We are on a precipice of witnessing the final judgements of God to be poured out upon the world as we now know it. But what about each of us? Has God provided a refuge of escape for His people? How are we to prepare? These are important questions that need our full attention as we examine whether, or not, our lives are fully hid in Christ. Luke 17:27-29 reminds us to be prepared as Luke recalls societies that were not ready. These verses state, “They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all. Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; but the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.” Sadly, a large unnumbered population of the past turned a deaf ear to God’s warnings of repentance and preparation during the time of Noah and Lot’s escape. My question for us today is this, what will we choose to do with the information that God has given us in regards to the prophecies of the end? Our hope, and prayer, is that we will all head the warnings and make the necessary preparations of escape without delay and in the strength and power of God’s grace!
