Dragon was originally all Colorless-Type, until the BW Set Dragons Exalted, and then were absent from SwSh Sets until Evolving Skies. There is also no Basic Dragon-Energy, only Special Energy Cards. They instead usually use two different types of Energy, with one of them applying to their Secondary Type if they have one in the games. They were originally weak to Dragon itself, while being weak to Fairy later on. In the modern day, Dragons mostly have no Weakness or Resistance in the TCG, if ever. (There might be a unique few Pokémon that do, but I don't look at every card printed, I just know they used to be weak to Dragon in BW, then Fairy from XY-SM.) I think including them in Colorless is fair as they used to be in that Type and still sometimes are treated as Colorless at times, if being present at all. To add to the physic/fairy/ghost girlies, I like to think we are naturally introverted and want to stay in our lane. We don't just let anyone in, but we seem to attract people anyway, and when we finally open up, we're ride or die. Or at least that's how I feel as a physic type 😂
As a Ghost-type peep, I feel this. The umbrella has _vibes_ as I feel like the three typings deal with subjectiveness and abstraction. That, coupled with the introversion and the "cerebral" aspect phaun mentions makes us more open to receive, listen and understand _differences_, perhaps to the cost of not being understood ourselves, and thus we attract people. To me, Fairy and Psychic might be a tad bit more present, more evident - like, everybody knows you're there and we see you. Ghosts, on the other hand, can be under the spotlight and give what needs to be given, but at the same time we're still somehow in the background of everything - like a _poltergeist_, we happen at the same time we don't. Once you get us, we're a new brainworm, a spell and a curse on you, but we could be lost easily and it'll be hard to figure out why immediately. I see fighting type as having tons of drive and discipline, but in a more firey way than rock. Fighting type gets it DONE. Nurses and firefighters of the world. That’s their flavor of the distinct Taurus energy of the fighting/rock/ground group.
I like to think of myself as a Colorless/Normal sort of girl. The way I think of it, we can sometimes be mysterious but not in a “mysterious” way, if that makes sense? It’s more like, other people often realize there’s something they’re missing about us but can’t get a grasp of what it is. I also have kind of this inner desire for simplicity which does match your analysis of being largely unaffiliated. I love playing the TCG and Pocket is such an interesting take on it! I need to find more people who play it lol
Ice type highest stat being attack speaks to the fact that when they're NOT about you You FEEL how cold they are to you. It's like a barrier. They're not messing with you.
Regarding the fighting type, I think that these people tend to be headstrong, resilient, and fiercely independent. Think "I don't need no man", think "I'm the one". People who resonate with the fighting type take on challenges and situations that most others would shy away from, Knowing that they have what it takes to get through any storm. They will not take care of you if you come along with them, but they will likely do most of what needs to be done. You always want a fighting trainer in your corner because they're going to handle their own.

On the fighting type, I'm not a fighting type girly myself (personally i am very ghost type leaning and that section was way too accurate lmao) but I have been around in those circles and I can attest it's really all about the high energy as you said, but it's not always physical, and they can also be stubborn. They'll get an idea in their head and keep pushing until it happens, and then onto the next, very goal oriented, and they typically spread the same energy among their friend group.
Something that I learned growing up and playing all the Pokemon games, I have always been a grass type trainer. As I got to grow and explore myself in my adulthood, bug and ghost types have joined in the mix. It definitely explains why my bedroom is a jungle with all of my house plants and why I love decorating my space with crystals! I also really hope that in future games, the rock type Pokemon can have more elegant gem/crystals inspired designs!
You give me something paired with fairy. Fairy/fighting, fairy/water, maybe even fairy/psychic or fairy/normal. Or even a special ability to change your second typing based on your mood. But you would be a stand alone pseudo legendary or mythic imo. Your appearance makes people underestimate you, but, your powers and limits are unbound by time or space. You are so prolific, once people hear about you, they're enamored, charmed, and instantly understand you on a really deep, meaningful level. You're the one we save a master ball for, you're the one who effortlessly wipes an ill formed team. You make those around you greater just by being yourself.
to me i feel like rock types are patient and tend to wait with you even when you’re struggling. if you had to tie your shoe while walking they would be the one person to stand next to you while you did it and not make you feel rushed to keep moving (also as a fairy/poison trainer you nailed it!)
Absolutely love the choice to group them under umbrellas but then describe the specifics of each "subtype" within. I can't decide if it's giving enneagram "wings" (maybe that would be more like dual typing) or sun versus moon/rising signs, but either way, great structural choice. Also, I'd consider myself clocked! I've fluctuated between being a water-ice gay and a psychic-ghost gay, and both those categories seemed pretty on the nose. I've also dabbled in grass, and that category didn't resonate much, but tbh when I think about it I almost never vibe with *pure* grass pokemon. I don't expect a 5 hour video getting into the astrology of every single type combo, but I do think it's fun to think about how poison, dark, ghost, or ground might temper the cottagecore vibes of grass and make it more relatable to me.

Normal/ Dragon type trainer here. I think that while you are correct in the way you approch those types i want to also prepose a different angle to the way I think the personalities of those types can manifest, and that is in the day dreamer type. you touched a little on it with flying, that flighty-ness that they have is very prevalent, but I think that Dragon type is very similar to Fairy in that reverence for the lore. Dragon type is the fantasy type. Dragon type is the kid who grew up day dreaming in class, and drew monsters in their note book. Its ambitious and strong but its fantastical and whimsical too. Its a type that invites people to seek out the legend I guess. To not settle for the mundane, to keep your day dreams alive. As a dragon type trainer myself, ever since I was a kid ive been drawn to dragons because they represented that larger than life fantasy which the mundane world would never offer. Normal contrasting that, is a very cozy type. Its soft and sleepy and cozy. Its the vibe of "I want to stay in bed today and just chill out". Its the type for relaxing, for calmness. it isn't aspected so its not bound by any particular energy and thus no particular vibe. I think between the two the vibe is the idealist. The chill person with big dreams and ideals, who wants to chase them but also knows they have alot of time on their hand and that their journey isnt something that will happen in one day. Their okay with spending time on the little things and getting swept up in the wonderful small moments of day to day life, while still chasing their dreams. I dunno if that's to gushy or maybe im injecting way to much of my own personal ideas into the types but I figured Id share.
I see Fighting Type fans as a mix of Rock and Psychic types. On the surface level you’d expect them to be loud or athletic or boisterous, but in actuality they’re quiet and studious. Combat is a lot more strategic than you’d expect, one wrong move and you could get badly injured. I also see them as stubborn and honorable. They won’t pick a fight, but they sure as hell know how to end one

As a metalheaded steel trainer... Yeah reliable to a fault fits; I love to be helpful. Being there for the people around me and taking on "projects" is my forte. I do tend to fall off the face of the earth when we have to grow and go our separate ways, but never in a bad way. Still always happy to show up and be there for someone who wants me there.

I've recently learned to appreciate the "Psychic" types thanks to this channel. I have a mono-paychic team that is cute and has been slaying in wifi battles. I love getting into battles with people who have legendaries and popular vgc pokemon, only to have them lose to my girlypop psychic team.

hayyyyyyyy :3333 haiiiii :33333 i would consider myself partially a fighting type trainer, a fighting and flying mix. which is very fitting because my favorite pokemon is hawlucha. and i cannot explain it but somehow your professional diagnosis just feels so CORRECT, its like astrology where i feel like if you were just looking at one of them it wouldn't feel quite COMPLETE without the other, like looking at your entire chart or even just your sun/moon/rising trio for astrology. with that comparison i'd say i'm a flying sun, fighting moon, ground rising. (in actuality, my trio is capricorn sun, gemini moon, capricorn rising)

Obvi can’t speak for everyone but as someone who’s just now truly understanding i’m a normal type trainer (I always was but didn’t see it as a ‘viable’ answer as a kid) I think you got us figured out and yes we have definitely always been the cutesy playful slice of life type, I also think we’re animal/pet lovers!

I chose colorless because I can't decide on a type that's my fav. But it makes so much sense now I love a well-executed basic design my favorite Pokemon are Furret and Stoutland. Love a "Boring look" with like one thing unique about it.

im definitely under the Psychic Umbrella. both my favourite types, fairy and ghost, are in there, as well as psychic of which there are a lot of pokemon that i like. creative is definitely me. i have so much creative energy, i will express it regardless of skill level, i've always had a creative itch. a handful of other things from the Psychic Umbrella matched me too! i do also like a lot of water and ice types, and the femininity, listening skills and the therapist energy did resonate! steel umbrella also kinda matched me even if i did not expect it! also i love your fit in this video!

to me i feel like rock types are patient and tend to wait with you even when you’re struggling. if you had to tie your shoe while walking they would be the one person to stand next to you while you did it and not make you feel rushed to keep moving

Absolutely love the choice to group them under umbrellas but then describe the specifics of each "subtype" within. I can't decide if it's giving enneagram "wings" (maybe that would be more like dual typing) or sun versus moon/rising signs, but either way, great structural choice. Also, I'd consider myself clocked! I've fluctuated between being a water-ice gay and a psychic-ghost gay, and both those categories seemed pretty on the nose.
I've also dabbled in grass, and that category didn't resonate much, but tbh when I think about it I almost never vibe with *pure* grass pokemon. I don't expect a 5 hour video getting into the astrology of every single type combo, but I do think it's fun to think about how poison, dark, ghost, or ground might temper the cottagecore vibes of grass and make it more relatable to me.

Normal/ Dragon type trainer here. I think that while you are correct in the way you approch those types i want to also prepose a different angle to the way I think the personalities of those types can manifest, and that is in the day dreamer type. you touched a little on it with flying, that flighty-ness that they have is very prevalent, but I think that Dragon type is very similar to Fairy in that reverence for the lore. Dragon type is the fantasy type. Dragon type is the kid who grew up day dreaming in class, and drew monsters in their note book. Its ambitious and strong but its fantastical and whimsical too. Its a type that invites people to seek out the legend I guess. To not settle for the mundane, to keep your day dreams alive. As a dragon type trainer myself, ever since I was a kid ive been drawn to dragons because they represented that larger than life fantasy which the mundane world would never offer. Normal contrasting that, is a very cozy type. Its soft and sleepy and cozy. Its the vibe of "I want to stay in bed today and just chill out". Its the type for relaxing, for calmness. it isn't aspected so its not bound by any particular energy and thus no particular vibe. I think between the two the vibe is the idealist. The chill person with big dreams and ideals, who wants to chase them but also knows they have alot of time on their hand and that their journey isnt something that will happen in one day. Their okay with spending time on the little things and getting swept up in the wonderful small moments of day to day life, while still chasing their dreams. I dunno if that's to gushy or maybe im injecting way to much of my own personal ideas into the types but I figured Id share.
I see Fighting Type fans as a mix of Rock and Psychic types. On the surface level you’d expect them to be loud or athletic or boisterous, but in actuality they’re quiet and studious. Combat is a lot more strategic than you’d expect, one wrong move and you could get badly injured. I also see them as stubborn and honorable. They won’t pick a fight, but they sure as hell know how to end one
This is academia. The deep diving on connections even to the contests is amazing. You should do this with Genshin/HSR elements I need your wisdom!

As a metalheaded steel trainer... Yeah reliable to a fault fits; I love to be helpful. Being there for the people around me and taking on "projects" is my forte. I do tend to fall off the face of the earth when we have to grow and go our separate ways, but never in a bad way. Still always happy to show up and be there for someone who wants me there.
As a pink pokemon trainer, I love that I can resonate with a lot of bits and pieces with each type but much more leaning to Normal and Fairy. Wigglytuff being my "Pikachu" ever since gen 1

I've recently learned to appreciate the "Psychic" types thanks to this channel. I have a mono-paychic team that is cute and has been slaying in wifi battles. I love getting into battles with people who have legendaries and popular vgc pokemon, only to have them lose to my girlypop psychic team.
the way I've discovered so many people in my circle (even non-gamers) play pokemon tgc or at least collect cards. Your videos are so creative and fun, u always get a smile out of me. (I like psychic and I do tarot readings and love everything spooky)

hayyyyyyyy :3333 haiiiii :33333 i would consider myself partially a fighting type trainer, a fighting and flying mix. which is very fitting because my favorite pokemon is hawlucha. and i cannot explain it but somehow your professional diagnosis just feels so CORRECT, its like astrology where i feel like if you were just looking at one of them it wouldn't feel quite COMPLETE without the other, like looking at your entire chart or even just your sun/moon/rising trio for astrology. with that comparison i'd say i'm a flying sun, fighting moon, ground rising. (in actuality, my trio is capricorn sun, gemini moon, capricorn rising)

Obvi can’t speak for everyone but as someone who’s just now truly understanding i’m a normal type trainer (I always was but didn’t see it as a ‘viable’ answer as a kid) I think you got us figured out and yes we have definitely always been the cutesy playful slice of life type, I also think we’re animal/pet lovers!

For the normal type what I like most is the few weirdoes in it that get thrown in because they don't seem to belong to any type. I also like how it's a very overlooked type that's actually have a lot to offer

I've always said that I'm Psychic trainer akin to the likes of Sabrina or Caitlin- and your analysis was pretty spot on for me, ESPECIALLY when you brought up the crossover into the water type (cuz some of the resonated with me too) and having big creative ideas but struggling to envision them....as an artist that has been my WHOLE dilemma especially when burnout hits
