@@MoondogReviews so i was test fitting a mask and i found that it wasnt doing full coverage of my ears (lower part was out and getting squeezed by the plastic. do these cover the ears or leave them exposed?
Slightly better breathability and voice clarity with the mesh is the only advantage I notice, though I don't mind the classic look. I'll just stick with paintball masks for my own preference and dual function. This would be a good back up exclusively for airsoft or first time buyers.
The only advantage to this over a regular mesh mask is not getting sprayed with a mouth full of broken BB's playing CQB. Or far less. Hope you subscribed.
I pull up my balaclava for CQB and breath down to prevent fogging and prevent an open mouth, though I've had paintballs painfully slap my mask into my mouth quite often. Getting peppered in the face with occasional BB-bits isn't a good sensation, though isn't as bad with the face cover up. Subbed.
Is it possible to take of the ear protection of the mask and use active hearing protection instead? My local paintball field allows to use "banger" grenades (like enola gaye mk5 thunderflash or taggin) which reach sound pressure levels of 120db and above and thus unfortunately damage your hearing. Of course no one believed me when I was telling them that those "grenades" are NOT ear safe, but I want to protect myself.
Yes, the ear pads slip off if you undo the goggle strap buckles or you can simply cut them off with some shears so you have room for ear pro. Be sure to subscribe.
Is the lens hard enought for it to Withstand a 400 fps shot?, I mainly play outside fields and and concerned if it will hold that type of fps shot to the googles.
would this still fog while wearing a face mask for covid safety. i haven't been to a field yet so i don't know how they manage masks but in my experience masks=fog no matter what
Are the Lens replaceable or can you take them out? Reason I ask is maybe paint the mask for Woodland camo type look. I love my old Dye I3 and JT Masks! And my Vote....GIVE-AWAY!!
Can you wear comms (comtac iii) with this due too the ear covers? Can you wear a Fast helmet with this? How does it hold up in extreme temperatures which contribute to fogging? Don't shoot them up, instead keep testing them with comms and helmet and in different temps.
@@Moondog2A Did you test this thoroughly? Do you think the headsets / active hearing protection fits good? Im kinda looking into buying both the mask and the hearing protection 💸💸💸
@@thefridge9278 You'll have to remove the ear covers to fit Active Hearing headsets. That said, it's going to also depend on your head shape as to comfort with the mask/goggle strap? Everbody's ear and head shape is different.
theres a spot on the front underneath the goggle part where if hit just right a airsoft bb can get inside the mask and hit you in the eye and those ear covers dont look like itd hold up to multiple shots looks like a flexible rubber or cheap quality. Have you done a test review of you shooting it to see how it actually holds up vs a unboxing ?
Mine did not have a gap that would allow a BB to get between the mask and goggle and let a BB in? I shot at the goggle from 1ft away with 2x 5rnd burst from a 1.5 joule gun and it did minimal damage to the goggles. No damage at all to the mesh. Some white marks and slight denting where the main impact was but no cracks. The ear pads were flexable plastic but should last in most arenas assuming normal play in a regulated arena where people are under 1.5 joules in CQB.
@@michogiann2746 it's not a full face, I'm using the Tigris 1 or something like that face covering and then some goggles. I can find the links if you want
You can wear a floppy/boonie hat. Your tumble is protected by the mask's brim. If you remove the brim you could wear this mask with a helmet. Hope you subscribe.
Thanks a lot for the review, I weak large glasses and this should do the trick ! I have a question though, does anyone know if it is possible to buy the eye protection alone (without the sun shield and the facemask) ?
I feel like Tippman dropped the ball on this one and is just catering to the airsoft community by slapping mesh on a paintball mask and calling it airsoft specific, especially with airsoft purists or fudds who will not wear paintball masks just because they are paintball branded, even though they provide better protection than a two piece goggle mesh setup. Cheek weld in airsoft is the biggest problem and this mask just made it more difficult to achieve. JT proflex is the exact same goggle with a “flexible” chin guard that lets you get a better cheek weld. This is clearly catering to the milsim crowd. (Bruh!)

Yes. I'd trust against a 400fps with a 0.25g BB at 3ft distance.

True. Every goggle can fog depending on how much you exert yourself or if you're moving. This fogs less than most goggles.

Yes, they're like paintball JT goggles where you can replace the lens. They're held in the with the same shaped tabs so you can pop them out.

You can take of the plastic ear covers if you're running Comms.

How is this mask for use with red dot/iron sights? Can you get behind the sights at all?-
Not iron sights. Red Dots on a riser works best.

Possibly but it depends on the height of your rings/mount. Add a high riser if you need it: amzn.to/3vCXh2S

No. Iron sights are going to be a problem for any hard mask.
