20-30 minutes is perfect if you're going to upload 3 times a week like this. Honestly, I could binge watch your city building though lol. If its easier one longer episode once a week would be fine as well. Im not in a hurry, Im just excited to see the city grow.
20-30 min is great. And 3 times a week? He'll yeah! But don't stress yourself about it. We love Our content no matter how long or how often they are uploaded.
First of all, my mother tongue is not English, so I apologize for any typos that may occur due to this. You are the only youtube channel I follow for Cities Skylines videos, I want this series to continue because you are so successful and you make beautiful cities. You taught me a lot about this game. (Note: My English is not very good, but I understand what you say clearly. Thank you for speaking clearly.)
I appreciate short, punchy videos that focus on the development of one aspect of the city. Additionally, I really appreciate how you develop a road network from one steady camera perspective; this makes it much easier to visualise and understand the process.
I personally love longer 1hr or so videos. But I am happy with anything you can put out. I know you have real life stuff going on, work, personal time and so on. Do what you can do. Don’t stress just have fun like what your doing.... Edit: the 1hr is based on 1 or 2 eps a week
Your moment-to-moment building has always been the best I've seen, but to me it seems like your big-picture planning has leveled up since season 2. Loving the series!
This is a great Skylines video. It's the first video I've seen from you, and I like the relaxed style, clean editing and helpful descriptions of your design. I already learned quite a lot and need to improve my organic city designs. Managing density is something I should be using much more. Though I enjoy building organic cities and suburbs, they eventually become too dense. The 20-30 minute format is great. Most Skylines videos I've seen are 50mins-1hr +, and they are way too long. Subscribed!
Fantastic series so far! Love when you have those before/after shots with the camera going in the same perspective. I'm guessing this was when you finished your first batch of recordings due to you explaining what you will do next at the end, but I think the videos would flow better if you just jump into the next builds as opposed to say what you're *gonna * do. Excited to keep watching though! By far best City Skylines channel I've watched ever! Great vids!
My personal opinion regarding video length is that 20-30 minutes is spot on. Not too long and not too short. When it comes down to it, anything is better than nothing. Life places demands on us so that is priority friend.
You're the only content creator with whom I find watching ads throughout the video tolerable -- I'm actually grateful for the opportunity to support such high quality content! If you could sometimes slow down and talk through your process some more (like making your roundabouts) like you did in the previous Design and Manage season, I would appreciate it! Would love a refresher on how you do things so beautifully once in a while.
The Trash Icon appears on this building because it is the main one. So if your farm will have some services unavailable - relevant icon will appear. (sorry for my english)
Hi T4rget, awesome episode as always. Just for notice, the roundabout at 10:51 is facing the wrong way on one segment. And maybe a Disaster Center at 18:15 would be a nice place, what do you think ? Keep the amazing serie, love it :D
30 to 40 minutes is a good starting length for a video, but the two main RUclipsr's I watch that play Cities: Skylines are the legendary *@Biffa Plays Indie Games* himself & *@City Planner Plays* usually have videos between 40 to 60+ minutes long and they are so enjoyable. I know you're your own person and you'll find what works best for you, but please nothing under 30mins if you can help it lol. I believe people just love to immerse themselves in the builds and see the transformations taking place; I usually watch at night, so its very relaxing and therapeutic after a long day at work. Loving the city so far, keep up the great work! 🖤👍🏾
I prefer the 20-40 minute videos, i usually make a coffee and just relax while watching your videos, how you explain your thought process and your voice in general have a very relaxing effect on me. Dont beat yourself up about uploading multiple times a week, i always get excited when i see one of your uploads because its always quality content.
Everytime watching your work on Cities, I'm considering that I want to live in it. Great work. About the shorter Videos, don't mind. I like to watch it.
I love the way you use grids and natural shapes so good together. I get bored of my own cities because I always make grids and it gets boring really quickly. I also love that you teach the objects, policies in-game. I want to make a pretty looking city but I also want know how to use the details like that. I will start a city alongside yours, hopefully this series will contine. I'm excited to see what you'll build next.
You are basically on the level of City Planner Plays, imperatur and Biffa, I love your videos so much man, they're nice, laid-back and you also give tips as well.
Hi T4rget. This new series is awesome. Keep up the good work my man!! Would you think of getting into other games similar to City Skylines, but with a medieval theme twist? Games like Manor Lords or even Foundation. Another game I think you would like is Oxygen Not Included. A little different from city Skylines but the same “city building” concept. I would love to see you play those game with your enormous attention to detail and perfectionism!
The videos are amazing, no matter the length. As long as you're having fun, any content is fine for me. At the dead-end, I'd suggest another area of tall zoned buildings, as the two high density residencial are also at edges of that portion of the island, so a third one would wrap around nicely, but not residencial necessarily, whichever grow as tall work.
i have my doubts if you are going to read this but the videos are perfect, you put an objective to the video and you make it in a way that we can understand with an execellent edition
You asked at the start of the video, "how do you feel about my videos"? For me I thank you very much for whatever you are comfortable doing. I could say more more more, but you have a life too. I gave up playing City Skylines because I always end up in a mess. I will watch and rewatch your videos and hopefully improve. Thank you.😊👍
Mate, your videos are perfect, 20 to 30 minutes is the perfect binging length for me, and plus, they’re super calming, thanks for that! But I don’t want you to stress yourself by trying to pump out daily uploads, because the quality will perhaps get lower, but I love your vids!
I haven't played Cities Skyline in literal years, but did I enjoy binging your four episodes? Heck yeah I did. I really relate to your style of planning, I appreciated your tips and liked the pace of the videos. Keep up the the good job. Looking forward to (hopefully) next week's video!
I was checking for your old videos and I can't believe it's been a year without you lol it was so long! I am glad to have you back with whatevet length and as much as you feel comfortable with 💕 I still can put your old season in the background and I still have fun lol! Hope to help with the algorithm by commenting and helping you with watching adds 🇦🇷 💕
I know I'm a bit behind and I'm also new to this channel but just my feedback. Personally for long term game series, I find anywhere between 30-60 minutes to be great. Considering this game, going much less than 30 minutes does not give a lot per episode, but over an hour means having to find your place if you're watching in multiple sittings. I think it's different for everyone, but I personally think around 45 minutes is great. I think you can play it by ear depending on what you're doing. If you record say adding public transit to a moderate city and that takes you around 20 minutes, then you could make a great 25-30 minute episode. If there's a natural stopping point like that it make sense to use it, but Im personally find with longer videos, up an hour give or take. Idk about everyone else but I don't see a need for certain length episodes. I say just go by what feels right to you at good stopping points.
Great job men. Maybe consider an observatory in that small place at 19:55. I dont normally coment but its such a great pleasure to see your videos that i wanted to give you my full support since in my opinion you deserve it and a lot more. Continue the amasing work!!
So happy you are back, I really enjoy your videos. And your design of course. Will you make your save game available sometime ? Also would you make the last save game of season 2 available ?
Hey there...been playing along with this latest city you have started. I always get to a certain stage and everything seems to fall apart, mind you i'm not running any DLC you have(no DLC but the free ones). As for the city i've not copied your layout exact but have used it as a blueprint. I skipped ahead and already made a non DLC oil industry and Ore and farming etc...My city stats right now are at 25625 population and my money is at a massive 5,953,273 with a 15000 to 16000 weekly profit. So thank you for giving us and me a great example of how to start a new city, believe me if i can get these numbers by watching this series then anyone can CHEERS MATE! nicely done
'Not enough buyers' error is not because of lack of buyers, but lack of trucks. It is happening because you have not put warehouses. Trucks of the extractors are simply inadequate to export out of map. Use the generic warehouses. Also, if the errors persist after cargo train stations, it's because they have bad algorithm(They'll order from anywhere in the city/map and deliver far far away, so they will keep running out of trucks or end up ordering raw materials from the other side of the map). Consider adding 'more effective transfer manager' mod later on and you'll never have supply chain issues in the industries DLC buildings. It just prioritizes nearest building for orders, so the problem with garbage/police on the farming main building will also be fixed. If you make specialized industry across the city, unique industries will end up ordering from far away places and they'll run out of raw materials frequently because the trucks take time to arrive. The mod will fix that behavior as well.
I know this isn’t a helpful feedback but just wanted to say don’t forget to take care of yourself also. Regardless of the length 3 videos a week must be taxing, take care.
Hi! I am also a huge fan of this game and created big cities with almost perfect traffic flow, and I have an advice for you. If you would like to accelerate the problem solving of not having enough buyers for the products from the farming area, you should add districts with "local and organical products" so the citizens buy from your farm instantly;) Love your vids, keep up the good work
I for one also think 20-30 minutes are perfect (although statistics say human tend to prefer shorter videos). But since this is a gameplay thing, it might be okay. I enjoy your stuff!
Regarding not enough buyers for products, you should consider plopping down a couple warehouses, both for raw resources and finished products. They act as a buffer and provide more trucks to export
loving the new area! the semi-circle suburbs, and half-circle high rises look great. and i really like the new nature reserve. that trash island would maybe look best with a bunch of high rises; make it look like a mini Tokyo. the industrial zone should be closer to the highway.. maybe up the slope from the original town. trash could also go on the other side of the mountain, by the rails. it has highway access, and wouldn't take up much space. anyway, thanks for another video! cheers! Amazing video as always!!! Nicely done. I have a small suggestion. Regarding the problem of your farming industry with exporting products, i think that it will be solved if you place some more silos.

i just seen it too

HAHAHAHAHA
Target: I dont want to go overboard with this area.
*Goes overboard*
I think the farm area needs more storage like silos or warehouses. That might help with the "not enough buyers" problem
came here to post this exact same comment lol
I thought it was the big factories that buy the products ?
20-30 minutes is perfect if you're going to upload 3 times a week like this. Honestly, I could binge watch your city building though lol. If its easier one longer episode once a week would be fine as well. Im not in a hurry, Im just excited to see the city grow.

Yup Same ;)
Are more episodes possible? Haha. I don't know if I like playing skylines or watching YOU play skylines better.

I don´t mind the short Episodes. Makes them very bingable.

Your cities look better and better, really enjoy seeing your videos in my inbox. Thanks for the content!
Thank you, man. My saturday already become better.
Yeah, T4rget is one of the only RUclipsrs I actually get hyped for
18:14 Maybe you can make an amusement park there with a Ferris Wheel dedicated to those amazing city view.
Love this season Man!
“People new what they were getting into”. That’s funny 😄
Perfect length. I love the short videos. I’ve stopped watching other builders because they don’t care about my time. Thanks.
These videos are almost the perfect length, maybe an extra 10-15 mins but it’s still a good length
We still need more
I like how your building improves over the different seasons of design and edit

I very much enjoy how you planned ahead at the end even if it’s just a rough plan-it helps me build the good habit too
I do expect a proper time-lapse with Vindsvept music for that big farm land overhaul you promised : )

Hi! I am also a huge fan of this game and created big cities with almost perfect traffic flow, and I have an advice for you. When the girl and her dog jumped the gap from the rooftop bar to the freeway sidewalk at 19:50 lmao. Hope she got home ok.
Regarding not enough buyers for products, you should consider plopping down a couple warehouses, both for raw resources and finished products. They act as a buffer and provide more trucks to export
Your videos are so cozy, definitely one of my new favorite channels.
loving the new area! the semi-circle suburbs, and half-circle high rises look great. and i really like the new nature reserve.
that trash island would maybe look best with a bunch of high rises; make it look like a mini Tokyo.
the industrial zone should be closer to the highway.. maybe up the slope from the original town. trash could also go on the other side of the mountain, by the rails. it has highway access, and wouldn't take up much space.
anyway, thanks for another video!
cheers!
PS: i miss the "what's good, youtube?" greeting... and watching the citizens doing their thing during the outro.
What a good timing to wake up and have breakfast watching target 💕
At the end of the dirt road you should put, lighthouse,or a some ancient ruin in the forest.

omg thats so funny hahahaha

what?
