      There will be opposition from religious groups which are foreign in india... I have many friends who feel disgusted to chant aum while doing yoga they think it's related to Hindu culture, we have lost our gurukul system of teaching which was the best for education... When we organise a meditation program in our area only a specific community people join and others do not, that's the mindset of people...

    Eating a meal by myself without any distraction would automatically put one on the path of meditation and it would definitely improve ones ability to focus at one thing at one time.

      @@hash_1_ just sit down with the cross legs and with the good posture in the quite place then start chanting of god for (eg- Gayatri mantra or aum chanting) at starting you will very much distracted but with the 1 month of practice every day, you can calm your mind easily and your focus span will increase drastically.

      You can start by chanting this mantra 108 times in front of the altar.
      This is the recommended method in this day and age according to Vedic scriptures.

      2. Try chanting after bath it calms the
      mind
      3. If something comes up and don't bother about it and think that whatever is coming to mind is all the possession of God and come back to your focus on the Mantra

      Slowly, when you will understand how it works, it can only be experienced
      There are tons of resources/comnunities online where you can learn for more advanced techniques later on, eg Reddit has amazing subreddits on meditation

    Takeaways -This is precious and could be life changing experience if we actually start doing everything by complete involvement and focus. This way we are training and building our mind to do everything without any resistance or diversions. Gradually, It goes smooth for us when we do meditation bcos we have program our mind to do everything while being surrender to it or in it . This is one of my favourite video and I had light 💡 moment after watching it

    This has simplified the process of meditation nicely. And about being in the present is one thing that so many people including myself are finding quite difficult. Even now when I was watching the video and was trying to be in the moment but when Guruji shared about having meal by himself, I was kind of went into imagination and doing the same thing but then I realised that right now I am watching video not having meal.

      It is different for each person.
      Let me tell you one thing which you dont know.
      I have attained Darshan of Krishna and I know Only Love and Sacrifice for God is actual Meditation.
      Our Mind is made like we cant Stop thinking.
      If we knowingly stop thinking than we are breaking law of Nature.
      Think Krishna to get him and that is actual Meditation and you already know it.
      Believe in Krishna and Forget the ways, you will get everything when you try to find presence of Krishna everywhere.
      Dont just believe in Others and me.
      Believe in Krishna.
      Krishna should be on mind not the duplicate meditation.

    Based on scientific literature, I see 2 types of meditation - 1. open monitoring (mindfulness) and 2. focused attention (concentration). And every single meditation falls in one of these categories or a mix of two. Do you see the same? Thank you!

      There is another type, tantra meditation, it begins with concentration on a mantra , but it is not just concentration, there is also ideation on the meaning of the mantra, the concentration, brings the mind to one point, and the ideation of the mantra connects one to the infinite fountain of love within, so it begins with concentration but goes far beyond that, going beyond mind to experience what's beyond

    Yes Sir when we close our eyes for meditation then after every other things rush into our mind.How to overcome it, that is the key to medittation.Please do much more discussion on this sir.

    I found that if our day is calm without much disturbing events, I concentrate better. So, it would seem that if one can lead quiet life, meditation is easier.

    .... Good 7 hrs sleep can put me in solid positive frame of mind... So much so that my mind contemplates even enemy can be best friend....But anyways i shall give it a try if it can make me feel better and assist me in getting uninterrupted quality sleep at night, all nights.

    Hare Krishna Gaur Gopal Prabhuji, as per vaishnava philosophy always remember Krishna, never forget Krishna. If I stop glorifying lord and keep observing my bathing process. Will it be ok? is not i am forgetting Krishna or not remembering Krishna. Kindly clarify. Dandavat.
