    PS Caylus is missing :)

    I really appreciate you telling us which player count(s) is the best. Every game in your list (except keyflower) plays best at more than 2 players. Can you please make another list of Interactive Euro Board Games, designed for more than 2 players but play EQUALLY well (not necessarily the best) at 2 players? Thanks

    • @TimoKytta
      @TimoKytta Год назад

      This was also my question or actually it would be enough just to get a mention if the game works well with two players. So maybe just a 2p👍🏻 or 2p👎🏻 added to the player count text.

    Fabulous list. Some I would love to try if I can get my hands on them. Can't wait for the el grande and T&E reprints. My picks for now would be Brian Boru for pure confrontational games. As for hybrids, I'd pick Dwellings of Eldervale.

    Unusual list. I love half of these and barely familiar with the other half. El Grande is gem, yes! Wanna check Lancaster and Hansa some day.
    Here are some of mine. Pretty much anything by Splotter Spellen. New Frontiers or Carnegie for lighter or heavier variations of Puerto Rico formula. Caylus and Agricola for oldschool meanness. Troyes for snatching other players' dice. And Argent: the Consortium where your "workers" shoot fireballs.
    I also love me some euro area controls like El Grande. Many games by Reiner Knizia: Yellow & Yangtze, Babylonia, Samurai. Then Ginkgopolis and Petrichor have their own unique takes on card-based tile control. Dominant Species: Marine and Cerebria for heavy gamers.

    Thanks much for your videos. You should try and get a better mic and/or put up just a little sound insulation (or hang a blanket from hooks temporarily when you record or something). Your sound could probably pretty easily be improved making this less echoey and more watchable =)

    Great thematic choice, rather unusual, very interesting. Great job to present as clearly each game in about 2 minutes! and with passion. I love interactive games. Bruxelles and Keyflower are in my top 10 ever. Curious about Lancaster and Tower of Babel... I think I understand you're not interested in a mean interactive games review, too bad because I love them: Vanuatu, In the Year of the Dragon, Myrmes... See you

    If Caverna interaction is a gentle argument round the fire after dinner then Hansa Teutonica is a knife fight in a lift.
    I prefer the knife fight.
    Not sure I agree that El Grande is a euro game, I would compare it (favourably) to area of control games like Inis, Cyclades etc.

    El Grande is not a euro game, it's an area control game. Should not be on the list. Teotihuacan, Trajan, Castles of Burgundy or Troyes could easily find their way onto this list.

    • @ChairmanoftheBoard

      @@ChairmanoftheBoard I guess euro games are all about resources, exchanging one thing to another, developing your engine, scoring VP from multiple sources; El Grande has nothing to do with economy, trading, developing etc

    • @ChairmanoftheBoard
      @ChairmanoftheBoard  Год назад +1

      You're not wrong. 99% of the time Euros are about those things but there are exceptions. A Euro is basically another term used to define German-style games that are mechanically simple yet strategic. I suppose the term has been watered down over time.
