Great to see father daughter hanging out
Can’t wait to see what your going to do with this new project
Cap wording translates to
Tourner et bloquer = turn to block (or lock) Clockwise as designated by the arrow
Desserrer lentement = loosen slowly Anti Clockwise again as designated by the arrow
Loving the suicide doors the colour and some of the features almost give it a miniature American taxi cab feel 😂 - lekka boet - Michael Uk 🇬🇧
it's for water not for fuel (the french guy)
Thanks for the translation!
Hi Diff. The Renault is cool. Can't wait to see what you will do with it. (Motor cycle engine)😊
WOW what a beautiful DAUTHTER
Thanks!
Interesting web site! Your spirit is unflag-
gable.
!
awesome little car! i love it!
Thanks for taking us along for the ride. The scenery is beautiful. Cute little car. Looking forward to seeing what becomes of it!
Interesting little car. I have always loved suicide doors. Thanks for sharing your next build with us.👍
That thing would look awesome as a 4x4.
I’m just a Manitoba prairie boy that lives a very long ways away from any ocean. And that shot of your ocean at the very start of your video was absolutely breathtaking!!! You live in an amazing place man!!!!! I love it
Thanks. Yes, blessed!
i love it !!!!!!!!!! can't wait to see you "do your thing"
Hi mate, that thing would be good with a center mounted steering wheel and drivers seat with 2 rear bucket seats. Love the doors on it.
I call the louvered rear hatch a deck lid...It was so awesome to see the smile on your face and love in your heart for your daughter ♥️ This will be an awesome build...can't wait !!
Quite the find, I love the whole car , can't wait to see your magic!!!!😊
That looks like a cool project Div. Thank you for sharing.
That must be a very rare car in today’s standards. Thought it was a beetle at first. I could see a monster Renault evolving from this.
Looking forward to seeing what you do with it. I like the lines, be a cool little hot rod.
That’s a cool looking little car 👍👍
Looks almost like a car kit. Cross between a VW and a Morris minor! 😊
Good description!
Oh. Wow that’s really cool can’t wait to see what you got planned. Can't wait to see more updates an projects and many more videos soon Div. Keep up the great craftsmanship and hard work my friend. Fab On. Weld On. Keep Making. God bless.
Cool project! Looking forward to seeing what your going to do!
Lekka car Boet. Will be waiting to see what you going to do with this littlest yellow one. Having good times with your daughter is golden.
👍👌👏 That's a really nice little yellow car. Congratulations 🎉 for purchasing it. This Renault 4CV might even be a very rare oldtimer in Africa. If this was mine, I would take care of the rust, put the car together and drive it with nearly all it's patina. I simply love all the round shapes. I would almost bet that your Misses likes the vehicle and would love to drive it. It's obvious that the owner wanted to build a kind of Gordini sport version with no bumpers.
Thanks a lot for making explaining recording editing uploading and sharing.
Best regards, luck and especially health to all involved people.
Let's hear what the Missus has to say. She hasn't seen it yet...
Dear @@ratrodsafrica
😱 You definitely took a risk by not asking permission from your boss. But at least you had a backup plan = taking your daughter with you. 😁 ;-)
2) Instead of buying original ones, you could build 2 really fancy bumpers with your great talent (and some tools of course). 😁 ;-) Mustn't even be shiny ones, primed and painted (yellow?) metal will do it for me. Or even ones completely covered in surface rust. The Renault with it's iconic shape looks even good without bumpers. But it's not very practical if the car is driven more often than only to car shows.
Thanks for replying and especially for giving a heart to my comment. I appreciate both very much.
Sincerely yours.
@@ratrodsafrica Very wise my brother. Happy wife ? Happy life. I think that's what she said.🤔😂
Hello Shauna. Nice to see you helping out your Dad again. This was a fun run. Huge smile all the way through. 👍🏻✌🏻love this car Div. And all the treasures inside. Be safe 🙏
😊 thank you
Nice find. Same era as my 1956 DKW 3=6 I am busy with
Awsome, to see family together.
Awesome, father daughter road trip…good times 👍
Good times indeed!😀
I love it! That can be an amazing project and I believe more so with your imagination put into it.
With you 💯 on that.
Div certainly has a creative mind and the fabrication skills to bring his visions to life. 👍🤘🔥🔥
Thank you!
Looks like another great project
Thats a lakka little car,Div. There are many ways you could go with this car depending on your budget.
1. Front engine, V8, tube frame, straight axle gasser, 4 speed, bucket seats, fat tires out back and skinnies up front.
2. Rear engine Subaru engine swap, lowered all around, flared fenders over wide tires, autocross car.
3. Hayabusa engine where the rear seat is, sequential shifter, super light wheelie monster.
4. Toronado or Eldorado front wheel drive transaxle and V8 transplanted in the rear seat area. Would be insane.
Getting a lot of these parts is probably pretty difficult in SA, but I'm sure whatever you come up with will be awesome.
Haha yes, any of those suggestions will be beyond the budget! Especially here in SA. I'm thinking more along the lines of something that could be used as a daily driver. Lets see...
Voilà ce que tu
as trouver👍🏻
Fais nous quelque chose de terrible 👍👍
What can i say priceless Mr Diff your daughters a stunner who does she take after. beautiful country Gods country enjoy your time together
Well, she definitely does not take after me...😅 Must be the mama.
Cool little car.i cant wait to see what you do with it
Cool little car. Looks like fun!
Well done
Really enjoyed the show .
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks!
What a cool little car. I have never seen one before, Div. The gas cap says: BLOCK TURN ST TIGHTEN according to Google translate. Lol! Can’t wait to see what you do to this car! Say hi to your daughter Shawna, from me of your viewers in Manitoba, Canada.
Thanks bro! Will tell her
I had to brace myself a few times during the drive as you are driving on the wrong side of the road. A cool old car, maybe needs a chop top. Thanks for sharing. Cheers
Right and wrong is relative...😅
@@ratrodsafrica haha!!! Yep
That would make a nice mini gasser with a big tires in the back never seen that car before That’s a neat little car
Very cool little car.
I would put it back in original condition , and I don’t mean restore it , I would like to see what it used to look like ! Thanks for another , Brother !
That is one cool car Div , so many possibilities.
What a cool little car!
Damn Diff! I had no idea South Africa is so beautiful! All you think of from the US is what we are shown on nature shows. Thanks for the share!
SA is a country with everything from rain forest to desert. Truly a beautiful and diverse place
Cool!! Looking forward to see what you do with this one 👍
It's nice to see family
Wouah. A Renault 4CV. French car... Here, in France, we make racecar with this...
This one is in very good shape. Cool. I cant waite for what you do with this little car...😊
This should be a very interesting project ..can't wait
that's a cool car can't wait until you start that.
Lekka ride my friend and your daughter did a excellent job!
Thanks, I will tell her🙂
Love your relationship with your daughter, I can relate.
Cool looking car. Deleted rear seat and a front wheel drive V6 engine and manual transmission shoehorned into the back, is what I'm thinking... Will be fun to see in what direction this project car goes.
Hi Div, cool find of a car from the year I was born. You have a knack for picking near stuff. Good job by your daughter on shooting the video. Nice that she joined you on the reconnaisance. Can't wait to see what you do with it.
Neat stuff.
Thanks for another cool video Div!🍺
Love your content and your commentary...
built for 4 tiny Frenchman..
I love it.
Looks like a very interesting project for you .
Nice. One of those “we can do a Beetle too” cars.
But I personally like its looks more. Looking forward to see what it will turn into.
🎉 I've always taken a vehicle and made my own version, that autos no one would touch is the best fun , keep open mind about builds and having fun
That’s a cool little car
That little car is FREAKING cool 😎
Little rough but an awesome shape, most important parts are there (exterior door handles etc.) 👍👍
Cool little car😁👍🙋🙏🐝 cool 🤪
Fascinating little car, would be good with a worked VW engine, wide wheels and really stretched fenders. Thanks Div.
Cool car can't wait to see what you do with it.
Do your sweet magic on it friend!
Hey Dif, suggestion, build a frame for it and install a V8 up front. That is a cool car. Great Street Rod material!
Cute car 😎 going to be an interesting build Div
4CV renaults are actually cool, and surprisingly quik, little cars. Millions were made and sold. I would have bought that one too! Keep goin',,,Izzy Strong USA,,,,
Hey Boet I was hoping you have not forgotten the wifes Bedford.Looking forward to that one . Remember happy wife happy life .cheers
That's such a cool little car!
Div definitely going to be a killer build I can say I never seen one before and Can’t wait to see what your going to build
i like that something for you to play and make it pretty nice ........make it happens my friend 👍👍💪💪
Hi
I am French and I am impatiently waiting for what you are going to do with this little car
if I could on mine I would do a top shop and a V-shaped 4 cylinder Ford Capri
in the front
good luck
the little French
Anxious to see your grand plan
Well, you could put a big motor up front and drive from the back seat, or go with a hot Subaru engine in the back like they do with VW busses. Either way it sounds like fun!
Like the idea of the Subaru!
Cool little ol car
Wanted to see you do a car rat rod, can't wait to see what you do to this.
Cool car. Would make a great little Gasser 😍
It would! Except gassers are pretty much for straight lines and I'm thinking something more drivable...
Lovely to see some more your family Diff , and what a find , welcome to the Rat fold , can't wait to see the re evolution, reminds me of a cross between a VW and and a Morris Minor , " Turn lock , loosen slowly" 😂. Have a bootiful day ( that's a Cornish saying ) 😊
A cross between VW and Morris Minor is a damn good description! Thanks for the translation🙂
I like the suicide door's, you could make something different with that canvas, fue little treasures, thanks for sharing, all the best to you and your loved ones, have a Lekka one
Looks promising the lil Renault Div, maybe motorcycle engine in the rear ?...thanks for the sightseeing tour of your country, good to see your daughter hanging out with you....
One of my mates also suggest a bike engine. The other one says a 3 cylinder Kubota. Lets see...
Looks like a fun project.
come on!!! we need to see you build this little car, please !!
Love your music choices on this one!!
Thanks!🙂
Cool car. Turn left - turn right
Can’t wait to see what you make with it. I know it’s going to be cool. 👊
It would make a really cool gasser. Big block, tunnel ram, straight axle, tubed and chopped....
It would look very cool to give it a full frame and a gasser look with a straight axle in front
I can see the new project on a suzuki jimny 4x4, it's a lovely looking car, lekka Div. Have a good one
Very coll love the suicide doors
Wow what a find dude , for saying how old it is the metal is in mint nick , i am sure you will do it justice what ever you do with it , watching from Thailand 🇹🇭🤘🤘🤘
That is a cool little car dude. I dig it. I'm imagining a chassis swap with something awd and turbo
At school our art teacher had one that would never start and us kids used to push it to get going, needless to say we got good exam results. That was in the late 60's and it already contained much rust.
😄 Nice little story
Cool project! Looking forward to seeing your artistry, Diff!
Well, this is the definition of Love.
😀
Aw how nice, a father daughter road trip! I miss my dad. Nice score too, I forgot French cars were once hugely popular in SA. One of these days I'm definitely gonna have to visit SA and the shop!
You welcome any time! 🙂
Looks like a cool little “yellow taxi”. I can’t wait to see what Diff’s imagination will turn this into!
Thanks for showing us around.. it’s amazing how much it looks like my home town in utah.
Hi Div. Greetings from Aus. Congratulations to die Bokke. My Father had one of these as a first car and my wife from Vietnam, her Father had one as a taxi in Saigon right through the war. Tough little cars. Great find mate.
Thanks! It was a close shave🙂
I can't wait to see you make a truck out of this..hahaha..You have a lovely and loving daughter..I'm sure she is a treasure. I have two wonderful daughters which are my treasures. Paulin Ohio
Thanks man. The apple of my eye!
This was a learning experience for me. I never heard of that car before. And I didn’t know that rat rodders had kids. 😉😁
when i was 18 back in 1972 (USA) i got a 1960 one and it was a fun car a cheap on fuel the thing i didnt see in your car was a tool that lower the spare down on the 60s remove the wheel cap off the wheel nuts crank up the jack and started the motor in that hole you found in the back also mine was sky blue👍
realy interesting project
Not bad ⚡️
