Since I Laid My Burden Down:
A song with varying titles. It was probably written by a community rather than a singular songwriter. But we have no information on it's precise origin. It dates back to the spiritual songs of slavery and was probably used primarily as a song of mourning... a hymn that could be sung at funerals.

It was his version of 'Glory Glory' that set me on this journey of mine, singing and writing songs in the Roots Gospel genre.
This Maverick Saints version of the song is one that keeps evolving. There are many lyrical themes that work in this song and I tend to shape it based on the audience before me.

A theist is a person who believes in at least one god or deity. Theism stands in contrast with atheism (the denial of the existence of any god) and agnosticism (the belief that the existence of God or gods is uncertain). Theism can include any of the following:

Pantheism / Panentheism: Believe god is all and all is god.
Autotheism: An autotheist is anyone who makes the claim that he or she IS God or an “enlightened one”; although no human has ever created anything without using the preexisting elements of God; not even a grain of sand, let alone a whale or a human eye.
According to the preserved Scriptures, there is one God who created the heavens and the earth (See: KJV, NKJV, or The Aramaic in Plain English Holy Bible): Genesis 1:1. In fact, Psalm 14:1 teaches, “The fool says in his heart, ‘There is no God.’” Further, the Old Testament teaches monotheism: “Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one” (Deuteronomy 6:4). Deuteronomy 4:39 adds, “The Lord is God in heaven above and on the earth beneath; there is no other.”
According to the New Testament, God exists as one Triune God comprising God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19-“in the name”, singular). All three Persons of the Triune God are also mentioned at Jesus’ baptism, when the voice of God the Father speaks from the sky to Jesus and the Spirit descends like a dove (Matthew 3:16-17).
A Christian is a monotheist who accepts the view of a Triune God and believes in Jesus Christ as the risen Lord (Romans 10:9). Further, as there were many thousands of eyewitnesses to the miracles, teachings, death, resurrection and ascension of Jesus Christ, they have believed for roughly two thousand years, that Jesus Christ is the true living God, and the only way to everlasting, spiritual salvation.
A person can observe a building and know there was a builder, a painting and know there was a painter, and as the Scriptures describe, ‘All creation testifies to its Creator.’
Further, the assumption that humans evolved from apes, (basic Darwinism) has long-since been debunked by scientists, historians, and scholars of every kind. (Ref: See Dr. James Tour of Rice university- and don’t use Google).
I hope this helps you. Personally, after researching spiritualities and religions for decades, I now have no doubt that Jesus Christ is God. (And, He is amazing.)
In closing, in the future, if you are told that many people were taken from the planet by UFOs because they weren’t “enlightened enough” to help ascend humanity and/or earth into a higher dimension, don’t believe it. That is the lie the global elites are setting up. The truth is, we will have been taken to God’s Kingdom by Jesus in what is known as, “the rapture.” (Ref: Carol Rosin & Werner von Braun, and the Holy Bible.)

When I was a baby and toddler, all my babysitters (except my sisters) looked and SOUNDED very similar to this lady. I was born in the early 50's. Very poor.The 7th of 8 children. Lived out in the country.. I heard this song I think by Mr Jimmy Swaggart , but now this Lady has a voice and knows how to sing although different than the original song I use to hear .

Thanks Hamilton. Drop D tuning. Basic D and G chords with little fills here and there. It's a style I have been messing with for years and I'm not thinking too much of shapes... just putting my fingers down here and there to find an accompaniment.
