- The Powertec Multipress and Levergym Lift-Off Hack has immediately increased the weight and reps I can lift on each machine and the hack has made each exercise more joint friendly.
I’ve seen various iterations of this hack over the years, but here is mine.
Most of the equipment, attachments, and accessories I use can be found following the link in my RUclips bio / about page. I am an affiliate for Powertec, GymPin, and I have an Amazon affiliate store. Please consider using one of my affiliate links. Any time a purchase is made through my affiliate links, I could receive a small commission at no extra cost to you. When you make a purchase using the link, you help support this channel, but more importantly, it shows the company I am helpful to their brand. Thank you!

Powertec should learn from this!
It would be cool if they could do something to address this, but this is pretty common with plate loaded pressing machines…Hammer Strength for example.
Very clever! If I end up doing this I'll you thicker blocks so it's closer to the actual height of a bench press lift off. Thanks for sharing. 😎👍
Thank you. I tried yoga blocks at first but they cause the lever arms to be way too high, so you would only need something about an inch thicker to make a drastic difference.
Thank you for this hack! Appreciation from Australia 🤙🏻
Thank you for checking out the video.
Great tip 👍👍!
@@timtaifig6873 thank you!
You are a innovative lad, I love your videos mate
@@rajeevgaur5832 thank you.
Thanks for the hack!
Thanks so much!
Nice little hack there mate. Personally I don't usually do low reps on the lever exercises so starting from the bottom doesn't bother my shoulders much. However, it does seem like a useful hack that many people may benefit from.
On a side note, I recently started shoulder pressing for a cycle on the powertec lever arms. I am not sure if it is just me? But I always have found nothing quite pumps up the lateral head of the triceps in the same excellent way as the powertec lever arm seated press does. I mean it is a shoulder exercise but is truly superb for also hitting the triceps.
Earlier today I was trying the exercise out of both the (MP part of the) MS, and the LG. The jury is out as to which one is best for seated shoulder presses. Do you prefer seated presses on the Levergym or the Multi press? Just out of interest.
Thanks so much and good to hear you’re having success with the LG OHP.
That’s a tough call. They are pretty close but I have to give the win to the MP for the OHP.
Great as always, thanks!
Thank you.
Brilliant..good job HGHR!
Thank you, BBD!
Love you man, you are a genius🎉
Thanks so much!
Such a smart idea. Going to do this for mine
@@pat5221rick I hope it works well for you. If you have a a chance, please let me know how it goes.
Bro I like that a lot, I've been removing weight after sets to continue my sets this could save me drop setting!!
@@danfromga9696 Thank you! It is such a good hack for the MP; easily in my Top 5 favorite hacks of all time.
Same!
Brilliant
@@eddiebaby22 thanks so much!
Great thinking HGHR!
Appreciate it!
Would this hack also work on the multi-press? It doesn’t seem like the pulldown is part of this hack.
@@davidjfein I’ll be glad to help if you can clarify for me? This is the Multipress and in a more recent video, I showed this hack on the Levergym.
@@HomeGymHacksandReviews sorry I posted my question on the wrong video! I’ll post on the correct one now 😂
great thinking!
Thank you!
You are a smart cookie
🤓
Genius 😊
Thank you!
Clever
@@leonelmartinez2486 thanks so much!
I use yoga blocks to do that in a commercial gym lol
@@javig9346 when I had my Fettle Chest Press I used yoga blocks too. For this machine, the yoga blocks raise the lever arms too high and the safety bar splits the yoga blocks because of its super small surface area.
Genuis
Thanks so much.
great if you dont have a buddy.
Thanks! I lift way too early in the morning to have a training partner 🤓
