Actual fireworks display run by folk with the bits of paper or some bloke from the cricket club who bought a load of rockets at the local diy place? Hoping the latter given the lack of high vis, taped off area or the way the projectiles weren't being aimed away from the crowd "just in case" but given the decline in standards under the tories this being a company effort isn't a huge stretch
It was a professional display team, we were there, we stood on the club house patio, well away from the area, and it was roped off. This event has been running for many years and the money goes to charity, so not amateur hour or anything, clearly something went wrong. I didn't like it that it restarted, we were back at the car by that point and saw them go off again. It had been a good night up to that point, a bit of a carnival atmosphere, small rides for the kids, burger can, people selling glow sticks, bubbles, etc. I hope there's an investigation so it can go ahead next year. That said, I am still a bit shaken, and a lot of people left after that.

Why are so many saying it's not bad? Multiple people were injured, presumably burns and there was an audibly distressed child. Just how bad does it have to be???
all of those people chose to be there knowing the risk of a display of explosives. it's a tradition. if you aren't prepared for any risk you shouldn't go. it's on whoever goes and no one else.
1, if ya gonna bitch about a child getting hurt by a stray/malfunctioned firework then don't take ya kids in the first place, shit happens mate! It's not the end of the world, is it? 2, is like the first one. if someone is going to a display, then they should already be prepared for a malfunctioning firework.
