Just a note. Trent Williams was rated as a 3 star prospect. But now one of the best ever.
I believe when hicks put out his first top 9 or 10 OU wasnt even in it so that shows you the power of Demarco and OU football
I hope we can get kirkland, smothers, green and hill
Congratulations Jose !!!!
now that the rb room is filling up now and in the sec future, we should talk strategy I'm old school so i remember the days of barry switzer and the wishbone and triple option. don't make it the primary offense but just in the red zone & goal line situations. ou has dual threat QBs not like kyler Murray but good ones. keep our defense rested.
It stopped working. That's why nobody runs it anymore. It was a different era, when because teams had twice the scholarships, the talent mismatches were twice as bad. Don't get it twisted, if it DID work, I would love to see it. We will at least get to see a ton of running in Lebby's offense, and it will be against nickel and dime most of the time, which should be fun. Four wide all the way at the sidelines; divide and conquer; run up the middle.
@@Tijuanabill the service academies give people fits with the triple option, just imagine having to worry about a taste of that in an air raid type offense
@@seymourwatson3233 Why though? Why does it give people fits? Because nobody else runs it. Why does nobody else run it? Because when everyone was running it, running something different gave people fits, so they started running that instead. Now we have come full circle. At the end of the day though, the service academies are not winning national championships, they are just winning a few games here and there, that they shouldn't win.
As for a taste of the triple option, I mean....read option is the most common offense in America, after Air Raid. Yes, option plays work. But that doesn't mean we want to have the whole team lined up behind the O-Line, like in the triple option. Now we do the opposite, with wide splits that divide and conquer the middle. But, someday that will change too, and going back to the old will be the new thing to do.
@@Tijuanabill I'm not talking about running it as a primary, I'm talking throwing a few plays in here and there and possibly throwing in passes off of it. The service academies run it because they don't have the athletes to run other offenses and they win more than just a game here and there. Imagine if they had 4 and 5 star players what they could do.
@@seymourwatson3233 Well, you are in luck if you like the option. Jeff Lebby won't be running any triple option, wishbone, or flexbone, but he will run read option all day long.
Congrats Jose💪
Congratulations to Jose
