One of elvis's best performances with the passion and emotion and the power in his voice and almost makes me cry when he says no one will care or no one would cry man if Elvis really knew how much he has done for us he makes me smile makes me laugh makes me cry but most of all he fills my heart and soul with joy and happiness
The brilliance if Elvis Presley lays in the way he knew how to emphasize words, he knew exactly what syllables to press for ultimate deliverance. He doesn't get enough credit for that.
Hi i Frank,Elvis fan from Madrid, Spain... Elvis Presley the King of music,,, Elvis Presley the best singer all times forever....kisses from Spain. Thank you for Elvis reaction. God bless you
What can you say, this man was a gift from God ! He could move every emotion in your body, he lived almost every song he ever sung and every word was from his heart & soul, you can see it in his face and hear it in his voice, simple amazing ! The greatest their ever was or ever will be ! Elvis
This was because Elvis, like Sinatra before him, came from a day & age where singers were performers first, and recording artists second. Both of these men were unparalleled in their ability to “sell” a song - just sing it as if they were living in the moment.
What a beautiful performance that was. The famous opera singer Luciano Pavarotti once said that if Elvis it had any formal vocal training he might well have been the greatest opera singer of the century. And I feel like you can hear that on display here. It also happens on his multiple live performances of the religious hymn How Great Thou Art.
Elvis wasn’t a songwriter, although he contributed to a few songs very early in his career...he was a top notch vocalist and great with interpreting songs all kinds including gospel...he was the boy who dared to rock and sent rock-n-roll music through the roof and made such an impact in the music industry and even today his fan base reaches the four corners of the globe.
It is even not original an English song but a French song nl "Et maintenant" by Gilbert Because and Pierre Delanoë and translated to What now my love by Carl Sigman
You got the end didn’t ya. Your face said it all. Wow is right. Nobody could match Elvis Presley. Nobody. Don’t feel sorry for Elvis he lived a life ten men couldn’t dream of living. Canada
He came before the 'singer songwriter' days. But he damn sure could take a song and own it. At this time, he was already separated from his wife, going through the divorce etc. The set list for this huge show really puts some perspective into where Elvis was emotionally. There were a number of songs reflecting this...'You Gave Me A Mountain', 'My Way', 'It's Over', 'I'm So Lonesome I could Cry', etc. and this song of course. Great material & delivered perfectly. PEACE!
@@kyleelvis3577 Not true. Papers were actually filed in August of ‘72. All I said is they weren’t divorced yet. Didn’t say anything about filing or separation.
The same song from the Aloha Hawaii show is even a bit better (to me) I just like the way he entered that last note with a perfect head turn to the camera at the moment he really opened up, legendary performance.
Alright , I crave this song and preformance so much I want to hear it daily. Three songs that will captivate you with Elvis telling the story Acording to me they go together as a trio to listen to. Just Pretend Stranger in the crowd How the Web was woven. Enjoy and thank you much.
His voice was powerful in the seventies but the voice of the early sixties even better crying in the chapel surrender there's always me Elvis was great in the the 70s but early sixties Nashville voice was much sweeter controled and refind and smoother something blue suspicion anyhow what now my love is a beautiful powerful song great performance by Elvis have a great day ✋✌🏼👍🏼😃
Although Elvis did not write this song he sang it with enough emotion to own its essence. It is also worth noting that this performance was filmed and broadcast live around the world on January 14th 1973 and just 6 days earlier on his 38th birthday January 8th 1973 Elvis formerly filed for divorce from his wife Priscilla.
That is from the TV Special he did in Hawaii. It was spectacular. One you should listen to is "Fever". Watch out though because you will definitely have a fever after it. Make sure you get the Live version.
This song was not written by Elvis. It was actually written in 1961 and the original French version was called "Et maintenant" (and Now). He had sung the song in a few earlier performances and just basically added it to the repertoire for his Aloha Concert simply because he liked the song. Great vid and reaction. PAX
Actually it s a french song, written by Gilbert Becaud,, A great composer and a very popular singer in France.. The french tittle is '''Et Maintenant''''.which means the same thing as the english . I hope you recognized ''''Le bolero de Ravel'''' that inspire G. Becaud.. He also wrote also ''' September Song ., for Neil Diamond, and .'''It must be him'''' that was sang by Vikky Carr.. People (45 years after he's gone) still call Elvis King of Rock'n roll, but he did not like that, he considerd that the only King was God, but I consider him to be the King of Music, but what do you think, is he good enough to be called a Music King?
