Thanks for what must be a torturous exercise now. GWs editorial screwed up from here. Vlad is raised by Nagash AFTER Arkhan and Mannfred bring back the Great Necromancer (you forgot to mention that the ritual didn't quite work as the Everchild was a bastard daughter of the Everqueen and Tyrion. Also the Fey Enchantress had been turned into a vampire before she was sacrificed). But this is all before the Auric Wall is raised by Gelt and the fall of Kislev. Any way Vlad now takes over Sylvania (despite Mannfred claiming it) and assists in the defence of the Auric Wall before then going against Nagash's orders and actively helping the Empire and accepting Karl Franz as Emperor in return for being recognised as eternal Elector Count of Sylvania (screw you Mannfred). The story is so huge and so convoluted that doing it the way they did (writing books on specific characters and their experiences) rather than having a book by book description of the War across the entire world chronologically invited confusion and timing mistakes. Great video...but alot of the content was either misunderstood or straight up incorrect, ill give some examples. 1. The Bretonnians only made it to Altdolf when the seige was halfway through, they charged on one of the three Chaos armies in the rear, effectively routing it. (Plus Giles le Bretton was not with them) 2. Hellborg only made an alliance with Vlad Von Carstien when the main defence of Altdorf was falling apart, when the mass of undead flooded the burning city it practically became a three way fight, with the armies of Chaos and Undeath tearing into one another like rabid dogs while the Empire forces desperately clung on to the few remaining hold outs they had left. 3. The Dwarfs and the High Elves both tried to rescue the Everchild. The Dwarfs marched on Sylvania but were turned back by a massive army of Beastmen, while the High Elves made an alliance with the Empire and maneged to fight their way to Mannfred Von Carstien and Arkan the Black who were doing the ritual to bring Nagash back. Unfortunately the Elves failed, the Everchild was sacrificed and Eltharion (Leader of the High Elves) got turned to ashes. 4. Franz did not leave Altdorf to it's 'green fate' when Otto struck him down and he died, he was reborn as the Avatar of Sigmar and the chosen host of the magical lore of Heaven. When this happened, it sent a massive magical golden shockwave across the burning city, completely disintegrating the entirety of both the Chaotic and Undead armies. Leaving the remaining Empire forces wondering what the hell just happened. Altdorf was abandoned soon afterwards. There, just a few points I wanted to speak up on.
he was in brittonia. louen left Brettonia because he was upset and jealous Gilles took his spot. so Louen was crying and asking the lady what he did to make her turn her back on him and that he would do whatever she wanted. the lady then appeared and said she did not turn her back on him. she also said it was Gilles destiny to be the king and louen's destiny was elsewhere. then she pulled some reverse psychology on Louen and essentially made him volunteer to go on a suicide mission to help Altdorf (she told Louen that he was most likely going to die at least). louen decided, since it wasn't his destiny to be king of brettonia, he would go fulfill his new destiny, which was to go on a suicide mission. louen still had the respect of many knights and when he told them that he was going on a suicide mission because the lady asked him to, his knights decided that they also wanted to die for no reason, so they joined him. meanwhile, in brettonia, Gilles was just being the king and defending the lands against Chaos. Gilles is never brought up again, so we have to assume that this is all he was doing the whole time.

great video ! too bad Altdorf was sack by the chaos. now the hope rests with the lizardmens to defend against skaven invasion. cant wait to the next episode of this.
Ahhh, no no no no no. Vashanesh was the first of his line, not Manfred. Neferata gave Vashanesh the blood kiss, and later, after the fall of the vampire kingdom in Nehekara, Vashanesh traveled north to sylvania over the centuries in hiding, and eventually overtook the city of Drakanhof. It was here that he fell in love with Isabella von Drak, daughter of the late Imperial Count Otto von Drak. Doomed with illness, Vashanesh gave her the Blood kiss, took over as the Reigning Count of Sylvania, and changed his name to Vlad Von Carstein. He and Issabella sired 2 children, (method unknown) Manfred Von Carstein, and Conrad Von Carstein, there in Castle Drakenhof. Manfred was NOT even around at the time of the first Vampires when they were created by the misleading guidance and influence of Arkhan the Black, who was being instructed to corrupt the Elixer by Nagash himself, whom Arkhan could converse with via the winds of Death.
It's sad more books weren't written as it be very interesting to know we're Konrad and Manfred there children. Someone else's that they then raised or was it just the two humans they trusted the most or had some sort of friendship with that we never get to see
Can someone explain to me how Vlad is alive and where the heck is Isabella? And why is Vlad helping the Empire. I AM SO CONFUSED. Never read the End times cause I only heard bad things about it.
When Nagash was revived he resurrected Vlad, and made him one of his Mortarchs and gave him the task of holding off Chaos while Nagash tried to achieve godhood by absorbing the wind of Shyish, and so Vlad went to aid the Empire, as for Isabella, she was not resurrected by Nagash but rather was possessed by a daemon of nurgle and lead a massive host that would fight the other undead in Sylvania.

The battle of Mousillon, Neferata's and Mannfred's campaigns, the resurrection of Nagash, the Nehekharan campaign, the Helreach and the Battle against Harkon where Karl Franz falls... not mentioning the whole Maggoth Lords besieging Talaheim thing. I mean, they're all important events for what comes later. I hope you'll correct this with a future video.
I absolutely love this channel!❤❤🎉🎉
I missed this content about warhammer
The "Fall of Altdorf" the book was epic. It basically contains 2 small sieges and the massive siege of Altdorf at the end,it has a great opening and great characters. It's very well-written and Chris Wraight gives us a great Warhammer Fantasy story once again. But Games Workshop decided to destroy one of the best High Fantasy settings and turn into an abomination...in favor of Warhammer 40,000.
They killed off Oldhammer so it could be reborn more terrible and copyrightable that before.
Um you mean in favor of Age of Shitmar. 40k is awesome
@@jeambeam3173 The rumor was that they concentrated on Warhammer 40,000 and they didn't like how Warhammer Fantasy was not making the money of Warhammer 40k.
@@Tsagia Not really a rumor, it's pretty much a fact. It wasn't selling well so GW made last ditch effort by make it more as skirmish game by making Age of Sigmar. And by going to new setting they can now go free with their model designs.
And it worked. Fantasy models sales went up, it is now on it's 3rd edition and now GW has money to re-release Warhammer Fantasy as The Old World for as prequel to Age of Sigmar.
@@TheVergonernow , everyone know about warhammer is just Warhammer total war , in my country and most of Asia, only warhammer fantasy is famous because of Total war warhammer’s success, nobody knows WH 40k
amazing stuff
After listening to this decided to go for a round of Warhammer total war and rip chaos a new one... or three since it's nurgle
Imagine being a Free Company Militia man as Chaos host pours past the undead towards you.
wow this is really good
Great video...but alot of the content was either misunderstood or straight up incorrect, ill give some examples.
1. The Bretonnians only made it to Altdolf when the seige was halfway through, they charged on one of the three Chaos armies in the rear, effectively routing it. (Plus Giles le Bretton was not with them)
There, just a few points I wanted to speak up on.
where is Gilles le Breton when Louen fell and Altdorf was broken through?!
he was in brittonia.
louen left Brettonia because he was upset and jealous Gilles took his spot.
so Louen was crying and asking the lady what he did to make her turn her back on him and that he would do whatever she wanted.
the lady then appeared and said she did not turn her back on him. she also said it was Gilles destiny to be the king and louen's destiny was elsewhere.
then she pulled some reverse psychology on Louen and essentially made him volunteer to go on a suicide mission to help Altdorf (she told Louen that he was most likely going to die at least).
louen decided, since it wasn't his destiny to be king of brettonia, he would go fulfill his new destiny, which was to go on a suicide mission.
louen still had the respect of many knights and when he told them that he was going on a suicide mission because the lady asked him to, his knights decided that they also wanted to die for no reason, so they joined him.
meanwhile, in brettonia, Gilles was just being the king and defending the lands against Chaos. Gilles is never brought up again, so we have to assume that this is all he was doing the whole time.
the entire audio book for The Fall of Altdorf is on RUclips right now.
if you are really interested, i urge you to watch it as soon as possible before GW finds out and DMCA's it.
Its in 2 parts and like 11 hours total
@@Hello-ig1px ooh, thank you so much for the explanations 😊
Sooo good!!!
Gawd I love this channel
This one has Ikit Claw in it, thus I am obligated to like.
You should cover 40K and Star Wars!
great video ! too bad Altdorf was sack by the chaos. now the hope rests with the lizardmens to defend against skaven invasion. cant wait to the next episode of this.
Someone else's that they then raised or was it just the two humans they trusted the most or had some sort of friendship with that we never get to see
Can someone tell me where to find this lore and do the forces of good comeback?
This channel is awesome
Man: I don’t like it.
Carstein: I don’t either but fuck chaos
Man: ….yea fuck chaos you’re alright
As much as i hated the end times, ive still always loved how much all the von Carsteins wanted all the smoke from chaos lol.
I will write fantasy books just so you could make videos of the battles
Great video!
Can someone explain to me how Vlad is alive and where the heck is Isabella? And why is Vlad helping the Empire. I AM SO CONFUSED. Never read the End times cause I only heard bad things about it.
Vlad is Lawful Evil. He doesn't want to see Chaos succeed just as much as the Empire.
1st day of requesting a video series about the Horus Heresy
In the next episode The most powerful character in Warhammer is now going to will himself back to life 😁😁😁
Dope vid
If i was stuck in a room with a gun, twi bullets, Archaons, Nagash and Manfred Von Carstein, i would fire at Manfred *twice*, just to be sure.
So, the End Times look very... end. Is there an happy end or do chaos win? Are there books over it or where does the source come from?
The End Times is a series of five novels and miscellaneous short stories, detailing the End Times and the destruction of the Warhammer world.
Who wins in the end?
more more i need more!!
Okay GREAT job Kings and Generals … I mean @Wizards and Warriors… Anyone watching this and reading this I would love some recommendations of where to start reading Warhammer Fantasy books, I’ve heard the story of Vlad is EXTREMELY interesting but I am open to any ideas and suggestions! Thanks in advance and again, GREAT WORK! @Wizards and Warriors
Be very cool if in the Nagash wh mod they add in a quest battle to revive Nagash you need to fight a High Elven and Dwarf army with Orcs and u dont have to win just kill the enemy commander with a Terrorgheist to represent abducting the futture everqueen
The Lizardmen gone fuck these Scavens up!
End times isn't lore, it's fan fiction.
I wish this was tv show
holy smokes lets gooooo!
Insane
I'm just confused as to why they blew up their own universe, I assumed they were still making money from it.
Not really. Due to years of failing sails GW decided to essentially end Fantasy and tried again with AoS. That said due to games like Total War and Vermintide interest doesn’t up and they started working on the Old World
Vlad was a Chad
