No tape measure? Yeah, ok. Im glad you were at least able to fix the other issues . I'm glad you're still pushing family. I see why you're frustrated . You are our blueprint. Thank you!
Wow, I’m so glad you said the new contractors name as I follow Bright and Clara. I initially thought you guys were talking about B&C because I’ve seen you property on his website. You scared me for a minute. Thank God you found B&C. B&C’s work is excellent. I am happy you are working with them now and are feeling better about your Ghana build. All the best. 🙏🏽👍🏾👏🏾
From the time I came to your page last night, I said that first floor ceiling was a bit low. I am so glad that you brought in a Structural Engineer to see all the flaws. I know Bright will be doing a good job, I plan on using him once I could sort myself out and move.
@@BlackLove-Gh I am so excited to watch this journey. I can't even imagine a ceiling being 8" low....the heat. Nine feet is ok if you are not doing P.O.P, this seems to be popular in Ghana, in the islands, we just plaster or splatter dash the concrete ceiling. Can you share the dimension of your building and the size of the plot, please. I like to get ideas of what is possible for me to do when I get there.
Wow that's so crazy because I was about to recommend Mr. Bright after following him especially with the Bodley's home. He would definitely be my first pick.
I'm really sorry that you're going through this. I appreciate you sharing your true feelings and experiences. What you have experienced is unfortunately a common tactic used by some contractors. They have already received a significant amount of money and are now deliberately trying to frustrate you as the owners. Their goal is to make you release them so they can move on to the next victim. The good news is, you guys are blessed. It is good to hear that Bright and Clara have taken over the project. Many contractors in Ghana refuse to step in once someone else has started the work. So this is great news. From what I've seen, Bright seems to be more involved even from (I believe) Dubai than most contractors who are based in Ghana. He appears to be very meticulous and professional, providing regular updates and cost breakdowns. You are doing a great job by staying on top of your project and asking the right questions. This will continue to help you set expectations and understand exactly what you should be getting for your money. I wish you all success and blessings. You make a beautiful couple, and your different personalities complement each other well.✌🏾💖🙏🏾✊🏾
Thank you so much! Yes what they did to us was wrong but KARMA will FIX them. Everything we go through is a lesson learned. Thanks to Brite&Clara, our house is in good hands. Yes I love his work ethics.
Keep us updated with the brights ! Not Knuck if you buck 🤣🤣 this the energy you have to keep dealing with this culture. Thank you for yall transparency.
We are looking at Shai hills and Dodowa on a hill also. Trying to get as much information as we can to avoid these things . My husband is Ghanian but you know once they are apart of the diaspora it’s the SOS. Stay on anyone about lies and manipulation because it’s the culture . Trust NO ONE.

They don't know what they're doing, they've made huge mistakes and some of those mistakes are dangerous...There are a couple of good companies in Ghana that maybe willing to take over your project and do it right. Keep on pressing on, you will get there in the end. ....I love the way the video ended 😝
The C.E.O said they will correct the mistakes, yes, but at whos cost, first of all, the mistakes shouldn't have happened in the first place, let alone, not all mistakes can be corrected perfectly when it comes to building..😅😅
I am so sorry you guys are having problems. I know Mr. Bright is good but he also does not live in Ghana and has workers working with him and in as much as he helped the Bodley’s they also had a lot of challenges with some of his workers but he is good and an excellent businessman. I will say do your research and maybe go down to Ghana and sit down with some good people who can help. I will not recommend anyone. I think when you have done a thorough research on the right person to do the job God will lead you to the right person who can assist you accomplish your dream home.
Please name and shame the contractor to save other people from going through what you did or even worse...it's not easy to make money as it is and have to spend mire than you should to keep fixing mistakes that should'nt have been made in the first place. I think that the old contractor just used cheap labour masons who were not really qualified. It's a shame you had to go through that. Please to save others name and shame them. Am glad you found the right contractor who knows what they're doing.
You should let us know who this person is that did not do the work right. Some of us would like to build there if we know who is doing good and who is doing wrong we can avoid headaches and hiccups 🤦🏾♀️
How much Money have you spent so far for the House? You😅 should not have to baby sit while building but it seems like the normal thing have to be done building in Ghana.
All this your talks seems like there is no building plan, if the architect have design the building why will be a balcony with nothing holding it, y'all taking the easy way out, stop blaming
To be clear there wasn’t enough stability to hold up the addition. Original balcony had pillars in the original architectural plans, however, more support was needed and they didn’t make us aware. Sooo there is no blame or finger pointing…truth and facts. Our videos are real.
Please let me know what’s the easy way out? Because we paid for architect plans, and a contractor…everyone has a title and job including us…all we ask is the job to be done according to plan. Enlighten me on your easy way please
You said you want to embrace the culture 🧐🤔 this is the culture!!!!!! It's not procrastination " its slow slow" it's the CULTURE... And saying yes I can is the CULTURE, what would you do if you had to feed your child!!... Ghana is not America, stop trying to make it America... Look in the mirror, you're not embracing them, you feel that you are better than them. Would you respond the same if you were building in London? ⁉️⁉️
Our contractor is not Ghanaian, they are American 🤷🏿♂️. So what do you have to say now. I love the culture that’s why I’m building there. No one is better than anyone, however transparency gains trust. Don’t lie just to get money. If you need to feed your family, honesty will get you further. And yes, if I was building in London I would be acting the same. And I would never build in London. Let’s be clear, we do want to embrace the culture but don’t play in my face and not think there won’t be any consequences. Ghana is not America nor are we trying to make it America. In order for us to build as a people we both have to INNERSTAND each other.

Yes, it’s higher than the American standard which is 8 ft but lower than what we asked for

When building in Ghana you have to get boots on the ground or hire better construction firm that can show you their portfolio.
Exactly, lesson learned
