  • On this episode we cover an overview of the complete Haveston 2018 line (thus far anyway). Haveston hit the scene a few years back and really made an impact on the market of premium NATO strap options. With their high quality yet rugged military inspired designs and exceptionally polished brand history and motivations, the combination has continually proven to be a winning formula. Now with their latest iterations, Haveston has broken their lineup into 3 subcategories strap that really distill down the brand ethos into separate strap lines vs. their original one-strap-fits-all approach. I think they've continued on, in the right direction and have secured their space in the argument for best NATO-style strap on the market today, let me know what you think in the comments below, thanks guy's!

Like the fact that the buckle hits on the center of the wrist, most NATO's the buckle is way up on the side and not really my thing! Think I could rock with those parade models!!

Thanks for the review on the rather complete and expanded Haveston strap line ot date.
I love Haveston straps, especially the ones with the latest A2 update with single pass. I have the fleet and filed sets in A2 already, would like to get the newer Redstone B strap you also have on your table as well. I really gravitate towards the Havestons primarily for my Glycine Airman 18, but they work so well on many other watches.
The quality, variety and fit are all great. I could easily see getting every one at some point as they all have a place to use on my current watch collection. Also glad they added the brushed finish option.. strange they didn't have it before, but now they do and that's my preferred finish option over high-polish or any other finish.. it has just enough shine, but it's not overly shiny like high-polish so you can wear it in a more dress down tool fashion if needs be.. granted these are nato straps anyways, so not really dressy look, but I just think brushed finish is most versatile in general.
BTW, should these really be considered NATO straps? Especially with the single pass, i think it's more Zulu style. Doesn't really matter what you consider them, they are great straps none the less, but I personally consider them to be Zulu... but, I think very few people use the term zulu these days and Nato is just the colloquial moniker for these general types of straps.
To reiterate, I think the best things about the Haveston straps are their variety in material, excellent color palettes and combos, the new A2 single pass design coupled with the adjustable keeper that is at the end which is very important and better than any other adjustable keeper.. it keeps adjusts to keep the loose end secure versus and others that adjust the one between the last keeper and the buckle which is frankly less important and useful to me. And, since the first version and on, they really do seem to have nailed the way the buckle ends up on the bottom of the wrist which is right. Most natos always seem to end up towards one side of the wrist more.

How many times can you say the words "actually" and "basically" in a 20 minute video? Answer - way to many times.
