Where do I sign up for that deal?
You don't have to be that smart to beat stocks, especially in a bull market. Because of inflation, you will win in stocks. Betting in something like a hedge fund or just the DOW will make your bets a winner when priced in USD. Watch out for taxes In poker, only about %15 of the players win, because the house takes a fee from the pot and from tournament entries, but if you are smart, you can beat weaker players. In sports you are playing in a very high rake environment where you are playing against very sharp professional sports bookies combined with high volume bets that move the line to an accurate place. Sports bets require a genius to know when the house is close enough on a bet, and where they are off by a bit by handicapping games. The advantage the sports bettor has on the house is that he can choose not to bet, where the house must always offer a bet on a given game. tl;dr - Stocks and poker are against weaker competition than sports bets

It's easier to become a successful day trader/investor legally than it is to win huge money on football consistently. I do both things day trade for a living and bet football for fun. Imho odds makers in Vegas are actually far more efficient than the market. To get a 51-52% winning percentage in sports betting over time is extremely rare. You can have a 50% winning mark on day trading and if you're consistently going for a 1 to 2 or 1/3 RR ratio than you can still make good money I have a 63% success rate. There's always exceptions to the rule though. I'm just tired of everyone thinking they're a football betting savant because the real betting savants will never be known or would care to be known. It's not a easy thing to do and everyone at the bar thinks it is.
You have professional bookies and advanced computer programs that determine the odds for every match-up. If you have a 5% vig you would need to win 55% of all your bets to overcome the vig and make money. This is all but impossible in the long run.

Agree with this whole comment section. Think game flows, matchups, what the offense or defense has an advantage at. I’ll give everyone a free long term betting situation that wins 65% of the time. A team at home in the nfl that’s an underdog of 3-4 points against a team that is favored and just won their previous road game. Another one, take the home team against any team that played an OT Game the week before and then has to travel. Again, these situations are rare and you have to look for them, but they’re proven winners and if you put up enough dough on them, you can pocket a few hundred dollars a week on average just on those bets alone. There are some situations that are so rare that have even better odds if you are patient. Teams that played an OT game on the road, traveled back home and then traveled back out across the country for another road game is like 6-30 covering the spread in the last 5 years. That’s an 85% hit but it only happens a few times a year. Be patient and learn what to look for. And never listen to an opinion from tv. Good luck to all

This guy is in jail for insider trading. I’m not sure about his success. We don’t know the entire truth. These are all his claims. It seems to me he made his money off insider trading, not gambling
Walters' "disdain for Wall St." is much higher now. He's been convicted of insider trading and headed to prison for 5 years. He shared his inside info. with Phil Mickelson who was fortunate enough to return his profit of 931k without prosecution. CNBC showed the press conference announcing Walters' indictment by the SEC. They read a number of his trades, all in one co., and I couldn't believe my ears. The judge said his trades were, "amateurishly simple." The jury took relatively no time in their guilty verdict. For 4 years, the guy made money on every trade and did't try to conceal his crystal ball by throwing in a few losses. Walters will have to return 32 million dollars of ill-gotten profit, 11 million of insider dodged losses and a 10 million dollar fine. He gave money to "Dean Foods" formerly ousted CEO in exchange for information about the obvious path of the co.'s stock price. I almost wonder if Walters was tested for dementia because even the worst stock market trader could have turned this inside info. into probably 10 to 15 million and no one would ever know. I think he's 71 so his future is dim. I'm sure he can appeal but, as I mentioned, he doesn't have a leg to stand on.
Bills 13-Browns 6 he lost, but Lions 7-Packers 3 he won.. And then, he won the Patriots, Chargers under, Cowboys over.. So based from those bets, he was definitely ahead - depending on what he bet on the other games, he had a good day that day i think.. he was a master back then!!
Hes not changing the line for the reasons stated He's trying to move the line to middle a bet This allows gamblers to sometimes win both sides of these type bets

You can win at poker without much math ability. It's actually fairly simple percentage math. The key to making profit each time is not letting human nature get the best of you and taking advantage of human nature weakness of others. Mostly greed and anger. If you can control those two things, you'll make consistant profits. Sounds easy, but it took me a few years. I am doing it now, I had to get to know myself and put a few rules in place that I NEVER brake and i've made a profit every year for 6 straight years now. I'm not gonna get rich from it, but its nice having that extra cash
In April 2017, he was found guilty of insider trading after using non-public information from Thomas C. Davis, a board member of Dean Foods. Walters was sentenced to 5 years in prison and fined $10 million. Lawyer Daniel Goldman, then an assistant United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, was part of the trial team.[9] [10][11] Walters' source, company director Thomas C. Davis employing a prepaid cell phone and sometimes the code words "Dallas Cowboys" for Dean Foods, helped him from 2008 to 2014 realize profits and avoid losses in the stock, the Federal jury found. He gained $32 million in profits and avoided $11 million in losses. At the trial, investor Carl C. Icahn was mentioned in relation to Walters’ trading but was not charged with wrongdoing. Golfer Phil Mickelson "was also mentioned during the trial as someone who had traded in Dean Foods shares and once owed nearly $2 million in gambling debts to" Walters. Mickelson "made roughly $1 million trading Dean Foods shares; he agreed to forfeit those profits in a related civil case brought by the Securities and Exchange Commission". Walters was sentenced to 5 years in prison and a $10 million fine. His lawyer said the verdict would be appealed.[12][13] On December 4, 2018, the U.S. 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals upheld the insider trading conviction and 5 year sentence of Billy Walters, even though it chastised an FBI agent for leaking grand jury information about the case.[14] On October 7, 2019, the U.S. Supreme Court refused to hear Las Vegas sports gambler William “Billy” Walters’ appeal of his 2017 insider trading conviction that landed him a five-year prison sentence in a case that also drew attention because of his ties to billionaire investor Carl Icahn and golfer Phil Mickelson.[15] Walters is currently imprisoned at Federal Prison Camp, Pensacola and is scheduled for release on February 14, 2022.
I need some info. I have a 7 team parlay. $20=$32000. Is it possible to win only a couple games and still wall out with gains. I know the numbers but not sure how the parlay works if I only win a couple teams
Why is this so eye-popping? If you're used to playing $20 Nassaus and you drop down to $2 bets, would you give a shit if you won or lost? It's all about your thresholds, both mental and financial, but a systematic approach is all it is. On the other hand, if you make $50M from insider trading in a completely different financial sector, you can afford to blow 7K on one hole. Dude isn't betting with his 401k. He built a bankroll and put it to (good) use. Shit, we're all gamblers. You roll the dice every time you get in your car to drive to work, or board a plane, or even ride a rollercoaster (nowadays). You just realize your equity (arrive w/o incident) 99.9% of the time. A fairly safe bet, but a bet nonetheless. Also, in the poker world, we would refer to insider trading as an angle shoot. Same principle, just have to be inventive on how you concoct said shot. Angle shooters can range from highly-skilled looking to exacerbate any edge to village idiots that can't find legitimate ways to win. Most lean towards the latter.

I bet the refs love it when he sweetens their bottom lines? The best stat is if you have the ref on your side to make the game affecting call.
Now he's going to jail for security fraud and insider trading.
Shoulda kept manipulating sports spreads
Laura Logan was so hot back then.
Sports betting is legal in Delaware
sportsbooks must love CBS for this spot, gambling addicts watching might actually come away with the impression that they can make money gambling

My brother bets thousands on sports teams
He’s knows every team and player
Who’s hurt and who’s not
I’m amazed how many times he’s won thousands
But I never hear about when he loses
I’m surprised he’s still married
Hate to break it to ya but he took the biggest L. He’s in prison for insider trading
Something not adding up about this guy is he legit or not tuff to beat odds over
A long period of time
Just so we're straight. You have to run five miles. Shoot 18 holes of golf, 78 strokes or under, in less than three hours. And the ball has to be in the cup before time expires for $10,000.
Bet?
Is this any different from how any major corporation works they constantly address their operating structure, revenue, they use consultants to address how every penny is spent, dividend forecasts, etc.
Those two old geezers tag teamed Laura. She liked it, and then they let the caddie clean up the sloppy seconds.
This guy must be super duper expensive to get plays from
Trish Reagan looks fab in that green top.
I’d like to watch him play DraftKings
Mr burns DraftKings is complete bullshit. That’s not sports betting that’s chance betting. Good luck
@@brandonmabbitt2059 DraftKings has a sportsbook bro
Everyone knows that he's an insider trader!
I love this story. My new hero.
Zeljko Ranogatec is the worlds biggest gambler. An Australian living on the Isle of White.
Billy Walters is not in the same class as this guy.
Very nice documentary
The only way to win big at gambling is to hire a contractor and build a casino in your house. House always wins....
Docs sport handicappers have documented their year to year earnings and most of them having winning years.
Did you all know hes in prison now? Wont be released until 2022. So much for this success story. He had insider info.
Wish billy Walters a give me a job placing his bets
Not anymore sports betting is everywhere even in Deep South Mississippi.
Lara Logan is the best
Crazy that he would resort to fraud and insider trading if he was that successful at sports gambling...

Every reply has a "random" person trying to push that website. I've never heard of it
I used to trade info with someone who was in Walters's syndicate. Back in the 1990s.
Hes not changing the line for the reasons stated
He's trying to move the line to middle a bet
This allows gamblers to sometimes win both sides of these type bets

You can win at poker without much math ability. It's actually fairly simple percentage math. The key to making profit each time is not letting human nature get the best of you and taking advantage of human nature weakness of others. Mostly greed and anger. If you can control those two things, you'll make consistant profits. Sounds easy, but it took me a few years. I am doing it now, I had to get to know myself and put a few rules in place that I NEVER brake and i've made a profit every year for 6 straight years now. I'm not gonna get rich from it, but its nice having that extra cash
$982,955 gained at the sports book ! Lucky man !
In April 2017, he was found guilty of insider trading after using non-public information from Thomas C. Davis, a board member of Dean Foods. Walters was sentenced to 5 years in prison and fined $10 million. Lawyer Daniel Goldman, then an assistant United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, was part of the trial team.[9] [10][11]
Walters' source, company director Thomas C. His lawyer said the verdict would be appealed.[12][13]
On December 4, 2018, the U.S. 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals upheld the insider trading conviction and 5 year sentence of Billy Walters, even though it chastised an FBI agent for leaking grand jury information about the case.[14]
On October 7, 2019, the U.S. Supreme Court refused to hear Las Vegas sports gambler William “Billy” Walters’ appeal of his 2017 insider trading conviction that landed him a five-year prison sentence in a case that also drew attention because of his ties to billionaire investor Carl Icahn and golfer Phil Mickelson.[15]
Walters is currently imprisoned at Federal Prison Camp, Pensacola and is scheduled for release on February 14, 2022.
I need some info. I have a 7 team parlay. $20=$32000. Is it possible to win only a couple games and still wall out with gains. I know the numbers but not sure how the parlay works if I only win a couple teams
if you lose one in a parlay ur out
It's been reported Zeljko Ranogajec is a bigger bettor.
This is the most attractive reporter I've ever seen
Dude, have you ever had a girlfriend?
Its easy to win fixed games when you know who's going to win!
I think the reporter had a thing for Billy
Well, he is a fascinating, funny, wildly intelligent...and he a very handsome man...why wouldnt she be attracted to him?
Great video. The new Si14bet sports betting exchange with the lowest commission on a win!
Most lean towards the latter.
his secret is insider trading he's about to get some prison time
After 30 years of gambling success, that most likely would have happened by now,he has to report his earnings so he can hide how is operation works but so much,u think the feds ain't checked him out already?,smh
Should have quit while he was ahead. Or at least not got on TV and told everyone about it to attractive Legal Attention.
Insider trading is stock market sports betting is totally different.
If you settle for less your already imprisoned

Agreed. But you try to bet with how the game is going to be rigged.
this guy made his money from illegal insider trading not gambling, got locked up for it.
What do u mean by that?
He's a fraud; was busted for insider trading 6 years later.
Jogn Smith insider trading is not the same thing as sports betting. So unclear on how he’s sports bets can be fraud?
How can anybody watch a game of football WITHOUT having a bet on it ?
