I plan to purchase this charger when Luna gets restocked in 4-5 weeks. At home I will charge at 1 amp and 80% for daily 2 mile trips. Away from home I will go for 1/2C or 5 amp setting and only going to 90% and maxing out the recharge rate.
Hey, would you happen to know what kinda female adapter i would need for my ride1up 700? I think its a barrel/DC5521 but im not 100% sure. Wouls appreciate your advice Also upon doing more research it seems i might need to get their 3A 'mini' charger cause my battery charger says 2A MAX
I can't seem to find the name of the adapter needed to plug into a rad runner external battery. Nowhere seems to have the name of any ports. Any help would be much appreciated
A bit late with the reply but for anyone looking, it's a barrel plug adaptor and an additional $10 option when you order the charger. This adaptor connects to the charger cable and should fit any Rad Power charging port. I know because I just ordered it.
Does the charger stop trying to charge once it reaches the desired charge percentage you set it to charge to in case you left the battery on the charger for a few days? For instance, if I set it to charge to 80% of capacity and then forgot to disconnect it for a few days would the battery be 80% charged and would both the battery and charger be ok?
@@bobsgarageFL I contacted Luna and they told me it does not stop at 80% or 90% whichever you set it at. It will stop fast charging at that percentage and then go in to trickle charger mode until it reaches 100% so the battery should not be left on the charger once it reaches the desired percentage if you want it to stop charging completely.
@@robh063 I've watched my charger for a week. I have it set for 90% and it stayed on 90% the whole week. The readout shows the volts and amps and you can see zero amps. It was holding the 90%. if it dipped to 89% I'm sure it kicked in to maintain the 90%. all I can say it never went to 100% being left on for a week.
@@bobsgarageFL All I know Bob is what "Tony" from Luna Customer Support wrote me in his reply email. I don't have a charger to check things one way or the other.

The BMS is inside of the Himiway battery casing ✌👋👋
yes you are correct!
FYI Don't plug the charger in to the wall until the connection the battery is made. When finished charging disconnect from wall before battery.
I think you have this backwards

You should slow charge it up to 54.6
How long does it take to charge

Other than getting hot, anything wrong with Himiway charger?
It only charges to 100% which can shorten the battery life considerably,
