  • This video includes a walkthrough of the entire piece, Whispers of Beauty, for those who would benefit from a step-by-step tutorial for this particular lyre piece. The video is divided into six parts which are designed for you to take at your own pace. They include:
    1 Part 1: Structure of the Whole Song and Tuning in a minor
    2 Part 2: The Left Hand
    3 Part 3: The Right Hand Part A
    4 Part 4: The Right Hand Part B
    5 Part 5: The Right Hand Part C
    6 Conclusion: Final Measures and Playing the Whole Song
    A small note, unfortunately I forgot to hit the record button on the microphone that is separate from the one on the camera, so the sound quality isn't quite as high as I would have liked but you can still hear everything. (:
    I hope this is of help to you and please let me know if additional videos like this would be of assistance. God bless!

    One question - what about measures 1 - 113? Is there some reason why you did not cover them?

    • @enfoldedheartmusic
      @enfoldedheartmusic  Месяц назад +1

      Hi there, thanks for the question about those first measures. Each PDF has two copies of the song: One without the names of notes and the octave, and a second following it with the note names and octave. So section 1-113 is the first copy of the song. I decided to use the second copy for the tutorial since I thought it more likely that someone using the tutorial would also be utilizing the copy with additional notation. The second copy starts at measure 113. Hope this helps clarify! (:

      Hello :) thanks for voicing your request. Yes, I do think I could do a tutorial for the Psalm 127 tune though it likely won't be for at least several weeks. Thanks again and I hope it will be of help to you and others once I'm able to get it together

    How is the harp tuned for this song?

    • @enfoldedheartmusic
      @enfoldedheartmusic  2 дня назад

      @@gabrielamoldovan9103 Its tuned in the key of C major / a minor. If it's helpful, you can take a look at the first section where I have done a little walk through of this. Hope this helps and you enjoy the song !

    What kind of lyre is it? (The ones I’ve been looking at on Amazon aren’t open enough to play with both hands)

    • @enfoldedheartmusic
      @enfoldedheartmusic  5 месяцев назад +1

      The lyre that I have is made by Ashthorpe but unfortunately they aren't making them at this time / anymore. I talk a bit about this question in another video " Tips and Suggestions for Playing the Lyre " starting at about 5:50, in case that extra information is helpful for you. You'll see there also a link to the Ashthorpe website and the Amazon page so you can take a closer look at the instrument.
      It's the only lyre I've played so unfortunately I can't speak to how it compares to others even in regards to its openness. Looking at Amazon, it looks like the Aklot, Donner, or Miwayer would have the same level of openness. Again, I haven't actually seen these in person so unfortunately it's only an educated guess.
      Hope that helps at least a bit and let me know if I can be of any further help!
