Breiðholt is not a ghetto!!! It is a beautiful green place, friendly for families, with fantastic views to all directions! People from West Town and the Center call us ghetto, because they have horrible windy weather all year around, so close to the ocean. They simply envy us here in the hills with our outstanding weather conditions!!! 😀😀😀
That is true! Breiðholt has the best weather in Reykjavík. Also, before Breiðholt was a thing, West Town was the unquestionable ghetto of Reykjavík and still kinda is. It's just more ''hipstery'' nowdays.
Renting a room in Reykjavík with access to a bath can be anywhere from 50.000 to 90.000isk a month. Renting a full apartment can cost you from 110.000 to 200.000isk a month.
@@icelandinreallife2042 That’s quite reasonably I think. Had an apartment in my hometown for about 1100Chf (about 150.000 ISK), the heating bills killed me (I had a floor air conditioner in the winter)
Já ég hef einmitt heyrt einhverjar sögusagnir um Ásbrú og hvernig það á víst að vera algert skítapleis. Ég bý á Akureyri og ef að það má kalla einhvern hluta af okkar bæ ''ghettó'' þá er það sennilega Naustahverfið.
I've been thinking about something like that for a while. I'll definitely cover that period of time some at some point, but I'm not sure if the occupation will be the main focus.
I’m here to see if Mike Epps was lying
Me too hahahaha 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Ahaahahahah me too 😂😂😂😂

ég elska og hatta breiðholtið
Haha ég líka alltaf þegar fólk segir mér að það er frá Breiðholti þá hugsa ég í gríni að það sé fátækt og eru þjófar
Mér finnst mjög næs að búa hér.
What does rent cost there, asking for a friend
The cheapest apartments there cost around 28 million isk.

is this town dangerous at night Is there a robbery or murder?
Only rarely. If I remember correctly since 1972 there have been 3 murders and 3 shootings.
Ég átti að heima í einu hverfi sem er dálítið svipað Breiðholti það er Ásbrú í keflavík mjög ljótur staður og bara fullt af blokkum og svona "ghetto"

ive seen worse ghettos in the village where i live in the uk
I've never been to an British city smaller than Brighton. That place had some shady back alleys...
I have a suggestion for a future video. Maybe you could talk a little more about the British/USA occupation of Iceland during WW2?

áfram Breiðholt
That's a ghetto? Lol wtf do the middle class and upper class areas are like then??
Like these houses shown here at 5:35 :)
