Saw a video of a girl who wanted to see the Eras Tour before her passing. The comments were absolutely disgusting saying “imagine listening to taylor swift before your death” or “taylors music killed her” and just completely disregarding her as a person just because she liked taylor swift. How low can you possibly go to mock someone’s death just because they’re a swiftie? It’s baffling that people will go that far just to bash on Taylor and her fans.

I used to reply to every single hate comment about her, but then I realized it was pointless. People who hate on her use the lamest kind of excuse to do that. "She only writes about ex boyfriends", "She's just an ordinary white American girl", "She has no stage presence", "She can't dance", "She's blocking other girls on the charts"....Like, these are just some of the excuses people give to hate on her, like she's not deserving of the success she has. People like this don't understand what music is about. Music is about love, freedom, feelings. Taylor is doing that to millions of people. But it doesn't matter to the haters, because they just want to feel part of the "cool kids", just like any school bully out there.

Seeing people easily commenting negatively on social media platforms just because this lady doesn't fit in their life, HER MUSIC doesn't fit in their life is somehow so ridiculous. It is totally okay not to listen to her if her music doesn't suit your taste but rather than enjoying their favourite artists, they throw mean comments everywhere, every time. The beauty of music is, as John Batiste said at the Grammys, "It’s like a song or an album is made and it almost has a radar to find the person when they need it the most."
I enjoy her music, her lyrics, her melody and of course, folklore. And that's it. I just need "august" to be played in the air while the rain is pouring outside my room and a warm hot tea in my hand to end a long-crazy day, and I will feel peaceful enough. I don't need to tell the world that I never liked a single song from Chris Brown by throwing such nasty comments at him, it is just as simple as I do not get his music. And that's it. People should be wise by not throwing hate just because her music doesn't fit their taste.

My favorite singer that has even lived was Chester Bennington from Linkin Park. In 2017 he committed suicide by hanging, and also had a drug and alcohol addiction since he was 15. He also had a diagnosis for clinical depression (non-curable), and not once have I ever seen someone downplay his problems because he was “successful”.
Hybrid Theory is the best selling debut album of all time and best selling album of the 21st century, and Linkin Park played in front of 1 million people in 2005, and no one complains that they are too successful or uses that as a point to downplay their problems.
People have problems, obviously some people will have it worse. Chester had been sexually harassed for 6 years by a “friend” he had, his parents divorced when he was 11, and turned to hard drugs and songwriting to cope. Taylor has been sexually assaulted, had to deal with the whole Kim and Kanye 2016 ordeal, while having the entire planet not believe her and downplay her. Yet every time she talks about her problems it’s always “she’s playing the victim” and “She’s rich and successful, she can’t be upset”.

Thank you for this video. I’m 56 and have loved Taylor since debut, she’s a fantastic role model. I honestly think the people who hate on her are just miserable human beings, like they can’t believe Taylor can be so joyful, beautiful, talented, kind and generous. I honestly feel sorry for them. I really appreciated this video because I’m glad it is not just me out there who is sensing this new wave of overwhelming hate for Taylor. I’m just bothered because of how most of the arguments don’t even make sense, and she will out get hate for doing things every other artist also does. I think it’s not even about Taylor, but it’s clearly about the control some men want to have over women in general, they don’t like how Taylor is empowering girls and women. The strangest thing is she really is just an inspiring artist who happens to have a lot of fans and success, and they act like that alone is a valid reason to hate her. I’ve come to a realization that some people trying to hide their blatant misogyny and jealousy- it has nothing to do with Taylor and her music (by the way, they seem to forget art is subjective).
I also saw the second clip, the TikTok from needletok and I was shocked by the amount of agreements in the comments. It just seems like a really crazy video- bashing her for her song about her own experiences. Like you don’t even have to like Taylor but it’s literally not that serious. Like maybe it is cringe for YOU, but that’s literally your own opinion. Just because she’s a grown woman doesn’t mean she stops feeling everything entirely, she can write about anything she wants. The fact that they call the lyrics childish and a way of her victimizing herself is crazy because last time I checked there were no set rules for music, they treat her lyrics as if she committed actual crimes.

One time I was in a server peacefully and someone started trolling.
He ofc got banned from the game but then he started making alts to troll.
We were all annoyed and angry at that person.
(He made like 10 alts in total)
After his alts were banned he came back but didn’t troll bc he wasn’t in the group.
He talked to a mod and he started trolling again and he said “ trolling is fun”
I said “ I quit” because after they talked the mod left.
After I said that I left the game.
(He was joining the same server to troll)
On his 2nd alt he said he might find a way to exploit and fling us all.

i was watching a video the other day, and it was of her when she accidentally delayed the “like ever” in we are never ever getting back together. a comment said “proof she doesn’t lip sync” and there was a whole war in the comments starting because someone pulled out “proof” that she does lip sync and she is overrated. swifties commented in response saying that she lip syncs sometimes because it is a 3.5 hour show with some of her most vocally challenging songs. but the thing is that the most vocally challenging parts are the parts she in fact DOES NOT lip sync. he put links in his reply of two “identical sounding” clips of don’t blame me at the eras tour. there were responses saying that there have been hundreds of shows and so if you find two identical clips of one song, that’s just not enough proof (which it isn’t). also the fact that that high note hasn’t changed from the note that it was in 2018. 2018!!!! i would hope by now she would know the note. anyway that was a long vent but swiftie haters just make me so mad.

Recently there have been a bunch of men -mostly on the right - who are obsessed with women getting married and having a bunch of kids by 25. That is so crazy. It seems to be a recent trend. 20 years ago if a woman chose to be single for several years and pursue a career first before finding a husband (or not) and having kids that was perfectly fine. No big deal.
Now men are flipping over Taylor who spent her twenties dating (mostly because she kept running into weak and angst ridden boys) she ended up just dating and not finding anyone for long term. That is pretty typical of career women who date in their 20s, most trying figure out the type they want, and don't find a guy until thirties if they decide that is what they want. Some don't. some want to remain single and date. Some want kids without a husband. Whatever works. But, Taylor is trashed for any of the behaviors that is so common in young women today. Many do not want to get married at 20, divorced at 25 and repeat the cycle on and on. They'd rather wait. And they want to build up their careers.
But, in the last several years men have been obsessing on this. And use Taylor as the culprit. How dare she not marry by 22. How dare she not have 5 kids by 30.
How dare she have a career. How dare she become powerful and become a billionaire. How dare she ensnare a footballer. Why is she not at home cooking dinner for her husband, wiping baby butts, renouncing her career and being submissive to her husband. She's setting a bad example.
What is going on?
Why is it that so many men are so focused on this let's go back to the 50s trip? Let's wipe out by law or by pressure all gains made by women over the last 60 years.

It’s funny, I don’t read criticism about Adele’s songs, which are based on her personal life, failed romances, etc. I think these self appointed critics need to follow the old saying “if you can’t say anything nice…don’t say anything at all”. It’s not that they’re not entitled to have an opinion, but they don’t need to express it in the form of personal attacks. Don’t care for her music, fine move on and listen to someone else. Note that these same people totally ignore how kind and generous she is to her musicians, back up singers, dancers, crew, truck drivers, everyone who works for her, the donations she makes to the food banks in every city she performs in, or that just performing in a city boosts the economy while she’s there.
