Kim enjoyed taking you through the first part of how to sculpt a figure using Pal Tiya Premium, our all-weather sculpting medium! We hope you'll watch Part 2 when it is released soon!
Im a bit late to this party but new to Pal Tia. This is such a fab video for the larger sculpt. Best ive seen! But if I was going to make a figure for the garden about 12" tall? Could I just use the armature (gauge wire) and add the PT straight on to it? Without the foil? Ie the thickest part will be the torso but I dont really want to go any thicker than maybe 2-3" max? Any advise for smaller figure sculpt armatures would be much appreciated😁
Perhaps if Michelangelo had access to the interwebs he would not have needed to indulge in human dissection all those years ago! So many books, videos and courses out there. Probably best to skip the grave robbing and go google whacking instead! #totallynotaserialkiller
Hi, I am a new and inexperienced user. I am actually ordering my first bag now. I have a koi pond and I am creating a new waterfall this summer. I would like to incorporate fairies and fairy houses as well as various other mystical creatures such as dragons. Would it be possible to get instruction on the small figurine that you used at the beginning of this video? I think it would make a perfect fairy. My grandson and I are going to be making most of the items for the pond. Love your work :)
Hi there, you cannot use our medium in a Koi pond or with aquatic life, see here why: faq.paltiya.com/article/65-can-i-use-pal-tiya-premium-in-aquariums-fish-tanks-and-ponds the little figure at the beginning was simply a tiny clay maquette for Kim to see what she wanted the finished sculpture to look like in Pal Tiya Premium so we don't have any footage on this sorry... Thanks for the lovely words and we hope you use our sculpting medium for things outside the pond :)
@@kittycatgirl1139 This armature was done to demonstrate a way to create an internal frame for a thin delicate figure with no welding. It is accomplished with standard hardware store stuff, pipe fittings, wire, tape, epoxy putty, wood base and foil. Please view the accompanying video to see the actual application of this technique. If you use the contact form on our website or check our social media tomorrow on stories in IG, we will share a sketch of the internal armature and connection points.
The half life sized figure was quite complex. Foil was used on the first day so Kim could wrap her more closely while she was still soft. Plastic and wet cloths were used on the following days when her limbs were stronger. Day 1 you wrap in plastic and on day 2 that's when you add the wet cloth then plastic again :)
pal Tiya looks so so cool, iam a Sculpter that has worked with ceramic fly for years, dejaids, an Pal Tiya sounds like a media i would thrive in, an its air drying,am weather proof, an can work with it in large scale, that's so fasinating, to me i love to sculpt Dragons, dinosurs, Aliens, monsters, sea setpants, mermaids, an.all kinds, of animals, an from Mithos, I so so want to find it, I have yet too order things online, have not even housed PayPal yet, I have only ordered from a ph number an cheated with a real human being an used my credit card, is there a ph number in the USA i can call to speek To A person, iam 61 years old an not verry computer say an deyslexic, so i have some charge even though iam a good sculpted. spelling an navagateing in business such as ordering somthing like Pal Tiya clay could be a problom, I so wish I could get at stores like Michels, crafts to oder it, thank you, (Robert Anthony,(2070 Fransico Blvd Pasifica California,

Thanks for your lovely comment! Yes you can add it straight onto the wire Kim. :) See here: www.paltiya.com/planning.html for more detail.
Is learning anatomy from books enough to sculpt accurately or I do I have to cut into corpses?

How did you join the main armature ? Is that a tape at the joints?
Yeah just masking tape :)
What is the armature - not welded but what
Literally galvanised wire covered in heavy duty tinfoil 👍🏼
@@PalTiyaguage size? & how it’s connected to base?

Why do you wrap this in tin foil and wait a day? I thought you wrapped it in wet cloth first? Thank you!
