.....
Well, Rebecca, my brother said the narcissist relative owes us all a big fat apology. Then she’d have to admit she was wrong Here this relative is, nearly 71, and none of us want anything to do with her.
Why narcissists can't apologize: because they aren't sorry. I didn't watch this one, but I have never tried to get anyone to apologize to me, much less, the narcissist. I've never needed an apology. I only understand action.
I wouldn't care, from what I've seen they would just be lying. They cannot be allowed to use their words, they need to change their behaviour and show through action that they can respect someone and not perpetuate their destructive behaviour. Or something along those lines, I would not believe any apologise from such malignant persons :(

She was at a wedding she swore to god she would be there for online date. I had been trusting loving partner as she fully acknowledges. She didn't even show up she blamed traffic. She apologised for not meeting my needs then demanded more money for designer clothes. I was starving and asked for 100 dollars for essential medicines but relieved not a single penny. She realised how hard it is to find an apartment and the lengths I went to to get appartment. I nearly died trying to get appartmentv for us because what I feel gmfir her is genuine. She apologies for not meeting my needs as a man and appreciated the fact that I had been honest with her. I still have not been able to contact step son despite psyinfmg a lot of money for his birthday he wants a phone for his birthday so he can contact me directly. I am worried for him as I have been begging her not to be "hard " on him
A guy I was involved with strung me along, lied to me, cheated with several different women, then said "why are you taking it personal?" Then he said to me "I'll apologize to you once and that's IT." He said it in THE most hateful tone ever. It was a real eye opener regarding the level of as*hole-ism? some people possess.....or maybe its the as*shole that actually possesses their kind! 😂
There are a lot of misconceptions about narcs. Some facts 1 - they dont have an ego at all. At their core, there is nothing, just a black void. They essentially didnt form an ego when others form an identity (12-24 months). 2 they dont have love, empathy or compassion. These are absent. So, looking for anything human in them is pointless. 3 - they dont see you as a person, but they interact (mentally) with an internal object representation of you. They cannot relate to the external world the way the rest of us do. It's closely related to schizophrenia. Lastly, they know the impact of their actions, if they didn't they wouldn't be able to gauge narc supply. Rebecca is well, meaning im sure, but she isn't a psychologist. Check out Prof Sam Vaknin if you want the technicals.

She organised a move to canada without telling me it was the best for both of us but dhe didn't tell me anything about it at all.
They do mot apologise for anything , if they ever do its fake to maintain a situation
