The level is different. Elite 16 is the top level on the international tour and challenge is the next highest iirc. So at challenge tournaments the teams are usually weaker and the tournament gives less points. The more points you have the bigger the chances you get a slot at elite 16 tournaments or the qualifier
@@vogelpesos thanks ! 16 = 16 countries ? How much do they win for the gold, silver and bronze medals in each countries ? That is so difficult to get information... The FIVB international headquarter in Lausanne Switzerland are terrible in communication... Too much corruption etc in that association and they don't promote volleyball and Beachvolleyball at all (try to get information, infrastructure, donation or help in anything from them and you will be surprised of their support...)
@@bluepawn Hm seems like my response got deleted. As a short summary: Elite 16 means the strongest 16 teams that registered for the tournament will be playing. Strength is determined by Points list. You earn points by playing at the international tour, your top 8 results of a years span determines your points. I think the 16th spot is determined by a qualifier beforehand. The teams of the qualifier again are determined by rank/points. I think the prize money is equal for each elite 16 (not sure though). How much it is I have no idea, there are a lot of pros on insta. Maybe ask them directly
Wow!!! Way to go undersized Portugal!!!

@@vogelpesos and Futures is even lower class than Challenge ?
@@ingvarins9923 Yes it is. There is actually a small wikipedia article for the beach volleyball world tour with the ranking of the tournaments
