i am the girl in the white head covering! "has a lot of makup" most importantly i said we are all at different levels an iv been only wearing one for about 3 or 4 years. im still learning as u ladies are as well. i have come was from wher i was and i think its sad to see sisters in YHVH put us down for trying to come back to torah. my advice to ladies wanting to wher a head covering an be more modest is TAKE STEPS... start with your choice in clothes and makupfree will be another step! Shalom!
This is such a wonderful video! After resisting the Lord's subtle prompting to cover for years, I began covering in 2007. And what these ladies have all said is true, one cannot understand the benefits until you start covering yourself. The covering doesn't degrade or humiliate, it elevates. Someone once asked one of my daughters why I wear "a funny cloth" on my head. She responded that I wear it to remind myself that I am loved, cherished and protected by God. Exactly!
It's harder to wear a headcovering than walking around showing off your hair. These women are courageous and beautiful and therefore everyone should respect them for what they do and believe in.
People at school and church tell me it's beautiful. My professors don't say anything. My dad makes fun of me, calling me a gypsy and holding out his hand, asking me to tell his future. I usually just laugh and give him a high five, sometimes roll my eyes in a joking way. My mom wants to talk me out of it, but she's sort of stopped saying anything. My Christian friends are very supportive. Some boys at school tease and think I'm weird.
I am a teacher and I wore a headcovering for one day and many of the students (4th grade) said that it was beautiful.....I have been fighting the pants issue for years as of three months ago, I don't own pants!
i started by wearing less.. then I had a bare face a few times a week.. now I wear makeup once a week like for Sabbath services.. and now its only eyeliner and mascara, sometimes foundation.. but we all are on our own journey and we don't know what we will be convicted of tomorrow or next year.. :)
I found when I began wearing skirts exclusively even rough looking men, or youth would hold the door for me, speak to me respectfully. I don't cover, but I respect that.
These are beautiful testimonies. The one that strikes the strongest cord with me was our ambassadorship. as for me, my journey of modesty began by allowing my hair to grow out and color it no more, no more polish on my nails and very little make up, actually only lipstick very light. I do need to wear pants but all of my blouses cover me to my thighs. I have managed to be modest and still look trendy and professional. I have recently started to cover my head while in my prayer closet. the ladies are right, it does send a message out to the spirit world. thank you for sharing this video.
the scriptures say that a woman who prays with her head uncovered dishonors her head. i never know when im gonna break out in prayer or song so i wear my head covered most of the time. so inconvenient to go looking for my head covering when im fixing to pray or sing to Adonai.
R G Wells Well, the Word does say to pray without ceasing, so I have taken that to mean a head covering should always be worn. I know a argument does exist that the covering is only for church attendance but that is not what the Spirit is impressing upon me. And yes, I am being met with some resistance from my unbelieving husband.
Chills run down my spine even thinking would I ever be blessed by YAHUWAH(יהוה) with a wife who wears a head covering. As culture intoxicates itself on Babylon the Great, it is important to stay set-apart-both men and women. A husband who is submissive to Elohim through Ha'Moshiach and a wife who is submissive to her husband is a rare a beautiful thing. I absolutely detest this "battle of the sexes" controversy in western culture. Very reassuring to see there are women who aren't under the influence of feminism. I pray all the single Elohim fearing women out there find proper mates who aren't under the influence of chauvinism and become equally yoked. Amein.
Praise Yahweh for this video of these wonderful women standing up for their faith. I am slowly starting to wear mine. I wear it at home during my Sabbath & when I pray.
I covered my head until I hit my 30's without realizing the greatness of it. My journey only just started about 6 or 7 years ago. think I will now go back to covering my head! Toda Raba for this awesome video! 💓 💞
I believe in women covering their head when praying or prophesying, single or married. 1 Corinth. 11:5 But every woman PRAYING or PROPHESYING with her head uncovered DISHONORS her head. Not their literal head but he head of the order...1 Corinthians 11:3 *"But I would have you know, that the Head of every man is The Messiah; and the Head of the woman is the Man; and the Head of The Messiah is The Almighty."*
Back 50+ years ago, women were to wear hats when entering church while men took off their hats. That also ties in with men having to take their hats off when in a building or if they are greeting someone. Nikki Caswell They DO say something but in whispers amongst each other (I hear it all the time .. this one girl was wearing what looked like lingerie to Church! It was a one piece lacy short shorts and tube top kind of thing.)
+Nikki Caswell Not in Baptist, Seventh Day Adventist, Presbeterian, Episcopal, Lutheran, Pentecostal, or a host of other churches! No one ever said anything, and the first three I mentioned actually rejected the concept. (My mom was 2th Day Adventist-raised, and then a Presbeterian, and then a Baptist, and was angry that we got the idea we ought to wear the lace thing....she had specific Bible verses that she recited to reject the idea--tho I don't know which church taught her not to cover her head. It was solely a Catholic thing that women had to wear something on their heads in church. Like no meat, only fish on Fridays. I attended a lot of churches with my mom, all over the country, and only the Catholics expected something on the heads of women--and even then, if you were not Catholic, they did not say anything if you did not have the thing on your head--I may be wrong, but it seemed related to taking Communion--those were the women wearing the lace scarf.
Hallaluiyah 🙌 Ladies this videos made my heart smile in joy. I agree soo 100% with you sisters. I find it also a comfort, very much so and it always keeps me more aware of the Godly woman I am in Yahshua💞🙌 Not only for my husband but Yahweh my Father. I'm 16 years old and I heard about modesty about 5 months ago. I soon started to heard about head covering. I'm starting to dress more modestly, but it's not always perfect. I'm also starting to really want to wear a head covering, but I know my mom won't let me...
beautiful. i currently dress very modest but my savior has bee soeaking to me about covering my head. i just dont know where to start this was wonderful. women of Yahweh please remember the road is narrow we shouldnt look like the world. we should be sperated!
You can tell a lot of people do not have a clue what thye are talking about. When someone comes from a Western Greek Roman American mentality how can they understand Hebrew things. Yes a woman should cover their head. If you are not converted then stay American, yet the Bible is very clear. Women cover your heads.
i really liked the compilation of women in this video and i loved that they all covered slightly differently, one had full coverage another half covering and yet another with the half veil (or whatever its called) i really loved the questions posed and answers received. May Yahweh bless you and keep you.
I am currently doing a Bible study on head covering. I'm 46 but somehow didn't know about 1 Corinthians 11. And it's interesting to me. Believe it or not I started buying scarves I November. Preparation maybe. Thank you for sharing.
Headcoverings were not about modesty. God told us to cover our heads to show that we were under our husbands and for the sake of the angels. The covering was for the worship gathering not for every day. The woman who believes its to cover her beauty is not the reason according to the Bible.
love it, love it love it! I'm making snoods to cover my hair as well and are do a full covering while praying. I LOVE this video! I'm passing it to some of my friends who are on the fence! Thanks so much! :D
I saw this video two years ago when YHWH was working with my heart to cover my head. I had no idea that it was one of your videos. It's a small world! YHWH put you in my path long before I even knew. I've subscribed to your channel a couple of months ago. I've also started attending the Erev Shabbat fellowship. I don't have any messianic churches around, so it's they only fellowship that I have been getting. :-) Bless you brother Paul!!!!
the young lady in the white covering is so pretty. i used to wear a covering all the time. I am ready to go back. I will be making my daughter wear one too, when she is older she can choose if she likes. We live in a Muslim country so it's not hard to wear it, its easy to find them and they are beautiful. However everyone assumes i am Muslim when i wear it and when I say no I am Messianic Jew/.Christian they are surprised.
I'm going through a spiritual journey this year and covering my hair/ head, I'm documenting the different feelings and emotions I'm experiencing as well as how differently I am treated (or not) and will be publishing it in a book. As I'm doing research I'd love to get outside references other than the Corinthians scripture if anyone could point me in the right direction 🙋🏾♀️
and doesn't wearing makeup and jewellery counter productive in the way of being modest?? ((referring to that one woman, saying the covering makes her feel modest))
Head coverings are expensive and can be exotic. You are not going to be saved by wearing a head covering, but I have had certain amount of respect. I get tired because it takes up time getting dressed.
it says very plainly that her hair is given to get for a covering and her hair is also a glory, it also shows respect for the man that is over her (as that is the order God has arranged it).
Sweetheart, I thought you were absolutely lovely. Your sweetness of spirit, modesty and love for the Lord shone through every word you said :-) Unless you wear a burlap sack covering you from head to toe and a veil covering your face, there will always be those who think that you're not modest enough for their personal standard. I think you're doing fine ((hugs))
Even though I myself do not feel called to wear a head covering, I find these women's testimonies on modesty refreshing and inspiring! Can anyone tell me what the woman said at 9:20 in the video? Thanks. God Bless.
HalleluYAH - I've been wanting to start wearing one for a couple of months now - I just want to learn how... and which scarfs etc - but I'm starting asap. Thank you!!
I am a man but still got some good points on this important subject. The principles behind why these women of God use their covering can teach and edify the mind of any human being. Modesty is spat upon in America while nakedness is glorified. Adam and Eve were ASHAMED in their nakedness and had enough sense to cover themselves. Today it is an honorable thing to be in nakedness.
Can you guys put up a video that shows / explains how to tie a head-scarf? Maybe have more modern styles like the white wrap in this video or more African styles.
I am Christian and have kind of been slacking the past years. I'm modest and overall try to follow what I was taught. For the past month or so I'm feeling like...I dunno, maybe called or pushed to wear hijab/tichel/head coverage. I have ordered some caps and started building on my scarf attire, but I will admit I am a bit nervious and excited at the same time to begin. Any words of advise or tips would be appreciated!
Apryl HasWon I hope you find your way, to cover your hair... God also send me the message a few days ago to start covering my head. The same day I wrapped my first Tichel and I felt so protected and also beautiful, and it makes me aware of Gods presence in every step I take. I also ordered some tichels and essentials to start wearing my headcovering. Then I told my husband about it and how I feel with it, and he wants me to stop wearing it and also said that, if I'm going on with it, maybe it would be time for me to get into therapy. It hearts so much and I started to pray for it over and over, but I just can't understand it, because God never does something without a good reason. When God sent me that message he already knew what my husband would think about it, so it doesn't make any sense to me. Nevertheless I still wear a headcovering the whole day and put it down before my husband comes back home from work. If you know something I could do, to solve this problem, please as ser. I'm still praying for it and hopefully it will turn out alright. God bless u. Kathi
I was first convicted to stop wearing earrings as they are piercings in my flesh and I don’t want to pierce my flesh daily. Interesting that some women that wear head coverings still wear enormous earrings. It doesn’t make sense to me. Isn’t the flesh more important?
I am a 31 year old women who hasnt been under any compulsion but who have recently had stirrings within to cover my hair. I have felt SO free, in a way I cant explain to the unconverted. I realise that following the fashions and focussing on exterior appearances drew my attentions away from Jesus. The testimony of these women has confirmed what I already know in my heart, although others around me dont "get it" yet, I have noticed different reactions from people, but more respect is one of them!
I think striving for modesty is wonderful and so needed in our sex saturated culture. However, as a believer, your heart and attitude are the most important and THAT should be your witness. You are always a representative of your faith with or without a covering, the danger is to place too much emphasis on it like relying on your baptism or making it the center of attention for pride. The Scriptures are clear that it is substance over form that God favors.
1) The people commenting on the girl's earrings. Modesty is to make sure that you are not invoking negative thoughts or actions in others. To be simplistic and not vain. being dependent on fashion for your selfworth...that is vanity She has a very simple look. It is moderate. If you think God is against design and decoration, go study what His temple looked like. Go study what the priests wore. Even God likes moderate decoration. God is the inventor of elegance. Simplistic luxury.
The 1st young lady in this video is very beautiful and her head covering I believe actually adds to her beauty as well. Some say the head covering takes away from a woman but I disagree with that.
This is great!! Love the head coverings...would be nice if more young girls and women chose this way of dress rather than, wearing everything tight and half falling off....God Bless
Modesty of heart will open your' eyes to modesty of clothes. I'm sorry to butt into your' comment, especially since I didn't read the previous post you were responding to. Still, when I cover my hair, and the neck line of my blouse is a tad too low, I feel like a contradiction. I do this because because I want the physical reminder that I should live my life differently. I've been very surprised by how much I have enjoyed my process of personal growth, by practicing personal restraint.
Women that wear revealing or tight clothing, especially when text annotates where to look (e.g., "juicy" on tight shorts), that's a deliberate, conscious decision to encourage lusting. Men are visual. Even the holiest men and servants of Yahweh, such as Samson, King David or King Solomon, stumbled in the beauty of a woman. If a woman doesn't want to objectified and respects men, she shouldn't dress provocatively to cause them to stumble. The men need to exercise self control but it takes two.
I respect these women for being true to themselves and standing up for what they believe in. I understand why they cover their heads and although I don't practice this, I don't believe I or anybody else has the right to judge them or make negative comments.
I am going to have to strongly disagree on this. "but if a woman wears her hair long, it is a glory to her, because the long hair has been given to her instead of a veil." 1 Cor 11:15 Clearly we see how from the original Hebrew Yahweh took care of he need of a veil... the HAIR. Women know instinctively that it is a shame to be bald headed, what does a woman do if she is afflicted with cancer or some other illness causing her hair to fall out? the first thing she does it get a scarf or buy awig because she knows it is unnatural to knot have her head covered....by her HAIR. the same way the scriptures clearly tell us in verse 7 that "For truly a man ought not to have his head covered, being the image and glory of Elohim. But woman is the glory of man." Seems pretty cut and dry to me. Shalom B'SHem Yahshua
It's fine if you want to wear a fabric head covering, although long hair has been given to woman as a covering. And I understand the scripture to mean a covering is for when you pray, not for all the time. As for modesty? I question how "modest" it is when you know you get attention because of it. It can certainly create a sense of spiritual pride.
I wear my hair in a modest bun all of the time in submission to my God and my husband. No one at church has any clue how long my hair really is, and they never will.
I wear a head covering right now to protect my hair while its growing out. I don't need to style it perfectly everyday because I'm usually wearing a pretty scarf.
If modesty is truly in the heart, it will show in all levels of the life: how and what is eaten, what is spoken, what is done in the leisure hours, and even in what is worn as clothing. "In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array"⎯1 Timothy 2:9
Actions do matter. Thats true, but it is through obedience that you choose to wear a head covering. In the bible, Paul says that a women's hair is her glory and if she covers it shows that God is more important than her long hair. In this way, it shows her modesty towards God and shows that she respects Him.
Its not easy to find lady, in which, she plane to be woman. Even from church, they don't get what it means to them self. I love women with respecting her self. I never thought, I could hear from America with understanding of this. God bless. Amen.
I can sympathize with you completely. I am a Messianic believer in rural Louisiana from a family of very strict Catholics. My decision to wear a headcovering is quite foreign to them. I decided that in the end I was striving for their approval; not the Father's or my husband's. So I started proudly wearing my headcovering again. If you feel the Spirit's conviction on your heart and have your husband's approval, then no one else matters. You might lead those women back to this wonderful practice.
That pagan temple-orden was destroyed 30 years before Raul wrote the letter. Man is the image of the most high, but woman is the glory of man. Therefore, in order for woman to give glory to the most high she must cover her own glory. I don´t think Raul would teach beliving women to let out their hair like non-beliving women of the end-time culture.. That interpretation came first in the end-time, not in thousands of years before. We are warned for greater deceptions than ever in this last time!
I truly admire the love and obedience y'all have unto our Father😇I too shall cover my head as it has been on my heart to do so out of respect and to show that I'm not afraid of the gospel of Jesus Christ. We should stand for who we are in Christ Jesus and cover ourselves with humility and represent the Kingdom Of God in which we are Residents of💗We are True Royalty because of what Jesus did for us & not because of what we did.Thank You Jesus💗
"Then out came a woman to meet him , dressed like a prostitute and with crafty intents " She is loud and defiant ,her feet never stay at home ; now in the street ,now in the squares ,at every corner she lurks" Proverbs 7 Isn't it an accurate portrait of most of today's women freed by Satan and whose role is to make men fall in every way possible ,leading them to the chambers of death ?
Why are they wearing the coverings all the time? Like work. I thought the scripture said its just when praying /prophesying? The Lord has recently shown me the Corinthians passage about head coverings & I have purchased a few scarves.
Modesty begins in the heart. Good for them, but I do not believe that this is necessary. Even if you take the scripture to mean that women should cover their head literally, it only says for prayer and prophecy. The most anointed women I know style their head and wear make-up and jewellery and could pray you under your seat, lay hands on you and tell you the deepest desire in your heart!
These ladies are right. And some head coverings still permit the hair to fall freely. Next, if you are after modesty and being separate from the world, then we need to talk about makeup, jewllery, clothing. Showing less skin, even if you were not being naughty before.
A LOT of makeup? She's wearing 1 item of makeup, eyeliner. Anyway...her wearing of makeup is NOT hurting anyone else...but your judgment of her and publicly drawing attention to what you feel is wrong that IS hurtful towards her! Isaiah 11:3 ESV And his delight shall be in the fear of the Lord. He shall not judge by what his eyes see, or decide disputes by what his ears hear,

"It is never a hardship to submit to God's word"⎯I love that quote!
I was always prone to colds, flu, etc. Since I started wearing my head covering, it improved my health drastically.

this is a wonderful group of modest, God loving women.

In the Jewish / Christian Faith, head coverings for women are for prayer and prophesying.

Yeshua did not do away with the Law, please read your Bible.
RUclips channel called 119 Ministries has a very good study on head coverings. The title is called Headcoverings.

I really like that. The whole thing about covering to be pleasing to God.

I don't care one way or the other about head covering, but I have always found women who dress modestly very attractive.
Part 2.. as a follower of YaHuShua a modest woman is priceless!!! What YAH has given her is to be shared only with her husband...
I would like to do this
I am a Muslim , and have so much respect for u ladies makes me love my scarf more 3
I am currently doing a Bible study on head covering.
makes me want to wear one
I saw this video two years ago when YHWH was working with my heart to cover my head. I had no idea that it was one of your videos. It's a small world! YHWH put you in my path long before I even knew. I've subscribed to your channel a couple of months ago. I've also started attending the Erev Shabbat fellowship. I don't have any messianic churches around, so it's they only fellowship that I have been getting. :-) Bless you brother Paul!!!!
that is such wonderful new. Thank you and keep up the great work.
the young lady in the white covering is so pretty. i used to wear a covering all the time.
I'm going through a spiritual journey this year and covering my hair/ head,
I'm documenting the different feelings and emotions I'm experiencing as well as how differently I am treated (or not) and will be publishing it in a book.
As I'm doing research I'd love to get outside references other than the Corinthians scripture if anyone could point me in the right direction 🙋🏾♀️
I identify with this video soooo much, thank you for making it and posting it here!
Please correct me if I am wrong but I am pretty sure she said "tzitzit". These are the knotted fringes on a prayer shawl.
and doesn't wearing makeup and jewellery counter productive in the way of being modest?? ((referring to that one woman, saying the covering makes her feel modest))
Alexandra Haynes How is wearing makeup not modest
Head coverings are expensive and can be exotic. You are not going to be saved by wearing a head covering, but I have had certain amount of respect. I get tired because it takes up time getting dressed.
very awesome God bless you ladies
it says very plainly that her hair is given to get for a covering and her hair is also a glory, it also shows respect for the man that is over her (as that is the order God has arranged it).
I like this..was not aware. Thank you.
Thanks for sharing your comments . I am christian and I am considering start wearing it :)
Gd bless you sisters
Sweetheart, I thought you were absolutely lovely. Your sweetness of spirit, modesty and love for the Lord shone through every word you said :-) Unless you wear a burlap sack covering you from head to toe and a veil covering your face, there will always be those who think that you're not modest enough for their personal standard. I think you're doing fine ((hugs))
I started wearing one at Sabbath service
lovely testimonies Thanks a lot for making this
Even though I myself do not feel called to wear a head covering, I find these women's testimonies on modesty refreshing and inspiring! Can anyone tell me what the woman said at 9:20 in the video? Thanks. God Bless.
HalleluYAH - I've been wanting to start wearing one for a couple of months now - I just want to learn how... and which scarfs etc - but I'm starting asap. Thank you!!
I respect and admire your decision to be true to your heart.
A voice of truth and common sense. Thank you.
Just stay in prayer and doing it and if anyone says anything know they are you set apart and they notice. Take it as a complement.
Kathi
Cristina Washam I ordered mine from a wonderful lady on Etsy. Her shop is tby treasures. She hand makes her tichels in linen. They are beautiful.
Praise be to YHWH our Father and Yeshua our Lord!! May God bless these sisters for their faithfulness!!
This blessed my soul. Bless you ladies.
Love the first girls headcovering. Where did you get it? How do you put that on?
I ALWAYS COVER MY HEAD INSIDE MY CHURCH, " I AM A LADY THOU MY NAME IS OF MY GREAT GRAND FATHER."
I don't need to style it perfectly everyday because I'm usually wearing a pretty scarf.
interesting i've herd of covered hair in church but not as a everyday thing
If modesty is truly in the heart, it will show in all levels of the life: how and what is eaten, what is spoken, what is done in the leisure hours, and even in what is worn as clothing. "In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array"⎯1 Timothy 2:9
It is obedience to GOD. It is not a matter of blessing. It is how GOD intends to b approached by HIS daughters.
Actions do matter. Thats true, but it is through obedience that you choose to wear a head covering. In the bible, Paul says that a women's hair is her glory and if she covers it shows that God is more important than her long hair. In this way, it shows her modesty towards God and shows that she respects Him.
God bless you for this. I have been considering this for some time and just needed this!
You might lead those women back to this wonderful practice.
i have been thinking about this strongly
Beautiful video, how strange this has been something I've been thinking about lately
I think it is awesome that women choose to do this and those that dress modestly.
"Then out came a woman to meet him , dressed like a prostitute and with crafty intents " She is loud and defiant ,her feet never stay at home ; now in the street ,now in the squares ,at every corner she lurks" Proverbs 7
Isn't it an accurate portrait of most of today's women freed by Satan and whose role is to make men fall in every way possible ,leading them to the chambers of death ?
We only worship in spirit and truth.
+Michael Dougfir Yes. God convicted me when I was a teenager, I stopped using jewelry, make up and artificial hair and trousers.
I'm thinking about this more
awesome video, love this interviews!
A LOT of makeup? She's wearing 1 item of makeup, eyeliner. Anyway...her wearing of makeup is NOT hurting anyone else...but your judgment of her and publicly drawing attention to what you feel is wrong that IS hurtful towards her!
Isaiah 11:3 ESV
And his delight shall be in the fear of the Lord. He shall not judge by what his eyes see, or decide disputes by what his ears hear,
