First time I was in Iceland I hitched from Reykjavik to Akureyri and then on to Husavik. I flew back to Reykjavik from Husavik. The plane was a Fokker, much smaller, a 16 seater, I think. I was more fortunate with the weather, clear skies mostly. A wonderful place with hardly any toutists then.
I am so glad that you liked hitch hiking in Iceland, I loved that too. I hitched from Hofn to Reykjavik with a wonderful couple who gave me free history lessons all the way. The Fokker plane that you mention might be the one in this video: ruclips.net/video/u1LAEYo9NB8/видео.htmlsi=M-Ex37_F4xP_CxEX It makes me very happy to hear that you got to fly in good weather 🥰 Thank you so much for commenting on my video, it realy helps me out a lot. @sjonkelrolfsen Can't be sure about the plane. The visit I referred to was a long time ago ( 1970 ) when I was a student. I also hitched along the South coast as far as Skojar and the waterfall. I stayed at a Youth Hostel or similar there. Also went to Myvatn and the Sulphur Desert ( incredible! ). I got a little beyond Husavik, as far as Ruafarhopn. There was then no traffic and it was late. Suddenly, a tractor appeared and the driver insisted I Stat at his house. This sort of thing happened a number of times in Iceland. Not sure that would happen now. I went to quite a few discos in Reykjavik and following liberal consumption of much ' Black Death ' got invited to lots of all night parties. Wild place! I much enjoyed my short visit ( just under 3 weeks).
Awesome, both of you had a lovely walk from the center to the airport. Amazing views of Iceland from the plane. Thanks for sharing with us your relaxing journey from Reykjavik to Akureyri. Peace, love and harmony.

It is a nice walk from the center to the airport. No need for public transport ore a car when you can walk 😊
Yes, I agree with both of you.
I did the same on September, it was cool
Thank you so much for your kind support dear Chris 😊 I love travelling with small domestic airplanes, especially over stunning landscapes like this 🥳
