I personally loved those black lanterns, i think once you've painted the legs of the of the dining room chairs black too then you could have some nice black accents picking up throughout the space :) but both lights are gorgeous!! x
The black lights look great. For the family room the tv looks great in the middle. Consider getting a sectional couch and two accent chairs.
I love the first black lanterns they create enough of a feature without taking over the style of the kitchen! The white company option are equally lovely but will blend in and I think are a ‘safe’ option! Loving all the content you’re making ✨ best wishes from West Sussex 💜
I like the White Company lights the best of the ones you showed- the simple glass. You could definitely do a gray sofa like your kitchen cabinets to reduce stains showing, and get a washable slipcovered sofa. You should think about a sectional sofa because you have such a large space ❤️
I agree, simple is usually best! I didn’t really want to go for grey sofas as I don’t want the whole room to start looking too grey! But thanks for suggestion 😘
Me too! Oh i think a beige sofa would look amazing and goes well with the rest of the aesthetic! Also not sure about the beige for the bedroom, its more peachy than beige really!
The plates on the shelves is just so aesthetically pleasing. And take your time with decorating your house. Its beautiful. A nice mirror on the wall will be gorgeous!

In my new home which is modern farmhouse, I went with the wrought iron glassless lights which are identical to the first one you showed. I love it bc it is modern and I don’t have to clean any glass. Just a light swiffering to the frame.
I love both lights, they could both work. That being said, the black ones would be my pick I think. That pop of black accent would go well with the chairs and the oven.

I think white China would look lovely on the shelves mixed with some greenery and glassware, and it will free up your cupboards to store other things. You can never have too much storage.
Love the white company lights. If you hairspray your pampas grass it will help stop most of the shedding mess x

Definitely the black lights they pick up the black in your chairs also a large black vase on the shelves a couple of family pics or artwork and a touch of greenery perhaps a trailing plant x

I love the black lights with the black legs of the chairs/stools, the black accents will definitely make it less ‘grey’ I think a corner sofa in cream would be lovely, and the TV in the middle of the wall is a must! 🤍
I have a similar shelf in the kitchen and I’ve put more ornamental thing at the top and then some ‘posh’😂 jams, fruit teas, curds, herbs, vintage biscuit tin. I’ve seen some nice lights in next x

I think a black light fixture would look good and bring some contrast. A sectional couch and leave tv in middle but I would raise it a little and put a console table underneath. I also feel you should spend more on a couch and not buy from ikea. Try way fair for the lights. I would also paint that wood door frame in the kitchen to bring in the black lights and contrast.

You could still have a cream sofa if you choose some matching throws that protect against daily life. The shelves in the kitchen, I would choose large chunky china, less to clean and add a plant for some greenery . Love the lantern light shades. Your vlogs are delightful.

On your shelves stack some lovely cookbooks. Then in center have a cookbook open on a stand. That will give you some color. Do a black sofa and black lights to tie your living room and kitchen together. You can add white roses or orchards in vases for lovely tie in again. Also a black sofa will let you use any color pillows so a cheap change up when board. Black grounds a room and will give your eye a focal point.
I would opt for the white company lights (row of 3) :)

Personally,I really dislike a flat screen tv being the central point of a living room and it’s just a black square on a wall! I think it would be much better on one of the side walls. You could buy a beautiful mirror and some favourite art pieces for the largest wall.The last kitchen lights that you showed which were glass but with some black features were really nice. You could also look at ‘Pooky Lights’ website- they have some gorgeous ones.As for your new kitchen shelves,perhaps you could begin a collection of unusual and handcrafted porcelain or china vases and jugs which you could add to gradually. Also a great idea for gifts to give you on special occasions. Whatever,I’m sure it will look lovely 💗
Haha I do agree, that was Lews suggestion so we could have it on while cooking etc but we very rarely have the tv on during the day anyway! I will have a look on that website, thank you and that sounds like a wonderful idea for the shelves ❤️

I think you should put the Tv on the Wall next to the door entry and get a U shaped couch facing that wall. Behind the sofa, you should put a thin console table and chairs facing the garden. Where the Tv is currently, perhaps several frames with family photos in black and white.

I grow the first bunch of dried flowers you showed in my garden, they’re called Honesty (lunaria). You should grow them in your garden, they come in pink and white and after they’ve flowered look beautiful in the winter frost too!
I would put a small sofa on door wall then a large comfy one opposite where tv is then like you say, a console table in the corner. I would keep tv where it is as a focal point xx
I love both lights but I think the first ones are too industrial for your shaker kitchen style which is more classic. I would go for the white company ones.
for the shelves could you get some grass baskets to break it up and have some white / wood / basket and maybe some glass jars xo

On a website called Sueno they have chesterfield headboards which are customisable, there is a colour called white AC linen which I ordered and it is more of a white toned cream than peach (the online colour swatch looks more grey but it isn't). The material is the same texture and they have free samples! Also the white company lights would be lovely x

The pictures you’ve shown with the plates on the shelves look great! I think much rather have them then by decorative pieces that don’t really have any use to fill the shelves

Love the flowers!!! The jars (kitchen)seem too tall for the second (top)shelf. What if they r on the (first) bottom shelf? With the spice jars maybe?
I have a collect of tea pots from around the world so maybe a theme on the shelf. In the pintrest/magazine picture it's glass pitchers making it work.
Lights kitchen: I wonder if u chose black accent would it be too matchy to then have black objects on the shelves?
The second light picture ( White Co.) looked like it would make the kitchen area spacious.

I like lantern style with black.If you like white sofas get a white leather.My in laws that is all they buy.Microfiber also works easy to clean. We got ours sprayed.

I went to Ikea late last Saturday around 7:30pm no queue to get in, i just wouldn't go in the day time as always very busy xx
I’d probably do a console table (kind of Neptune style) to the left of the door, then a corner sofa facing the doors and coffee table and maybe an armchair so you have more flexibility of the space when the doors are open
I liked both sets of lights for the kitchen but think the clear White Co. ones will give you more options for changing things when you want to. As for the shelf I would style it up with beautiful bowls, vases etc. Try not to put things on it you use all the time or as you found out, people use them and you end up with an empty shelf. The jars you had were nice, but too small. The first inspiration picture you showed was nice. 😊. Lovely easy day vlog, thank you x

I think the second lights would Work better, it won’t draw focus from the styled shelves (when they are styled :)). Keep the nicer plates and vases on the shelves, and the day-to-day plates and glasses stuffed away.
