I love Daniel Smith! Still slowly building up my palette, I have about 38 colors-trying to reach 48 to fill my palette. Also, you can still use your greens!Just tone them down with a complementary color or neutral tint. It is always easy to tone colors down, but it is harder to mix vibrant, punchy colors.

Just curious - do you have a favorite Daniel Smith paint? It is definitely harder to mix those full saturation colors but I just tend to never use full saturation greens. I should challenge myself to a painting that does that, though. I generally mix my own with smaller palettes.

Ah I love the springy colours in this! You are SO right about DS Ultramarine, mine also dries into a rock. When I need to refill it, I'm going to try mixing some glycerin in to see if that helps it rewet better. And yeah, DS Indanthrone s soooo sad. I wish I'd never bought mine. Regrets. I have to admit being astounded that you ran out of Quin Rose and never rebought it, but I'm addicted to Quin Rose and it's frequently the cold red I reach for the most... and you have Alizarin Crimson for that. It just threw me for a loop, haha!

Thank you! I should've bought glycerin years ago when you first mentioned it. I only had a 5mL tube of both Quin Rose and Alizarin Crimson. I think there might be a dot of Alizarin Crimson left in the tube. They run out far faster. I bought the wrong colors in 15mL 😆 DS makes stunning cool reds.
