It was the unlikely ragtag bunch of people that became a musical phenomenon. Choir of Hard Knocks put homelessness in the national spotlight, but 13 years on from the ABC documentary series where have their voices led them as two new choirmasters take over the mic?
Choir of Hard Knocks was formed for the ABC program of the same name in 2006 in Melbourne, Australia. Choirmaster Jonathon Welch was the founding artistic director, however, in 2019 he retired to take on more duties in his personal life.

Some great voices there. Jimmy Barnes is the best representative of alcoholics.
When I was younger, I never really liked him - because I thought his singing talents were in the form of just shouting and being drunk while singing ... his songs were a bit like an underdog trying to overcome depression with a kind of a fighting spirit representing the voices of the quintessential authentic Aussie Battler _Bogan_ - even before _Bogan_ became a thing! However, listening to him sing here, I can see some talent in his singing now.
