Just as Shakespeare contains a plethora of situations so corespondent to reality, Tool contains a range of emotional stimuli that allow us to utilize this artistic medium to learn about reality, as we are escaping from it. Safety is a place we create, by creating a feeling, and that feeling is only made by other humans. Tool is safety for me. I find my home nestled inside it’s red, blue, and black ribbons of silken spirals melodically pulsating to the rhythm of a 14 piece drum set played by the devil himself, while an angel of death sings songs of sorrow and rebirth.
Hollywood, FL 1.19.24 - Thank you from a long time fan for playing Intolerance and my favor Tool song Flood that evening. I had to pick between Thursday or Friday as I couldn't go both nights. I chose well. A song that had started my awakening on multiple levels to this matrix we live in. What great music we have to help fight this psychological war on and for our minds. Thank you again, so much. ❤
To say this song is understated in how good it is in itself is an understatement. This is like your friend who likes The Downward Spiral but has really only heard Closer and Reptile while Ruiner sits there to be stumbled upon only by those who actually listen to the album and not just the hits. This is that for Tool. I know a number of people, Tool fans, who ignore or find this song unappealing on Undertow even still that I've slowly introduced to this and it rose to each one of their top five Tool tracks period. To make another analogy, it's someone finally getting why Hourglass is not only not annoying but is the best ignored track on Eat the Elephant.

Well said my friend. Been a fan you 30 years, still listen to them everyday. 😀
Undertow is the most underrated TOOL album
This ground is not the rock I thought it to be.......
I was wrong, this changes everything.
Heavy shit. Blew my mind back in 92.
Still does
Hollywood, FL 1.19.24 - Thank you from a long time fan for playing Intolerance and my favor Tool song Flood that evening. I had to pick between Thursday or Friday as I couldn't go both nights. I chose well. A song that had started my awakening on multiple levels to this matrix we live in. What great music we have to help fight this psychological war on and for our minds. Thank you again, so much. ❤
they opened with this at the secret sydney show in 2001, so much power live
The most climactic insanely beautiful song ❤
best tool song of all time
First tool c d I bought, what a great journey it's been over the last 30 years. Thanks Tool
This has a strong Melvins presence to it.
At last, someone said it 😂
Joan Of Arc most likely.
I saw this in 2007 Milwaukee still my favorite song. The way the ground crumbles below any paying judgment is epic!
I've been with tool since the beginning for some reason I can't stop playing this track lately this changes everything
The bass guitar riffs from this song is the most intense wicked sound from all TOOL songs ! 🎧🎤
4:14 best Riff out of any tool song
I don't know man...Jambi is pretty rad
@@RDR-qg9pw jambi is great, but even 7empest beats jambi.
The patient is pretty great
@@daddydanks8004 its great but idk how its riffs are compared to undertow, parabola, jambi, flood, and 7empest
Idk man
To say this song is understated in how good it is in itself is an understatement.
Excelent!
Its like every Tool song is better than any other Tool song. This is one of my Favorites. I was wrong this changes everything.
This is beautiful.
Still one of my top 10 Tool somgs!!! Intro and Psychadelics is amazing combo!! Like all Tool songs... so underated
That guy sure did have a monster voice!
I was wrong. This changes everything. 🤘
today, outside was one of the heaviest rain i have ever seen. I emedietly thought of this song
Every man will come to a place where they are destroyed and must start a new way of life to survive or drown. That's what this song is for me.
Maybe most underrated Tool masterpiece
I walk around like a fuckin man eating giant to the beginning of this beautiful song...
Love this song.
Both listening to it and singing it.
flash flood warning popped up on my phone, needed a soundtrack, came here
Nice to see an old man like you on here with me. 😀
Possibly the best tool song ever
Goosebumps.....every fuckin time!!!!🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
I used to be obsessed with Tool. I'm obsessed now...but I used to be too.
😁
My favorite song from Undertow. The drum part and mix really drives the song!
I love this since the day it came out
This song is like a dbz episode and goku finally going super saiyan @7:00 lol
Reminds me so much of The Melvins..
Love it !!!
That's what I said
Talking about Joan of Arc from Houdini. My favorite album and it was like the first album to sound more like POP than UNDERGROUND like the first 4 albums (Gluey Porch Treatments, Ozma, Bullhead, and Lysol).
@@JoseGomez-ys3zs I love Houdini..
I can jam them early albums as well..
@@spacealienjesus709
I've been jamming these albums every week so far. Stoner Witch was best for me as well.
@@spacealienjesus709
I tried their 2010s albums, but Freak Puke was the best one so far, compared to the other albums around the decade.
The song structure is what stands out about this song. And it's just really damn good.
My favourite Tool's song. So intense.
This song is another tool masterpiece for sure
Fucking love the drums in this song. Makes me wish I still played.
Makes me wish i played
Nobody stops you from starting again.
Never too late to pick it back up
Still play man,,
Adam Jones has such an amazing guitar sound that is instantly recognisable.
